Nov 16, 2011when accessing the applications menu the touch screen will freeze for almost 5 Sec, then it will respond again, but if exit to phone home screen then i access the application menu the problem starts again freezing for 5 Sec.

Feb 14, 2010i have a blackberry storm 2 with vodafone (in the netherlands) Since having the phone the screen has been freezing. In other words every now and then (atleast once a day) i try to click on a app in the middle of the screen and it reacts as if i am pressing the ESC button....sending me back to the desktop. If after calling i want to end a call i press the red button and it again sends me back to the desktop but the conversation carrys on going (really annoying if you get voice mail...can cost a bomb shell) After a while or after pressing many buttons in the middle it starts to act normally again. So this is the problem...i have tried a battery pull, i have tried leaving the battery out for 3/5 days i have even had the phone and battery in a bag of rice to dry it out (as i heard it might have been damp) all with failiure.

Aug 3, 2012My storm 2 is broken...The touch screen has suddenly stopped working and everythime I boot the phone I get a white screen with various different errors and codes. Each time errors are different...Im sure the phone is unrepairabl so I need to recover my BBM contacts... I've recovered my phonebook, music, pics, files etc from previous backups but I need my BBM contacts... If I can remote access the phone from my laptop I can do it but I don't know how...

Dec 27, 2010I just got a new BlackBerry Storm 9520 a few days again, and am now experiencing difficulties with the display.On the main menu (in portrait view) instead of showing application icons, it shows an oncreen keyboard which i cannot remove. Several times the keyboard has presented with jumbled letters and numbers, but then reverts back to QWERTY view.I am confused as to why this is happening.

Jul 19, 2011A few weeks ago I bought my first Blackberry - Storm 9500, Grade A on ebay.Last week on holiday I left it in the glove box of the car for a couple of days and the touch screen stopped working. I could scroll and highlight but nothing would open.
Returning from my holiday I looked online and realised there was a reset button behind the battery cover.I pressed this last night and the phone worked perfectly again.
However this morning the phone was back to the same issue and now pressing that button does nothing.This is a full description of the issues;Green button works. Red button works, Return button works. Mebu button works. Handset lock button works.Camera button does not function.Volume up and down buttons do not function.Touch screen will scroll on menu and highlights apps, but upon clicking nothing opens.
So although I can press the gree button to answer a call - I can't make a call because I can't select a contact or numbers to dial.
I have bought a USB lead to see if the phone needs an update or to see if I can reset it but i've never connected a phone to my PC before so I'll have to look at it in the morning with the manual.I have personal data on the phone which I must remove if I end up sending it back - I expected to be able to use all the functions of the phone via my PC.
BB Storm :: Touch Screen Digitizer In 9550?
Dec 22, 2010I have a used BlackBerry Storm2 9550. There is a small issue with the touch screen digitizer, and replacing the digitizer will fix the problem. But the technician said thet, he can't replace the digitizer without replacing the whole LCD screen, as the both LCD screen and digitizer comes as a one unit. But on eBay I saw that some sellers sells the digitizer without the LCD screen.
Is it true? My LCD screen works properly. Can't I replace the touch screen digitizer, without replacing my LCD screen.

Nov 11, 2011Yesterday me Touchscreen stop working. I tried to restart it for 3 or 4 times, but itīs still not working. So I tried to download the software again but itīs still the same. Only the Keys on the sides are working, but not the touchscreen.

