Why oh why does this phone freeze on me? I think it hates me as much as I hate it. I have missed may vital calls. Have turned it off and on again works for a while then the same problem happens. It is only 2 months old.
View 4 Repliesi realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI am getting issues while using Nokia Drive + Beta, my position isn't moving when driving or taking 5 - 10 seconds to update then just freezes again.
it seems that i set destination, it finds me and my destination fine, i click start, it gives the first direction fine, i start driving and nothing, "my position" on the display doesn't move, the only way i can update it is "stop navigation" then "set destination" again where it picks up my new location.
i've ensured location services are on, location within the app is turned on, i've checked my connection is "online"...are there any other settings i should be aware of?

landmarks is off,
map colours automatic
updated maps
navigation licence is global
i am using it in a windscreen mount that grips the top and bottom of the phone with little "arms", i've tried in both landscape and portrait orientation. bluetooth is on and hoping to be playing music at the same time eventually.
i have been having the general "freeze out" issue recently with the phone where i lock it and then it doesn't come back on without a button reset, 2 times since friday
My nokia n86 iz 2 mnths old.......it was wrkin f9 till today.......my cell hanged and den auto restarted.....now even after i open up da battery and switch on da cell....it freezes on startup.......... ...........

But since I've got it back from Nokia, the phone keeps freezing up and sometimes when I receive calls, I cannot answer the call as the touch screen won't respond. Anyone knows what I can do to fix this as I can't be without my phone for another week like the last time I sent it in for servicing.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I connected my x6 via usb, the screen went blank and came back freezing on the boot-up screen (white screen with NOKIA in blue letters.) I couldn't switch off the phone with the power button so I removed the battery. When I switch on the phone now, it freezes on the boot-up screen and stays there. The only thing I can do is remove the battery.

I downloaded opera browsers from ovi store but I think that opera has not released opera for Nokia N8-00 running on Nokia Belle. View 19 Replies View RelatedMy nokia X6 will just randomly freeze on a daily basis, sometimes as often as 4 o 5 times.Everytime I have to remove the battery for it to work again.I have had the latest update installed on my phone but this makes little if any difference.
1/ If I do use the green,red, camera button trick what will this actually remove in the way of apps? I have several apps I do not wish to lose and have to find again (eg. SPB Shell, Spam killer, blacklist, thread SMS)
2/ Does anyone know of any other way to solve this problem, as again I do not wish to get a new phone as I's lose the apps I have and I am looking to change my tarrif without upgrading to get a better deal.
My N8 is just 2 weeks old. At first I thought it was me being unsure how the phone works,but now im sure its not me. It has crashed most days since I have had it. But today it has done something new. When it rings iut just goes " click,click,click. I will try answer the phone but couldnt as it had crashed... Im not impressed with it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI started using an E72 recently and installed the latest software. However there is an annoying problem with it, from time to time, i.e. once a day, it freezes. The phone won´t respond to any key (you can press and nothing happens), except the email key if keep it press it will display the screen to send an email, but that is all.
I found that the problem in clock related. The clock icon disappears from the main screen and anything after will led to a frozen phone, reboot is the only option. Sometimes going to the clock applications solves the problem but not always.
I disable the automatic sync of the clock and left it manual. But that only has halved the occurrence of the problem.
I recently bought a Nokia 5230 on T-Mobile and I'm experiencing problems with it freezing and rebooting several times a day.
I have checked to make sure I have the latest software version. I also ensure that I do not have lots of applications open at the same time. There is no particular function that makes the phone do this, ii even does it by itself when I'm not even using it.
Someone told me this was due to T-Mobile putting their own software but is there anything else that could be causing this?
I have owned my Nokia since November 21st. The first night it froze two times. Then the following days it also froze while running the app Word with Friends. I have also experienced battery issues where it lays idle and drains. I have a few more days on my trial. I don't know should I return it or just wait for the Window's fix?

It seemed to start after the latest update, which had a QT update included. Can't pin it down to any particular app either. View 19 Replies View RelatedAs above on o2 had it almost a month now, had a few freezes in the first week but were few and far between. In the last week or 2 though they have been getting progressively more and more and now in the last couple of days have also been joined by random reboots.
I haven't been able to trace them to any installed app as they happen completely randomly, it also seems to be independent of any connectivity setting. o2 will exchange the phone for me but I can't make it crash to prove to them its faulty, if indeed it is.. Have looked on the site but can't find anyone with similar problems or any indication of what it may be.
Hi.My E7 keeps freezing and needs re booting.It's been re flashed at the Nokia Care Point and has been back to Nokia themselves.I have installed every update available including Anna.Still the problem persists. The problem occurs mostly after the phone has been on standby overnight.Upon waking the screen and performing a few tasks it freezes.Also when trying to open the camera function it often jams.Furthermore it seems to be at it's worst when slightly cooler than normal (perhaps why it's worst on a morning,having been left out of my pocket overnight.

But I heard Nokia has had problems withe the lennex operating system. I was told to hold off that Nokia has a totally new phone that will be introduced mid summer 2010 with a new operating system that will put Nokia back on top over iphone ect ect.

I need a phone with a good battery (I am traveling a lot of time), I need connectivity, but also multimedia (video and music), but must of all I need a very good organizer. I can not afford a phone with so much problems and I don't have time to debug it!
So, I have to choose from these models: N900, N97, N97 mini, E72, BB 9700 Bold and IP 3GS. I know that you are not fans of BB and IP, but because I am a lot in the airplane, I need the multimedia and entertainment from 3GS and the office from BB.
I was wondering can anyone help me. i have been trying to transfer films to my n97mini using the ovi package. it seems to convert ok and transfer but when i try to play the films on my phone they all seem to freeze at the 25min to 27min mark during playback, but the sound keeps playing.

Try again later.I wait two days trying but with no result.I check the Ovistore for a new email software and realized that the Ovistore is not working it Logs in, shows all software when I choose one for download it freezes on loading.
What I did:
1- Check my connection trying WLAN, 3G .. with no result.
2- Restart my mobile ... with no result.
3- Restore to default factory ... with no result.
4- Restore to factory and delete everthing (Deleting all softwares , images....) ... with no result,I read on the internet and find weird solution for the email that I should decline the terms and condition.Finaly email working.
For the Ovistore still have same problem.I connect it to my PC which is the first time I do and update all new software.the appearance was so good and performance better than before .Unfortunatley still have same problem.i tried what Mr.Micheal suggest to download some symbian software .

I download all 6 files and some are downgrading my software but I accept hoping the problem will be solved but unfortunately same.
I have a N8 well kept, always updated, never flashed, properly soft formatted before updating to belle. I thought that belle would have been fantastic. It really is not.Consider that as I type this text from my n8, the browser has freezed twice, the phone has rebooted once. And I only have apps compatible with belle on my phone.It took 2 minutes to switch from Italian language to English!
