I have been experiencing random shut off from my samsung galaxy s2 g version i9100G model. For your information, i did not root or used any custom rom. And my phone is on 2.3.6 android version.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am getting the most ridiculous battery life of any phone ever, I can't work out if that's because I have some dodgy app on there which insists on checking my Twitter every 60 seconds (The culprit on my old HTC Hero) or if I can't put this gorgeous piece of technology down.When I do get on with my actual work however, the shining slab of powerful bliss sitting between my keyboard and PC screen, I notice the screen wakes up every so often for no reason what so ever.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNew to the forums and looking for some opinions regarding my SGS2. recently updated to the latest O2 firmware (2.3.5) and ever since my phone has been very unstable. It reboots at random (has done so at least twice today just sitting on my desk doing nothing!) and I also have issues when plugged in via usb (loses connection whilst copying music over, can't expand storage, etc). Just wondering if anybody else has had similar issues with O2 Firmware, or if that's just a coincidence and I actually have a faulty handset??

It's gotta come from the web browser I would think, but why would files save automatically, without me ever noticing anything? it just suddently happend, i plugged it into the computer (right after a norton security check) and suddently my phone just dies. and now it won't stop turning on and off constantly every 3minutes, i know it sound wierd but it is true. I have changed batteryes before(sort off the same problem) at a different time off the year. it was during winter last time i got these issues.

I'm having problem with my Samsung Galaxy S II (GT- I9100). The increase volume button is not working properly. Furthermore, when open any random software i.e games, the volume/sound will be set maximum automatically and can't turn down even pressing the decrease volume button. Even if i set the volume to silent first before run a game, the volume will automatically set to maximum after i run the game. If i want to increase volume i had to increase it at setting menu. This also effect when i want to zoom in to take a pic.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAs a former 3GS user, I am missing what appear to be 2 functions unavailable on the SII:
1 - the ability to select "shuffle" for random music play; and2 - nusic settings (e.g. bass) are not retained, and have to be re-selected each time I start the music player again.Is this just me not knowing where to look, or are those functions really not available on the SII?
I'm hoping someone can give me some tips. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant through Bell 2 days ago. Since then it froze up once, twice it shut down on me. I put the phone down, went to use it and the screen was blacked out, nothing worked. I ended up taking the battery out and re-installing to turn the phone back on.Since I've only had it two days I'm a little concerned, it's also my first smart phone so I'm not sure if this type of thing is common.

The display dims after 12 seconds and shuts off 3 seconds later.
I've turned off power saving features and even changed the time out to 10 minutes and no luck.
I tried turning on smart stay, but that got me to about 30 seconds and no farther.
So the alarm on my S5 shuts itself off after 1 minute.. how the heck do I keep it running so I have to actually get it up and turn it off?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI use Podkicker and have never had an issue with past phones. I download casts. I don't stream them. Everything usually works fine. However, I have noticed that when wifi is toggled off, I get on and off crackling through the speaker. Strangely, when I turn the screen on it plays clearly but as soon as the screen shuts off it crackles again. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling to no avail. Should clearing the partition have any effect or is this possibly a hardware issue? Maybe the speaker is not getting enough power unless the screen or wifi is turned on? This is really annoying, especially while driving when I don't want my wifi scanning and I don't want to keep powering on the screen. I would hate to have to send the phone in for this. I would also hate to try a factory reset.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNever noticed this before so im not sure if its normal, but noticed today when i for example shut off a video or i activate the speaker with any other sound, the speaker stays on for 1-2 secs making sort of a hissing sound followed by a small click. Its not a very loud hissing sound. Just wanna make sure its normal and not a faulty speaker.

I was using "Swype" and thought it was a problem with that, but after switching keyboards and re-installing them, I realized it's a universal issue. This especially happens in Whatsapp, but I spend 95% of typing time there, so I can't say fairly.
Since the start that I own my Galaxy S6 I'm having issues with the phone. The biggest issue is that when I use my phone it will freeze for 1/2 seconds and then it does a soft reboot.
All my apps/data stays open but I have to wait for like 1 minute before I can start working again.
The weird thing is that sometimes it happens like 4 times in half an hour but sometimes it doesn't reboot for more then a month. Then you think 'finally it doesn't happen anymore' and then from outta nowhere it reboots itself, it's really frustrating.
I've already factory reset my phone and wiping my cache partition but it won't work.
My phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
So randomly when I woke up this morning, I picked up my s6 edge and a number of my contacts were flat out gone. I opened up my gmail account that I have my contacts saved too and they were all gone from there as well. Along with that, in my messages it used to link a few pictures to the names of people I was texting, but now all the pictures are gone, even of the contacts I didn't lose. I tried resyncing and everything but that doesnt work because these contacts seem to have disappeared completely from gmail.
All of my edge contacts disappeared too. And again, I literally did nothing, this just happened when I checked my phone this morning.
I get a random notification "skyline" after my phone was updated yesterday, It happens 4 or 5 times a day. Tried to identify by a notification logger but does not show anything, the phone just pings with no led flash... I heard its a yahoo app but I do not have yahoo account or on my phone.
Phone is UK model, unlocked on EE carrier from carphone warehouse. Android Central App (S6 White 64gb)
Today I have been getting ads popping up randomly. I open fb, an ad will pop up. I open Instagram an ad pops up.. Hasn't happened before. I've ran lookout and malware bytes and everything shows clean.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been having this annoyance where the phone would play a sound (it is like the sound the lockscreen makes when you set it to swipe to unlock). I hear the sound about every hour or so, but I am trying my best to figure out how to remove it.
So far I haven't did anything to stop this from happening, I'm looking for some answers to hopefully get rid of this.... I keep thinking that it is a notification, but I don't see one of them.
S5 call the person you are texting? I can sometimes text someone and not hit the call button. Before I know it I am calling that person.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy device is GS6, few days ago received OTA update. Updated phone like usual and all went fine. Few days later started noticing that device randomly restarting. Today it happened 4 or 5 times so far, mainly when I want to unlock screen, after swipe everything freezes and device restarts.
Also when I left phone on charge, come back to it, unplugged charger and phone is dead, won't start won't respond to anything. After pressing volume key power and home button, I managed to restart it.
Most of the time when i unlock my S6 a random app randomly opens. I am definitely not accidentally tapping a app as some of the apps that are opening are not on my home page. I am running Nova Prime launcher?
