Where suddenly the screen just does not register any touch? I find this happens on the lock screen occasionally, when i try and slide to unlock, nothing happens, its like the screen is not detecting any actions. I usually end up having to hold both power/home buttons until the phone restarts because even the 'slide to power off' won't work.
View 6 RepliesI was running the cnbc real time app and my screen went dark. I could see the backlight was still on but the screen was a lit black screen. For a few minutes I presses all the buttons and finally the phone booted up.
This morning my phone did the same thing for no reason. I finally had to press both the power button and home screen button to get it to re boot. When I ran the new game. Eliminate gun range, the phone did the same thing My concern is that I may not be able to replicate it at the genius bar if I take the phone there
I just upgraded to the latest version - iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 4, but now the screen is freezing all the time, and the phone shuts down. Is this a problem with the new 5.1 version? What can I do to fix it?

Since yesterday all the sudden my iphone 3gs is freezing at the slide to unlock screen. You can slide it over and then after a few minutes the phone will go to the circle with the lines on it screen then all the sudden stop doing anything. If I hold the top button and home button down I can hard reboot the phone and it works again until I have to slide to unlock then it happens again. The weird thing about this is that it only seems to be happening when the phone is not on a wifi network only 3g. What can I do about this? I have the latest iOS update installed and it's been installed for a while.

After updating my iphone 4s today to the new IOS 5.1.1 software, the phone has started lagging!! and the screen has kept freezing for more than an hour and I couldn't turn the phone off, or access the iphone!! it was in a complete lagging stage!

My E7 is screen is freezing up after a phone call or just after general use. It keeps happening every day. I must force a power rebooot to get the phone working again. I have called Nokia and have exhusted every option which included reloading Bella. Last resort is Nokia want's me to send my phone to Texas for a tech to investagate the problem. I think there is some kind of software problem with the locking of the phone screen and the locking switch logic on the side of the phone. When the problem happens the sceen will not work to my touch. The sceen freezes without touching.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery time I either try to make a call, or answer a call, the screen on my phone goes off (although the call will still continue, and the light round the button remains on.) It then won't unfreeze at all, so I can't hang up the call without taking the battery out of my phone. Pressing the power button has no effect, and it doesn't matter whether I have the phone to my head or not. My phone did have this problem a couple of months ago but seemed to get rid of it itself.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy HTC desire HD screen keeps on freezing, it will be working fine i will put it down for 5 mins and when i go to unlock it, the touch screen just gives up the go and does not work. if i turn it off and on again it will work fine for about 2 hours and i have to do the same again. I have have done a factory reset wich did nothing apart from loosing all my contacts. gerrr.

I couldn't switch off the phone with the power button so I removed the battery. When I switch on the phone now, it freezes on the boot-up screen and stays there. The only thing I can do is remove the battery.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the past three weeks my S5 has been flickering and the screen will freeze up. When I try to text the screen shakes up and down and I can't type the letters. When I'm on wifi it "seems" to work better, but when I'm not on wifi it's definitely much worse. Any screen that I go into it does this and it's getting worse. Sometimes it will freeze and I just have to leave it for a few minutes before I can do anything on it.

Now my new curve keeps freezing when I'm on the internet, the screen will get white lines across it which gradually get bigger until the whole screen is white. A reboot doesn't work unless the phone is plugged into the charger and the problem never happens when the phone is on charge.I've tried changing the browser settings so JavaScript isn't enabled, I've also reinstalled the software and finally decided to wipe my blackberry and restored it to the file i had saved from my old curve and I'm still getting the same problem.
I'm not sure whether it's linked to the battery as it also happens when making a call if the battery is low and when I reboot my curve after it's gone to a white screen the battery has usually dropped a few bars (usually from full to 2 bars)
I've been having problems with my blackberry curve 9300 for the past month, quite often now I get the timer come up on my screen and I cant do anything for sometimes hours, I have done a software update and I end all my apps every night but it still happens I've even wiped everything off my phone and still getting the same problem. This happened with my last blckberry as well but I sent that one off and your company didn't know what was wrong with it and it got sent back to be with even more problems than it did have. Is there a way of resolving this without sending it off?

View 10 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry storm 2 with vodafone (in the netherlands) Since having the phone the screen has been freezing. In other words every now and then (atleast once a day) i try to click on a app in the middle of the screen and it reacts as if i am pressing the ESC button....sending me back to the desktop. If after calling i want to end a call i press the red button and it again sends me back to the desktop but the conversation carrys on going (really annoying if you get voice mail...can cost a bomb shell) After a while or after pressing many buttons in the middle it starts to act normally again. So this is the problem...i have tried a battery pull, i have tried leaving the battery out for 3/5 days i have even had the phone and battery in a bag of rice to dry it out (as i heard it might have been damp) all with failiure.

During use, the phone would freeze, and when I turn on my phone again, I am greeted with a white-pixelated mosaic. I can receive notifications, and I can unlock my phone, well everything works really but I cant see the screen. Usually taking out the battery would work, but that stopped working. Now I just pray randomly pressing stuff will work. Then whenever I opened the game pad, the same thing would happen, every time. When it came back, I tried updating the phone, all my apps, I tried everything, and it keeps happening, and now its stuck, and wont come back to normal. I got my phone for a reason, I rarely even played on it, I just called and sent texts, and now its not working.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

Lately I am having freezing issues randomly. it's getting worse. When it freezes pressing the power button to sleep then waking up works good . Sometimes about 15 min keeps freezing repeatedly. rebooting when its freezing restarts with color pixels screen. When it reboots then works good.
Today I noticed when i open outlook or do anything else e.g. in system it freezes, but same time i play candy crush saga no freezing.
Now I have uninstalled facebook, outlook and any other app i do not need. still freezes. I have booted in safe mode it also freezes there.
Another thing when i put it to charge when its freezing on my ravpower wireless charger the screen flickers or cut or half display.
have recently updated to various software bundles, 7.1 1149. all fine except when receive message or have call the screen goes haywire and it takes 15 minutes for the screen to restore itself. have tried reloading software, keep getting error 507. should i perform a full factory reset on the device?

I have noticed that while I am playing that the screen will just freeze for about 3-5 seconds. There is no specific time when this happens, but it does happenevery 1-5 minutes. When the screen freezes the sound continues. This happens multiple times during game play.
I find this rather strange and would like to know if anyone else has noticed this. When I first noticed it in Hungry Shark, I thought maybe it was a problem with the game, but then I started playing Angry Birds and I was seeing the same behavior. I have to believe that this is a hardware or OS conflict since it is happening in multiple apps. I don't remember seeing any notifications or phone calls when this happens.
