I tried to connect my phone to my Chromecast tonight both via the quick setting shortcut, and the app, and the second I started screen mirroring, and I hit my home button, the screen on my phone half froze up could not un freeze and I had keep on restarting my phone over and over again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy nexus 5 LG D821 2months old was first having battery issue after the 16MB update. That was fixed reinstalled facebook & Outlook .
Lately I am having freezing issues randomly. it's getting worse. When it freezes pressing the power button to sleep then waking up works good . Sometimes about 15 min keeps freezing repeatedly. rebooting when its freezing restarts with color pixels screen. When it reboots then works good.
Today I noticed when i open outlook or do anything else e.g. in system it freezes, but same time i play candy crush saga no freezing.
Now I have uninstalled facebook, outlook and any other app i do not need. still freezes. I have booted in safe mode it also freezes there.
Another thing when i put it to charge when its freezing on my ravpower wireless charger the screen flickers or cut or half display.
There is no toggle to enable cast on the stock rom, but on the custom roms there is. I want to remain on stock but I also want the screen casting to television to work. How to enable it in the stock rom?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've had my nexus 6 for about 2 weeks. The first week I had it, everything was good. No issues at all. Then, a couple days ago I went to open chrome and a pop up came up saying I had a virus. I backed out of it, downloaded AVANT and it didn't find any issues. Now when I go to chrome, the phone randomly redirects to the play store trying to get get me to download all kinds of different apps. I have run the adware and antivirus software and I have also done a full factory reset on the phone.

The latest update keeps giving me error 504 from the play store which I've googled and done the things suggested for the error. Wipe cache and data of play store. Remove Google account and log it back in. But still nothing so i manually downloaded from apk mirror and even that way says not installed when trying to update.

Every time I get a text from her and open it up through the notification bar, the link that I sent shows up in the text box to send to her again. View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night I was getting annoyed by some screen flickering in Chrome. I was trying to pinpoint the issue, but it is not that easy. For now it only happens in chrome under these conditions:
Landscape orientation
Using Swiftkey flow input
Chrome tries to fill in something you already searched for
Sometimes I have to delete and restart typing in the keywords in order for the issue to appear.
It kinda happens when the omni-box gets auto-filled when trying to flow type on the swiftkey keyboard, the right portion of the screen will start to flicker like it is some sort of VRAM corruption.
This doesn't happen with stock google keyboard. Is it possible that hardware is still ok, can an app under certain circumstances do that? I only received my 6p a week ago.
When using Chrome to view a page with white text on a black background, white lines appear under the scroll bar on the right of the screen. They track with the text as I scroll up and down. I also notice them on white background/black text, but it is harder to see.Is this normal from Chrome/AMOLED screens or is there a hardware issue with my phone?

I'm wondering if the storage is degrading... I would rather not upgrade since none of the other devices are significant steps up from the Nexus 5. I'm running Stock and ElementalX.

Everything was working fine until approximately 5-6 weeks ago when the widgets began freezing multiple times per day requiring a reboot to reactivate. When the widgets freeze - everything else works fine. I have gone through several exercises trying to determine the cause to no avail. I've removed all of the widgets and reintroduced one at a time, but can't pinpoint any one widget as being the issue. I currently use the following widgets: Weather Channel, The Score, Google Now, Calendar, Gmail and Flipboard.
Getting a lot of notices to wait or quit the stock android browser.. Phone is not full or running too many apps.. I notice the same on my mac chrome also. Beach balling a lot..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was sitting down with my nexus on my leg with about 40% battery left when it suddenly turned off and then flicked to the google startup page before going blank. After attempting to turn it on again (to no avail), I resorted to plugging it in, which resulted in the phone looping on the google page then vibrating before repeating. I tried to get it into the bootloader menu, but it appeared and then reverted to the google page after the phone vibrated.
I've tried looking up solutions, but the only plausible situation for me seems to be returning it so the warranty can take over. The only hitch with that being that the bootloader is unlocked (not rooted, just the bootloader). I really am stuck, and do not know what to do
When I connect my z3 Phone to my tv with mhl- cable the WiFi connection breaks down. Its impossible to me to stream from 4g.
View 4 Replies View RelatedUpgraded from my 2013 Moto X. I use the cast screen feature to play music onto my Samsung smart TVs. Same internet access (UVerse). Never had an issue with screen lagging or sound skipping, even when using the 2013 Moto X for other activities while music is playing. With the new XPE it's horrible, even when it's just sitting on my desk. Is my WiFi direct not set up properly? I also feel my Google drive and Yahoo email app are incredibly slow now. I don't want to return this otherwise great phone, but it's not performing how I thought it would.

I've tried to change the homepage, the subsequent tabs, delete and reinstall the update, but no avail. It still tries to load the deleted document.

I've looked under the help section in Chrome, but there instructions to change my homepage don't show the same settings that I have on my phone. What Chrome shows me is to go to "Settings, under Appearance check the box "Show Home Page' button, click change, On my phone I have 3 vertical dots and I select Settings, then there is "Home Page (off or on), click on that there is a box for default and I click the large dot at the top of the screen for on or off and the url is showing: sprint.com.How do I change that?

Now however, my sot is barely at 2 1/2 hours again, and my top usage is chrome. It's pretty frustrating because I stopped using Facebook altogether, and in still having poor battery. I think chrome is not letting it doze.
