IPhone 5s :: Stuck At Activation Screen After Restoring To Factory Setting
Jun 5, 2014
I had deleted my Apple ID and created one same Apple ID again. After i restored my iphone to factory setting, it stuck at the activation screen, even if i filled in the correct Apple ID and password, it shows "cannot use this Apple ID to unock this phone'.
If I restore my iPhone back to factory settings will it install ios 5.1 on the device? Right now I have ios 5.0.1 on the device and I don't really want 5.1.
I just reset my phone back to its original settings. I cannot now reactivate it. It keeps telling me that I cannot use thhe appleID that I am signing on with. This is my apple ID that I have always used.

I tried to restore my iphone to factory settings and now I am stuck at the activation screen. The message reads"Your Iphone could not be activated because the activation Server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iphone to iTunes to activate or try again in a couple of minutes". I am going on 3 days now. The phone is connected to my computer. Itunes is open but there is no indication that the iphone is connected. Apple support told me via email to uninstall itunes and re-install it. I did but the result is the same. When I try to restore/activate it appears to process and the following mesage appears" It may take up to 3 minutes to activate your iphone" but after the time expires it goes right back to the message above. When I hold down the home button, Emergency Call, Start Over, WiFi Settings and Cancel buttens appear. Nothing else works with or without the SIm card removed. Currently only my Wifi connection seems to register.
Dropped my s5 and now the screen doesn't work. Got a new s5 through insurance. Is there a way to reset the device to factory settings, since I can't view the screen?
Bought iPhone 3GS from eBay listed as factory unlocked. I activated it with ATT sim, upgraded to 5.1.1 and was able to use with TMobile sim. Seems to be factory unlocked, right ? But if I wipe/deactivate iPhone and then try to activate again it asks for ATT sim for activation. Wont activate with TMobile SIM. Did I buy factory unlocked ?
I follow the steps provided here: iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled. I connect my iPhone 4s to my computer and select the "Restore iPhone..." option and then select "Restore and Update" after I get a pop-up. Then iTunes says "Extracting software" and after that completes it gives me an error:Â
The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred(3004). Also keep in mind that I am doing this to get rid of a passcode so I cannot access the iPhone directly. I am running Windows 7 32-bit SP1. I have the latest version of iTunes.Â
Im trying to restore factory settings on my iphone to send it off for trade in but it will not allow me to do this without an internet connection. The wifi on the phone doesnt work which is why i've got a new one. Is there any way to do this offline?
My iPhone4 , IOS 5.1 doesn't have Face Time activation option in the setting. Even if I try calling an iPhone contact , face time option is not available .
I ran into a problem recently, I had to restore my iPhone to factory settings and in doing so I lost all my apps. I also got a new computer and don't have my old computer with all my apps on itunes.Basically I don't have my apps on my iPhone or computer. Is there any way I can recover my apps using my itunes account?
If you're anything like me, you dread the idea of your phone getting stuck, having to reset, restore, re-jailbreak, etc. But I wanted to ask, when the phone gets stuck, are there ANY other options besides having to restore everything or is that the only way to get it working again?
I bought a used DROID X from a friend to use only with Wi-Fi, not with Verizon service. It worked fine with only Wi-Fi even though it had no service. I did a Factory Reset to wipe it clean. Now when it comes up it goes to the activation screen and will not go past it, forcing activation to continue. I do not wish to activate the phone with Verizon, only use it with Wi-Fi. Does anyone know how I can get the phone back to working with Wi-Fi only? Is there an Android ROM version I can download from somewhere and load on this phone so that it does not force activation?
