my HTC desire HD screen keeps on freezing, it will be working fine i will put it down for 5 mins and when i go to unlock it, the touch screen just gives up the go and does not work. if i turn it off and on again it will work fine for about 2 hours and i have to do the same again. I have have done a factory reset wich did nothing apart from loosing all my contacts. gerrr.
View 1 RepliesMy E7 is screen is freezing up after a phone call or just after general use. It keeps happening every day. I must force a power rebooot to get the phone working again. I have called Nokia and have exhusted every option which included reloading Bella. Last resort is Nokia want's me to send my phone to Texas for a tech to investagate the problem. I think there is some kind of software problem with the locking of the phone screen and the locking switch logic on the side of the phone. When the problem happens the sceen will not work to my touch. The sceen freezes without touching.

I find this happens on the lock screen occasionally, when i try and slide to unlock, nothing happens, its like the screen is not detecting any actions. I usually end up having to hold both power/home buttons until the phone restarts because even the 'slide to power off' won't work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I either try to make a call, or answer a call, the screen on my phone goes off (although the call will still continue, and the light round the button remains on.) It then won't unfreeze at all, so I can't hang up the call without taking the battery out of my phone. Pressing the power button has no effect, and it doesn't matter whether I have the phone to my head or not. My phone did have this problem a couple of months ago but seemed to get rid of it itself.

I've tried in the browser and also opera.I've gone to Settings->Display and auto-rotate is ticked. I did a G-Sensor calibration and that didn't help either.Is it possible that the accelerometer is broken? How can I test it to see if it's working?I also tried to play Replica Island using the accelerometer and the robot won't move no matter which way I tilt the phone.

Unlike the "how to apply an HTC protector" video, does this part only have one layer to peel off and thus only one tab? Should I apply it or risk my screen? If I do apply and it gets scratched etc or, more likely, I cock it up, how do I remove it and clean the screen?

Basically after using the phone for several hours the responsiveness dulled and things like double taps become harder and the speed at which i can type is reduced. This goes away after a reboot so i know it is software related rather than hardware. Programs i have running are Wordfeud, tapatalk, internet, drag racing, facebook and mail.is there a way to restart the touch screen without rebooting?

When I log on to HTC Sense from my PC nothing works just a blank screen apart from a dialogue box saying that Phone Finder is disabled but on the phone it shows it as being active.I've tried deactivating it on the phone and syncing HTC Sense etc but still no joy.

I couldn't switch off the phone with the power button so I removed the battery. When I switch on the phone now, it freezes on the boot-up screen and stays there. For the past three weeks my S5 has been flickering and the screen will freeze up. When I try to text the screen shakes up and down and I can't type the letters. When I'm on wifi it "seems" to work better, but when I'm not on wifi it's definitely much worse. Any screen that I go into it does this and it's getting worse. Sometimes it will freeze and I just have to leave it for a few minutes before I can do anything on it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis week I've been having trouble in that, when I close an app some times instead of going straight to the home screen I get a white screen with the HTC logo in green for a couple of seconds the I get a black screen with the animated circle in the middle to show it's loading, then it does get back to the home screen, almost like a mini crash. Doesn't do it all the time, but nearly at some point every day now, I've also come across a wierd problem where the screen gets stuck on full brightness, when I check the screen settings the auto is unticked, I re-tick and it'll owrk for a few days and then revert at some point all very weird, just wondered if anyone else has experienced this, I'm wondering if an app is causing I downloaded quite a few new apps last weekend and thats when the problem started, I've removed quite a few apps but the problme won't go away.

Now my new curve keeps freezing when I'm on the internet, the screen will get white lines across it which gradually get bigger until the whole screen is white. A reboot doesn't work unless the phone is plugged into the charger and the problem never happens when the phone is on charge.I've tried changing the browser settings so JavaScript isn't enabled, I've also reinstalled the software and finally decided to wipe my blackberry and restored it to the file i had saved from my old curve and I'm still getting the same problem.
I'm not sure whether it's linked to the battery as it also happens when making a call if the battery is low and when I reboot my curve after it's gone to a white screen the battery has usually dropped a few bars (usually from full to 2 bars)
I've been having problems with my blackberry curve 9300 for the past month, quite often now I get the timer come up on my screen and I cant do anything for sometimes hours, I have done a software update and I end all my apps every night but it still happens I've even wiped everything off my phone and still getting the same problem. This happened with my last blckberry as well but I sent that one off and your company didn't know what was wrong with it and it got sent back to be with even more problems than it did have. Is there a way of resolving this without sending it off?

View 10 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry storm 2 with vodafone (in the netherlands) Since having the phone the screen has been freezing. In other words every now and then (atleast once a day) i try to click on a app in the middle of the screen and it reacts as if i am pressing the ESC button....sending me back to the desktop. If after calling i want to end a call i press the red button and it again sends me back to the desktop but the conversation carrys on going (really annoying if you get voice mail...can cost a bomb shell) After a while or after pressing many buttons in the middle it starts to act normally again. So this is the problem...i have tried a battery pull, i have tried leaving the battery out for 3/5 days i have even had the phone and battery in a bag of rice to dry it out (as i heard it might have been damp) all with failiure.

You can slide it over and then after a few minutes the phone will go to the circle with the lines on it screen then all the sudden stop doing anything. If I hold the top button and home button down I can hard reboot the phone and it works again until I have to slide to unlock then it happens again. The weird thing about this is that it only seems to be happening when the phone is not on a wifi network only 3g. What can I do about this? I have the latest iOS update installed and it's been installed for a while.
