I'm having troubles with my WiFi connection. After connecting it works for about 15 minutes then while browsing the net the bar will stop and the page won't load. After that nothing will connect. Mobile data works fine. I've tried turning off phone and turning back on, as well as "forgetting" router and then reconnecting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought the Samsung S2 GT-I9100 a couple of days ago for my birthday. Everything is working perfectly, including 3G internet. However, there is a problem with my WIFI. It connects to the network, but nothing loads on the internet browser, or on any other app that uses the internet. I've tried a few different networks and have had the same problem. I'm running 4.0.3.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Galaxy S II for 5 months now and have always gotten it connected to my home's wifi. Now for some reason it's not connecting. My wifi is up and running fine (connected on my PC as I type this), the password is set fine for the Galaxy, but instead of connecting, Settings only says "Saved, secured with WPA/WPA2" after clicking "Connect". Signal strength is noted as "Excellent". I've tried re-entering the password several times, but the same results every time.

The only problem I've encountered in the three days I've had it is that it won't connect via wifi to my home computer (a Mac). With my Mac's 'Airport' and 'Internet Sharing' turned on, my boyfriend can connect to wifi from the Mac to his iPhone but my S2 refuses to connect. Once I turn on wifi on the S2, under 'Wi-Fi networks' it brings up my computer and my neighbours' wifi networks. I click on my computer's name, type in the password, but then it just cycles from 'Scanning...', 'Connecting..' to 'Disconnected'. I've spent hours trawling Google for a solution. Under the 'Advanced' wifi settings I selected 'Use static IP' (but I'm not convinced I put in the right numbers under 'IP address', 'Gateway', 'Netmask' and 'DNS'). I don't know if it makes a difference but in System Preferences > Network > Airport, it says 'Airport has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet'. But my computer is clearly visible on the wifi network because my boyfriend could connect wifi from my computer to his iPhone.

Very frustrating as drains battery.
I do not want to have it forget networks, as then have to key in long security key each time.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s5, and recently updated to Lollipop. Had all the major problems reported, so I did a system restore which fixed a few of them. My most pressing concern, however, is that I can no longer connect to my work WIFI. I had no problems connecting prior to the update. The WIFI is set up where you connect, and then a webpage should open up for you to login to the system. My browser opens, but will not load a page. The progress bar gets stuck on one spot.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a new android user. The problem I'm having is that when my wifi drops out or if I come home the Internet on my phone does not switch back from mobile data to wifi. I'm with bigpond and I have put the password into my phone and I don't need to put the password in each time but when I go to wifi settings it says sign in required and I press connect and the wifi turns on. As soon as I come home or the Internet drops out it switched back to 3G and doesn't connect back to wifi unless I do what I mentioned above.
The advanced setting on the wifi are
Proxy-none
Ip settings DHCP
Signal strength- very strong
Security wpa2 psk
I also have the smart network switch toggled to off. I have reset my telstra router.
I've wasted a lot of my mobile data this week before I realised that when I left the house or the net dropped out my phone was staying on 3G and not switching back to wifi the way my iPhone and every other phone I've owned did.
Just a question regarding the wifi. It works fine but when I am at my brothers house and using his wifi it will only connect to the Internet for a few pages or communications via whatsapp etc., then I have to turn off and on the wifi to go again. He had the same problem with his phone which was also a x10 but he has no problem since he got the new Arc. His wifes iphone also works fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife recently bought the Galaxy S5 on Verizon and when anyone sends her a MMS while on wifi it will show that she received it but a download button shows instead of the picture. When she clicks on the button it gives a status bar and then proceeds to say the phone needs to be on data. The same type of message happens when trying to send an MMS.
I have the S4 on the same network and I can do all of this on wifi without any issues.
I recently purchased a HTC one (4 days ago) and already exchanged the phone once do to a defect in the wifi & now I'm about to change the phone again due to the same issue.
The phone will connect to the internet via wifi, but only work for 5 minutes, then nothing. The phone shows that a wifi signal is still available & that it is connected, but if you try to surf the net or refesh emails/facebook/weather, nothing. A message then appears on the phone stating connection timeout and you have to turn wifi off, then on again, for another 5 mins connection.
So far I've tried..................
1.Different routers, at home/mobile broadband/work/friends - same issue.
2. Contacting HTC and using 'safe mode' whilst they talked to me - same issue.
3. Factory reset - same issue.
4. New phone, changed at a recognised shop - same issue.
Luckily enough I'm within my 7 day phone exchange with my phone provider, so the things going back & exchanging for a different brand...............
On a different note, my wife also got a new phone at the same time, HTC One Mini & this is working ideal.
I originally returned the atrix because it would drop the wifi connection every few minutes eventhough I was sitting next to my router. My iphone, ipad and home computers did not exhibit this behavior. I was thinking of trying the phone again after the new maintenance updates but it looks like this is still an issue. I wanted to bring this to the attention of Motorola. The following thread at XDA shows that many people are having this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNo matter what I do the WiFi on my Samsung Galaxy S6 does not work with certain apps and processes. It seems to be connected with Google- such as, pictures on the Play Store will not load, YouTube videos constantly are loading but never play and certain games think I am not connected to the internet at all. Things like web browsing and google search work fine however, but streaming is incredibly slow. This ONLY happens with my AT&T WiFi at home- WiFi in other locations works just fine. My WiFi signal is full strength at home. I constantly have to use my data services (T-Mobile) and everything works great then.
Here is what I already tried:
1. Changing my DNS settings to Google Server
2. Clear app data and caches
3. Uninstalling and reinstalling the apps
4. Complete factory reset of the device (and lost all my games from a corrupt backup file, with nothing working still)
When I was resetting my device, I knew the WiFi still wasn't working because when it tried to connect to my google account only and not my Samsung account (again- google seems to be where the problem happens) it was stuck at "getting info". But when I switched to data it worked.
There are certain apps (snapchat, Google play store) on my phone that will only work when mobile data is on or WiFi with airplane mode on. I would like to be able to use my WiFi at home without having to turn airplane mode on.

FYI, my connection to wifi is fully correct and is in coverage area and normally signal strength is excellent, it mean i don't have any problem to connect to wifi in all places same as home, office or any other places. but i'm wonder that why i can't use any, yes any application even simple factory pre-installed applications same as google search when wifi is active but if i turn off my wifi and using packet data, all, yes all of applications working properly. Is it possible for certain wifi networks to affect push notifications? For example, my notifications from USAToday come through on my home wifi network, but not on my work wifi network. However, the notifications came through on both networks just fine using my GS4.

My laptop and other devices that connect to the WIFI are getting on the internet just fine. This problem just started this morning. I re-booted my router at home but that did not work. I eliminated my home network and then re-connected to it, but that did not work.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI bought my brand new Motorola Atrix 2, a week back in India and am facing a peculiar problem with the phone. I am on Vodafone network and have a 3G plan with them, but my phone does not connect to the 3G network at all.
After reading several posts in the forum, I found out that it was a software problem with the phone and I had to install a 3rd party software from the Google Play site called "Network" to solve the problem.I also upgraded my software to ICS and that happened smoothly but my wifi is also not stable and keeps disconnecting every 3 to 4 minutes? Is there anyone who can help me with this as well.
For the past few days my blackberry messenger has been going in and out of working properly. Sometimes I will send a message and it will work fine then the next minute it won't work at all. Other times it will send a message but will only have a check mark and no letter "D" saying it was delivered, yet people are still getting my messages at times. Other times it is just down for one contact but their bbm works with everyone else. It is very frustrating to just have it stop working every 5 minutes.
