New phone last week on UK o2. Since day one phone randomly reboots, sometimes when just lying on the desk in Lock Mode. other then doing a factory restore, which shouldn't be required on a 5 day old phone.
View 4 RepliesMy device is GS6, few days ago received OTA update. Updated phone like usual and all went fine. Few days later started noticing that device randomly restarting. Today it happened 4 or 5 times so far, mainly when I want to unlock screen, after swipe everything freezes and device restarts.
Also when I left phone on charge, come back to it, unplugged charger and phone is dead, won't start won't respond to anything. After pressing volume key power and home button, I managed to restart it.
For the past a month my phone has been heating up more than usual. No overheating warning or random restarts. I played hearthstone and other graphic intensive games and my cpu temp spikes up to 75c then goes back to 60c+ (using Cpu Temperature Pure). I started using the app when I felt that the device is getting hot. I am a noob at all of this and I want to know is the app giving me the right numbers? Any other way that I can check if my device is having hardware problems?

Yesterday was worse because I was texting someone and.. during that 20 minutes, it restarted itself 4 times! I did some experimenting these past few weeks, I switched my phone to safe mode for a day or so, and the problem never occured.. not even once! Back to the problem, I have a feeling it might be some of the apps I have (I dont have that much apps), I got rid all of my game apps but problem is still occuring.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am getting the most ridiculous battery life of any phone ever, I can't work out if that's because I have some dodgy app on there which insists on checking my Twitter every 60 seconds (The culprit on my old HTC Hero) or if I can't put this gorgeous piece of technology down.When I do get on with my actual work however, the shining slab of powerful bliss sitting between my keyboard and PC screen, I notice the screen wakes up every so often for no reason what so ever.

It reboots at random (has done so at least twice today just sitting on my desk doing nothing!) and I also have issues when plugged in via usb (loses connection whilst copying music over, can't expand storage, etc). Just wondering if anybody else has had similar issues with O2 Firmware, or if that's just a coincidence and I actually have a faulty handset??

View 7 Replies View RelatedYes, I have a Blackberry Pearl 8120 that I got used for fifty dollars after my old Blackberry Pearl 8100 died. Anyway, to make a long story short it randomly resets itself. The screen goes black, and the LED in the right-hand corner goes red...and then it turns on a few seconds later with a white screen and an hourglass in the center. After a minute or two, it reboots the homescreen and operating system as if nothing happened.
This happens at random intervals, and I do not know what is causing it. Sometimes it will happen several times in a row and other times it will not happen for several hours. It can happen at any time whether you are in the middle of a phone call or if you simply have it on a table and you are not even touching it.
I have done the following steps to determine the problem:
1. I have removed the media card to determine if that was the problem - No change
2. I have removed the SIM card to determine if that was the problem - No change
3. I have reinstalled the operating system - No change
4. I have tried clearing the message log - No change
5. I have made sure that the battery was not loose - No change
6. I have switched batteries - No change
7. I have tried wiping the memory - No change
The only apps I have on it are the original ones that it came with. I do not know what else it could be as I have done all that my carrier suggested. I would rather not have to get a new phone as I like this phone and I do not need all of the extra stuff on it that newer models have.
I'm having problem with my Samsung Galaxy S II (GT- I9100). The increase volume button is not working properly. Furthermore, when open any random software i.e games, the volume/sound will be set maximum automatically and can't turn down even pressing the decrease volume button. Even if i set the volume to silent first before run a game, the volume will automatically set to maximum after i run the game. If i want to increase volume i had to increase it at setting menu. This also effect when i want to zoom in to take a pic.

