Samsung Galaxy S II :: Volume Set To Maximum Automatically When Run A Random Software
Jul 12, 2012
I'm having problem with my Samsung Galaxy S II (GT- I9100). The increase volume button is not working properly. Furthermore, when open any random software i.e games, the volume/sound will be set maximum automatically and can't turn down even pressing the decrease volume button. Even if i set the volume to silent first before run a game, the volume will automatically set to maximum after i run the game. If i want to increase volume i had to increase it at setting menu. This also effect when i want to zoom in to take a pic.
New phone last week on UK o2. Since day one phone randomly reboots, sometimes when just lying on the desk in Lock Mode. other then doing a factory restore, which shouldn't be required on a 5 day old phone.
I am getting the most ridiculous battery life of any phone ever, I can't work out if that's because I have some dodgy app on there which insists on checking my Twitter every 60 seconds (The culprit on my old HTC Hero) or if I can't put this gorgeous piece of technology down. When I do get on with my actual work however, the shining slab of powerful bliss sitting between my keyboard and PC screen, I notice the screen wakes up every so often for no reason what so ever.
New to the forums and looking for some opinions regarding my SGS2. recently updated to the latest O2 firmware (2.3.5) and ever since my phone has been very unstable. It reboots at random (has done so at least twice today just sitting on my desk doing nothing!) and I also have issues when plugged in via usb (loses connection whilst copying music over, can't expand storage, etc). Just wondering if anybody else has had similar issues with O2 Firmware, or if that's just a coincidence and I actually have a faulty handset??
I have been experiencing random shut off from my samsung galaxy s2 g version i9100G model. For your information, i did not root or used any custom rom. And my phone is on 2.3.6 android version.
I have a Curve 8520 and the volume is stuck on maximum. I have tried many of the obvious things:
Media-Options but audio boost is off and I don't see any other option that would help. The volume keys on the side of the phone do not work anymore for some reason. I even cut the material with a scalpel to see if pressing the actual sensor would allow me to reduce volume. Needless to say it didn't.
I have tried using the keyboard on the phone and the volume control key (also a $ sign) but it didn't help either.
I open my gallery, and find strange commercials and such saved to my video files. It's gotta come from the web browser I would think, but why would files save automatically, without me ever noticing anything? Also, there's a problem with this website... every time I try to post a thread, I hit Submit and get taken to a blank screen with this URL:[URL]It drives me up a wall, because I have to post on here using Internet Explorer.
Why is it that the volume sound of my Nokia N9 is not audible(sounds very low even when it shows is at maximum). I need to turn the volume up so I can hear my calls and alarm.
Recently I've noticed I'll be in the middle of the call with the in call volume on max (which is very much needed on this phone...I don't have hearing problems ). Then every now and then the volume drops to 1/3 of maximum and I have to hold the volume up to bring it back to max.
(I've only seen references to ringing volume changing erratically, not in call volume) . My phone is rooted, but with stock ROM.
While doing a run this morning, the volume would arbitrarily increase to maximum on its own. Nothing was pressing on the volume buttons. I have the latest update.
I got my 5230 today. And when I put music on it, and played the song, it plays extremely soft, even if the volume is on its loudest. There's this button on the headset, when I press it, it plays louder, but only on the left side?? I tried putting in another set of headphones, but the problem remains.
I am noticing some crackling in my top speaker when at maximum volume. (or even a couple clicks below) It only happens when I play certain things. Audio books seem to do it the most. Turning off the "Audio effects" option in settings seems to mitigate the problem, but doesn't make it go away entirely. I also notice some distortion at full volumes...
My other issue is when i turn the device to landscape and back while playing music or youtube the sound goes out for a second each time it moves from straight to landscape. Is this normal or should I do a warranty exchange?
My bluetooth devices work fine with my previous phone (Sanyo SCP-3810). Main device is LG HFB-500 speakerphone. But the volume is much too low with my Motorola Triumph. Can barely hear anything at max volume. Seems to be a common problem for Android devices. How about a fix Moto?
