I just got an s6 this week and since I've had it the screen will freeze and be unresponsive about every 5-15 minutes. I can get it to work again by going to the lock screen. I'm not sure whether this is something I could fix with a reset or maybe some sort of phone setting, I suspect my phone is faulty. I have restarted it with no change.

View 9 Replies View RelatedLast week my iPhone froze and then it turned back on after 10 minutes, then the next day in school it just froze on the apple start up logo and it was getting really warm it turned off later because it ran out of battery. When I got home I charged it and it did the same all over again, and it still does it now, so I connected it to iTunes and tried to restore it but it says there's an error.

It works for 1 or 2 minutes and then it stops working for 2 or 3 minutes, this is a loop ! if I don't use for a couple of hours it will work more, about 15 minutes and then stops working !!! whats wrong with may iphone, which part is damaged ?:(( when touch screen stops working, all keys work correctly, home key & others )

After I woke up I decided to charge it..I stepped out for literally 3 to 4 minutes..and came back and quickly turned my phone on. I didn't quite notice at what percent it was at, at that point (I assumed it didn't really charge much at all because I literally just started charging it). Once I turned it on, I noticed how it was charged up to 45%? How did that happen? I
I charged it fully to 100%..but it took me around 45 mins to an hr for it to get from 45% battery to 100%...but, how did it reach 45% in charging in literally 3 minutes the way I described above?
So this just started today. I just unplugged my S6 from my charger, after charging it from heavy usage a few hours ago. I boot it up, and a minute later I notice that my battery has dropped by 2%. A few seconds pass and now the device was at 97%. I was puzzled and was wondering if my battery life was getting bad.

After that nothing will connect. Mobile data works fine. I've tried turning off phone and turning back on, as well as "forgetting" router and then reconnecting.

I log into a secure site for work and use it heavily all day long. The session timeout has been set for 4 hours so we only need to login a couple times a day. Granted if I close the browser it will log me out after a few minutes. So I could have no activity and still be logged in even if several hours pass.
On my S6 it will log me out within a few minutes of no activity. I have tried Chrome, android browser and now Firefox. Firefox is marginally better then the others.
I have a galaxy s5, set the notification noise for text to repeat every 2 minutes, its not doing it though. When I get a text it just makes the noise once, thats it .Why and how to change this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just factory reset my phone due to issues with the lollipop udate, and the factory reset resolved them. The other day I went to unlock the phone, and the numbers on the unlock screen were all little white squares, weird I thought, so I reset the phone. It went to restart, got to the galaxy s5 screen and restarted again and again never getting past the gs5 screen. Tried to boot it into recovery, but same issue. I ended up just leaving it rebooting, and about 20 mins later it finally came on. 2 days ago the squares showed up again so I rebooted, and same thing.

The files are mostly MKV videos files, ranging from 1GB to 3GB in size.
On my old S5, I usually take the MicroSD card out and copy the files using a USB 3.0 card reader connected to my computer's USB 3.0 port. Or I just connect the S5 to my computer using the included USB 3.0 cable. Both methods are very speedy.
With the S6, I don't know, it seems to take about 3 times as long to copy the same files. I thought the internal memory was supposed to super fast... or is the USB 2.0 connector the bottleneck? or is there something else that I can do to speed things up?
I never had to worry about data plan minutes (was grandfathered in the Verizon unlimited data plan until recently) but with the new SMS app on the S6 if I use a voice recording to send an SMS message does it counts towards my data plan usage or is it still considered a plain old text message? Is there a calculation to determine how much data is used per second of audio?
Never thought about this as well, but what about MMS messages with pics or video?
My screen Timeout is set to 3 minutes but is acting like it is set to 15 seconds?

Last night, the power in my neighborhood went out, so I sent my S6's built-in alarm clock to 7:00AM.
When it went off at 7:00AM, I didn't touch the phone and the alarm stopped about 50 seconds later.
Seems very short to me. I tried it several more times and each time the alarm went off in under 1 minute.
Isn't that barely enough time to wake up a deep sleeper?
i was wondering if this is normal, i had my phone for like 3 weeks now since thanksgiving,after 10 minutes of use the top part of the screen where you listen to gets very warm and the back part where the camera does too, i was wondering how could i fix this and is my phone defected? i haven't tried any longer because i don't want my phone to fry up

- I tried to perform a factory reset + wipe cache partition;
- Tried to use it in safe mode - still had issues;
- It is even sometimes freezing on boot menu (power+vol_up+home)
I had stock 5.1.1 on it, but if I remember correctly, then it was happening also before 5.1.1, but not 100% what version I had. About 3 weeks ago I had same issue, but then after factory reset it was gone for 2 weeks and last friday again faced with this issue.
My s6 is continuously freezing and restarting. I have just factory reset it,but issue is still on.

It will not type and will stay on the screen (even on home screen etc) until the device is locked and unlocked and sometimes it has to be restarted. I am using Google keyboard and dad is Swiftkey so its unlikely to be the actual keyboard app.

After searching the Web, I did everything recommended--numerous soft resets, a couple of hard resets, consulted Samsung's technical chat room, took the phone to Samsung's local kiosk for a forced software update--nothing worked and the end result was that Samsung said it was a hardware problem and that I needed to send the phone in to Samsung for a look at the hardware. Before doing that, I looked at the system and saw that it did not show any storage information for the SD card. I replaced the SD card and it fixed the problem--the phone is operating just fine. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation if somewhere along the line someone had thought to look at the SD card -- apparently a bad SD card can cause system instability on the S5.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past three weeks my S5 has been flickering and the screen will freeze up. When I try to text the screen shakes up and down and I can't type the letters. When I'm on wifi it "seems" to work better, but when I'm not on wifi it's definitely much worse. Any screen that I go into it does this and it's getting worse. Sometimes it will freeze and I just have to leave it for a few minutes before I can do anything on it.

My interface and messaging also feels very laggy at times where I pretty much have to wait for it to respond. I had the S view case on when it was freezing so I've removed that but it didn't work. Do you think i should just return this back to AT&T to try and get this replaced?

i bought the phone new, i had rooted it and put a custom rom on. the custom rom ran fine for months so i doubt that is was a dodgy rom. then one day i just started getting these problems. so i took off the rooted rom, and when the problem was still there i unrooted (if that is the term) and rebooted to factory settings. i still have the problem though.
ok so ive rooted my phone and everything is working fine but i go to freeze and app and my phone gets stuck freezing the app. and i have to hard close titanium. but when i go back into it the app is frozen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedG920f came to me that cannot startup. I powered on but after 10 seconds it freezed. if you leave longer powered of it can works maybe to one minute and freezed again. I tried 4 different flashes but same. I tried to hard reset but in freezed on android figure. I flash unikernel so I could enter on recovery meny made hard reset and wipe cache but still same situation. The phone is brand new and costumer said that he had this problem from begining after thid day of work and he didnt bought with warranty.

I was running on Android 5.0.2, then recently upgraded to 5.1.1 but no improvements so far. Did a factory reset a couple of times, booted in safe mode, but the problem keeps on appearing.
Periodically I use Google Voice on the stock keyboard to text. However I noticed when I try to exit Google Voice by clicking the "X" the application freezes and I can't exit until it times out.