I pick up the phone and often see the enter pin screen. I used the SRTool, had the phone sent to a Nokia care center but to no avail.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIf I don't touch the phone ie make calls txt etc then it will stay on until the battery dies. if I pick it up and use it in anyway after a few minutes it will shut down(red light) and try to restart. and I mean try because it goes into a restart loop but only the timer dial shows up for a second or two and then red light light again. Even if I pull the battery and reinstall it still does not boot. However if I install a different battery(spare) the phone will completely startup. I have tried upgrading the os downgrading the os, unistalling all third party apps nothing helps. PS auto on/off is disabled. And why does putting a different battery in it change anything?
View 1 Replies View Relatedrandom restarts - the first month i had my electrify, it would only restart itself once a week or so. now within the last couple of weeks its jumped up to around 5 times a day. i kept track of variables as the restarts happened, and it does it at any battery level and during anything im doing, such as text, pandora, Internet, in-call. my first guess is that is in app that constantly runs in the background, and i was wondering if any more experianced users could tell me where and what to look for.

1 - the ability to select "shuffle" for random music play; and2 - nusic settings (e.g. bass) are not retained, and have to be re-selected each time I start the music player again.Is this just me not knowing where to look, or are those functions really not available on the SII?
I rooted my s5 then unrooted again but i couldnt update it cuz it shows, cannot update and i couldbt even update it from kies and it switches.

I've tried everything , reseting/erasing , flashing firmware with odin , flashing and updating firmware with KIES . It still same , restarts before or on activation screen and can't past it .
It's turned on only for minute or less and then restarts , bu when it's in download mode I can flash firmware without any restarts or so... (more then hour) ....
Since the start that I own my Galaxy S6 I'm having issues with the phone. The biggest issue is that when I use my phone it will freeze for 1/2 seconds and then it does a soft reboot.
All my apps/data stays open but I have to wait for like 1 minute before I can start working again.
The weird thing is that sometimes it happens like 4 times in half an hour but sometimes it doesn't reboot for more then a month. Then you think 'finally it doesn't happen anymore' and then from outta nowhere it reboots itself, it's really frustrating.
I've already factory reset my phone and wiping my cache partition but it won't work.
Since I've updated my S5 a month ago (now Android version 5.0) it keeps restarting unexpectantly. At first I thought these restarts were random but 'I've noticed it happens only when my connection to my network provider is lost (f.i. if I step into an elevator). When my network connection is good I've not noticed any problems.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
So randomly when I woke up this morning, I picked up my s6 edge and a number of my contacts were flat out gone. I opened up my gmail account that I have my contacts saved too and they were all gone from there as well. Along with that, in my messages it used to link a few pictures to the names of people I was texting, but now all the pictures are gone, even of the contacts I didn't lose. I tried resyncing and everything but that doesnt work because these contacts seem to have disappeared completely from gmail.
All of my edge contacts disappeared too. And again, I literally did nothing, this just happened when I checked my phone this morning.
I get a random notification "skyline" after my phone was updated yesterday, It happens 4 or 5 times a day. Tried to identify by a notification logger but does not show anything, the phone just pings with no led flash... I heard its a yahoo app but I do not have yahoo account or on my phone.
Phone is UK model, unlocked on EE carrier from carphone warehouse. Android Central App (S6 White 64gb)
Today I have been getting ads popping up randomly. I open fb, an ad will pop up. I open Instagram an ad pops up.. Hasn't happened before. I've ran lookout and malware bytes and everything shows clean.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI get a random beep and/or random screen ons in the middle of the night. What would cause it, because there is no consistency. The beep sound isn't any of my notification sounds either. It hasn't happened every night (or at least I haven't woken up to it).
Could my charger be affecting it? (My old phone never did it on this charger, but who knows. I'm also waiting for my QI charger to show up and replace my normal charger)....
I do charge my phone at night. Is there a setting that beeps when the battery is charged? Is there something that would tell the screen to turn on for any reason? I'm pretty sure it isn't any apps, since I've only had the phone for a week and haven't loaded very many.
I've recently started using the Google now launcher and for some reason whenever I unlock my phone a random app will open on its own. It's always an app that's on the screen. For example if I have a screen with only Google play and camera icons on it, when I unlock the screen via fingerprint, one of those 2 apps will open up. It doesn't open the icons in my dock, just the ones in the screen. I have already cleared app cache and system cache (recovery mode).