I updated my lumia to the latest firmware. The volume level when the phone rings for the first 1-2 seconds jumps to max. Then a pauses and then comes down to what was set. Why is that?
I cannot here voicemail no matter what I do. Phone volume is at max, I tried to use the speakerphone etc. There is a very faint recording volume that you can hear if it is absolutely quite and you listed to it 2-3 times. Phone is at the latest update. Is there any way to adjust the volume?
Sometimes (i.e. very often) when I am on a phone call on the iphone 6, and using headphones, the volume goes to maximum and stays there. Pressing the decrease volume button shows the graphic going down and the volume briefly goes down, but then immediately ramps upto maximum volume again. Taking out the headphones and just holding the phone to my hear, enables me to get normal volume again during the call.Â
I think this is nearly exclusively a problem with Headphones + phone calls. Does I need to replace the earphones or the phone?Â
i had bought sgs 2 about 3 weeks ago..it worked very nice but after 2 week it start automatically shut down at least thrice a day. i also went to samsung costumer center they format my OS and reinstall it. but does effect much now it automatically shut down twice a day what should i do is it a software or hardware problem.
My phone wont stay off, i turn it off but it reboots automatically, also the car mode keeps activating randomly/randomly thinks it is charging and connected to a pc.
I updated it to the latest firmware via kies as well. Edit: Phone is not rooted and alarm clock plus is also another app that randomly starts.
I am using a Galaxy SII since two weeks. It is an amazing cell phone. I had absolutely no issues with the phone until yesterday. But yesterday night i turned the phone off and then when I turned it back on, I am facing a problem that is really annoying me. I am using widget locker for locking and unlocking purpose of the phone. When I lock my phone, after about 5-6 mins, I see the display of the phone automatically waking up although I did not touch any of the keys. For about 1 min, the display will remain awake and then fall asleep automatically. This cycle starts at around 3AM and stops after 2-3 hours.
I don't know why occasionally my phone is going to be in silent mode. It happen 3 to 5 times each day. Also notification sound is playing times a day when the phone is in standby!
I've tried to increase the volume by going into the service code menu and replacing max volume setting to 100 but still it doesn't seem loud enough. Is there an app available which will increase the earpiece
I've found that when i'm making a call from my car using Bluetooth the sound is very distorted, and the person receiving the call is having problems hearing the conversation clearly, but i can hear them with no problem. My question is - how can i change the settings on my S2 to resolve this.
My phone is doing these 4 things at random... Generally in clusters then it won't do it again for a few hours. 1. Freezes on dimmed lock screen2. Enters driving mode3. Enters USB mode4. Enters charge modeHaven't updated firmwareusing Go launcher
My previous phone was HTC Wildfire S (stock Android 2.3.3) and I was able to receive and send MMS with data connection turned off. Simply, when I send MMS phone automatically turn on data connection. Same, when somebody send MMS to me, Wildfire S automatically turn on data connection and retrieve MMS. Now I am using Samsung Galaxy S2. I have to keep data connection always on if I want to send and receive MMS. I don't want data connection to be always on because I haven't flat data plan. I tried Quick Setting app. It change APN for internet and keeps data connection always on (do not modify MMS settings). At this way I can use MMS normally, but my battery drain for just 8 hours!
my friend has recently brought a Samsung galaxy s2 and pressed something that now whenever he receives a call it automatically goes to loud speaker..I have checked and can't see any settings different to my sgs2..obv I haven't looked hard enough
My beloved Galaxy S2 is currently with T-mobile for assessment as a result of a broken screen (under the glass) and the view of the shop was that as it was a broken screen it was automatically my fault.I am at a loss as to how they can know this without even seeing the phone. Hence why I was unprepared to pre-authorise a repair without knowing the cost first.I have no issue with paying if it is my fault (like I did when I put a phone through the washing machine or when I dropped one on a sharp stone and shattered the screen or when I left one on the car roof and drove off only to see it bounce in the rear view mirror!) but this time it was very different as the screen went black as if power had gone and it needed to be switched back on - i initially thought it was a power fault. The next day I discovered a crack in the screen.