Mar 10, 2011Been a Blackberry user since March last year, although I seem to have struck lucky with the particular blackberry I've got - my Storm2 9520 has been a catalogue of problems since the start.Anyway, last night I dropped the phone in my room, and the screen broke. Now, all that can be seen is a bizarre, inky pattern onscreen, obscuring everything bar the very bottom of the view. However, the glass screen itself is undamaged. Whenever I've looked on the internet for fixes, nearly all of them seem to deal with cracked glass screens, but my screen is undamaged - the display and what's showing up onscreen is the problem. Now, I'm not very tech-savvy, so here's my questions for you all:
1) what is the nature of this problem, i.e.. what is actually broken?
2) does my Vodafone warranty likely cover this? I've already sent the phone off once to be fixed, when the screen was not working properly and wouldn't respond properly to my button presses.
3) If no to 2), how easy would it be to affect a fix myself? Would it simply be a case of buying a new screen part and fitting it?
BB Storm 9500 :: Touch Screen Issue Unresponsive
Jan 25, 2010Lately the touch screen of my storm has been doing something pretty weird. For the past few weeks, when I try to select something on one side of the screen,it won't respond. Like that side of the screen is dead or something. Then there are times when I try to select something that's on the right, the icon on the opposite side of the screen lights up.Same thing hapens when its in landscape view.And sometimes it doesn't even respond at all. It's most problematic when I try to use the keyboard function. Letters opposite of what I want light up. I've been turning the storm around so that the letter I want to sellect is on the responsive side of the screen, and sometimes I have to tap repeatedly just to get the button I want highlighted.Used to be that it would come and go, but more recently it's been coming more often than it is going.I've already tried a battery pull, but I don't think it worked. And it's been a while since I upgraded it, but only because I lost the software and cord to connect it to the computer.What do I need to do?

Mar 6, 2011I have been around and around with customer service on this- the buttons on lower right hand corner of my phon (including the red button and return button) do not work. I have pulled the battery repeatedly, and wiped the phone, all of which make it work just fine for an hour or so before the problem returns. Customer service insists the problem is related to the data in my phone (?) which is ridiculous. They keep encouraging me to upgrade, but I've not had the phone for a year

Apr 18, 2010I just received my new storm 2 after replacing the first because the screen wouldn't click in the corner. I made sure I got one with a march 5th branding so I had the updated screen. Earlier today the send, Menu, Return, and End keys plus the screen right next to the started this "TINKing" noise. The other side still "clicks".

Jun 9, 2010I bought a 9520 couple of months ago and face a peculiar intermittent problem. When I try to dial a phone number, none of the digits(except 0) get displayed on the screen. It happened a week ago and then after 3 -4 restarts came back to normal. But its happened again and is very frustrating coz am unable to dial any new numbers. This occurs only when you try to dial a number.

Jan 25, 2011Sometimes, during incoming calls, the screen shuffles between portrait and landscape mode. And when I press the green accept button (in either mode), the ring tone stops and after a second or so, it starts to ring again. And obviously, during all this, I am not able to receive the call using the screen button.I know the simple solution is to use the physical green button at the bottom but would still like to resolve it. Is it a genuine problem with all bb storm 9520s? Is there a fix to this by changing accelerometer settings or something?

Please enlighten me on this.The touch screen of my phone doesn't seem "fix" like other touch screen phone. So I lefted the screen with a guitar clip, put a thin lint removing cloth underscreen. Got all the dust out, I was excited phone was looking Good.BUT NOW PHONE DOES NOT RESPOND TO ANY TOUCH AT ALL. May 20, 2010when I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!

It doesn't work when I press the menu button either. I'm still recieving messages, though, but I can't get to them, obviously. Apr 1, 2010Everytime I get a new text, when I try to open it freezes my phone up and I have to hit escape key to get out of it, but when I do that and try to get back to the SMS it works but then the text is blank and I cant read it. It happens randomly, even when in a new SMS convo, so its not like its taking up memory. Then sometimes it wont even let me open the text at all, and then I have to delete it and start a new one just to reply back.Also its not just one contact, its all the SMS messages. It started doing it in .517, then I switched to a hybrid, it kept doing it, and then I tried the .607 and Im still getting it.

Feb 12, 2010I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

My Sprint Touch Pro's touchscreen slowly died today. And I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. I bought it on eBay and apparently the warranty is non-transferable so that's void. I have it on Boost so I'm guessing going to Sprint is out of the question also.
