I just did the last firmware update on my X3-02, it seemed to have gone fine but I'm unable the restore the parameters I previously saved. It starts alright, but stops in the middle of the process claiming it has connection problems, and advising that I restart my device and try again (which I did of course). Is it a known problem? Is there a way to restore my content?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's funny, I've read a bunch of pages on restoring firmware that Apple is no longer signing. Some of them go on and on like theres no tomorrow, with steps and procedures. Some recommend downloading tinyumbrela and going through that whole process. All of them recommended putting your phone in DFU mode before proceeding.I decided to put a fresh copy of 4.0.1 on my phone and re jailbreak because my phone had slowed down due to trying out tons of random stuff. So when I went to restore I thought I was in for some work.After really reading some of these pages, I thought "why the hell would you have to go through all this trouble? As long as iTunes thinks it got its signature, it should work as normal". Well I was right. All I did was add that one line to the hosts file, using notepad. I then opened iTunes, held shift, clicked restore, clicked the 4.0.1 firmware and...that was it. iTunes verified the software, installed it, re-synced, and boom done. No DFU mode, no downloading my SHSH's, no kicking out of recovery mode. Just let iTunes do it's thing.
View 24 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine has a factory unlocked 3GS with 3.1.3 firmware and, I'm assuming, the latest baseband. Reading this iClarified tutorial would suggest that it is possible to jailbreak his phone with a Mac but he doesn't have one. So my question is, if I make a custom ISPW for him using my Mac, can he then restore his phone using Windows and this custom firmware. And if so, does he need to use DFU mode or can he simply click on the custom file and restore? I should add that it isn't feasible for me to do the job for him as he lives many miles away and I'll be sending him the custom firmware on a CD by mail.

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust purchased an iPhone 5s today. After I had synced my new phone, I noticed that my old iPhone did not save my calendar or contacts from my old phone to iCloud. So, I backed it up and it said iCloud backed up at 9:22pm (my old phone). I called tech support and she said the information was saved in iCloud. However, when I try to sync the new phone in iTunes there is no calendar and my old data from April of 2013 (this is when the last back up was) is downloading to the new phone! I went to the iCloud website and low and behold the old info is still there??? I am so confused and ****** because now I guess I have to manually enter all my calendar events (except for birthdays) on the new phone??

Recently I jailbreak using pwnage then blackra1n/blacksn0w to unlock my iphone 3gs (3.1.2 - 05.11.07). So I decide to get one for my girlfriend same spec (3.1.2 - 05.11.07) and when I did the same process, itune gives the 1600 error during custom firmware restore. I later discovered it had a newer bootrom on this one and Untethered jailbreak (pwnage) wasn’t supported.
The iphone is currently stuck in DFU mode and unable to enter recovery mode and gives the 1600 error upon restore, I tried using new cable and switched from Mac to PC for the restore but none worked. With iREB not supporting 3gs. I am out of ideas anyone can help to restore the iphone?
I should have just used blackra1n (tethered) jailbreak and unlock it .I guess I can normal restore it to 3.1.3 and have a itouch instead if worst come to worst.In addition I have a question about blackra1n (tethered) jailbreak/unlock, I was under the assumption if I powered off I will loss the unlock, but that’s not the case on another iphone?
I was syncing photos today and my computer crashed. I didn't lose any photos, however it has left my iPhone 4 with a message "Restoring 84 of 90" on the main photo album screen. (See attached image below.) I have done everything short of doing a restore on the phone to try to get rid of it (resyncing, etc) Is that my only option, if that will even work? Or is there something else I can try?

I have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.

I had deleted my Apple ID and created one same Apple ID again. After i restored my iphone to factory setting, it stuck at the activation screen, even if i filled in the correct Apple ID and password, it shows "cannot use this Apple ID to unock this phone'.

At the command fastboot flash system C:anglerimagessystem.img and it has sat here for over an hour and a half now with the output of writing 'system'. If I'm not mistaken, my phone is basically bricked at this point, as all I have written to the phone right now is recovery and bootloader really, and since I flashed the stock bootloader that means it is relocked.
Is there any way I can unlock it from here and then flash TWRP again, and then restore one of my backups of my 6P to at least get it working again?
I'm still stuck with the stock firmware, ie 021.024... nothing shows up either on the phone or via NSU.Am I alone in this situation?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm an E72 user and I'm not happy with the phone. I'm using the 031.023 FW. I'm using Google Mail, Nimbuzz and Ovi Contacts mainly. I also have google search installed and running in background. I used to have MfE but removed that account because I thought it is the problem that slows the phone however I'm getting random stalls. If I have 2-3 programs open at the same time, theres a very high chance of phone stalling for 1-2 mins. I can get back to homescreen but I cant access the applications running. When I type a number, phone lags a lot. I have like 450 contacts but It was a lot faster when I was using a WinMo phone previously. Do u have such issues ? I did a hard reset before installing the firmware and all software installs are on the memory card. Any options?
View 4 Replies View RelatedLike others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
Got my bold 9700 a month ago and finally decided to update to the latest firmware using the desktop manager.
Everything was going all fine and dandy but it is currently stuck on task 12 of 12 (restore device data) and hasnt moved for 3 hrs now...I don't want to unplug the device as it says unplugging may render some data unusable!
Anyway as usual I don't do lot of research (I'm stupid I guess), so first I flash CF-Auto-Root via Odin and... surprise phone is stuck on boot logo, so I don't panic too much , I install TWRP via Odin and everything is ok, then I download a stock firmware 3483.1 MB and try to flash it via odin but oh surprise, it fails, on the phone screen say

I updated 3 weeks ago my E72's firmware, after i done this my phone became a "little" slow.
If I use my video camera the image gets to be stuck every 5 seconds, when I watch the video on my pc or even on the E72, the sound is good but the images are most of the time mixed up or stuck...
also: when i put up a connection like making a call or browsing on the internet, the time it takes to connect to the server is ALOT longer...the camera and the connection worked a bit better before the firmware update...(BTW this is my first bad xp with Nokia, normally a business phone is close to bug free. This is close to no-wurth-selling...)
I'm upgrading from a Curve 8520 to a Curve 9320, so I backed up all my files and then restored it all onto my new phone. Everything works fine, signal, network, texts, calling, internet etc, but when I go onto the BBM app it asks me to type in my BB ID, which I do and then once it gets to restoring BBM it doesn't do anything even after being left for an hour.I've tried to follow methods of restoring online and on the forums but none work since the only option I have is to enter my ID and then there's only close options after that

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm base in Sydney Australia and have just received a msg from Nokia that I can update my firmware for my N900.(firmware version 10.2010.19.)The problem is that I receive a message that I could not update because of: poor-quality ,slow or intermittent internet connection. This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI searched for the answer but did not find one.To make a long story short...I have a jailbroken 3GS 3.1.2. I unlocked using blacksnow and started having network problems. I did a network reset while connected to itunes(not while syncing) and now my phone seems to have bricked. All I get is the apple logo screen for several minutes, it goes out and starts all over. It looks like it wants to reboot but it's getting hung up somewhere. After an hour or so I decided to do a restore. I'm afraid that restoring will automatically install 3.1.3. I want to stay with 3.1.2 so that I can re-jailbreak.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI wanted to intsall Mail For Exchange, and the Nokia E72 NAM doesnt seem to have it when I bought it (unless you can direct me to it). I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).
