Since the latest firmware update ive noticed my phone battery isnt lasting that long at all.
was fully charged when i went to bed, 8 hrs later without use its a 1/4 down. now through the day at work using it everynow n again for text message im down to 1/4 left.
Today i forgot to bring my iphone with me, when i came home i noticed that my iphone did not respond to the power button. I have tried several solutions like putting it in DFU Mode, reset, leaving it charged on my desktop/wall for no less than 2 hrs etc and of course its jailbroken, i also tried booting it in tethered mode but these dont work.
View 1 Replies View Relatedso i charged it the red LED start to show and white screen with battery icon in the middle it looks like empty battery, and stuck on it and sometimes it keeps spinning over and over again until it bcome black screen then it starts the same begining I tried the hard boot by taking the battery out for sometime and reinstalled it but it didn't work. I even try putting a different battery (friends battery) but still no joy.. and the main catch is if i try taking out the battery and plug the charger or connects it to the laptop it does the same thing without even any battery in it.So is it really a Battery problem or the OS problem.?? (If its a OS problem, can u install it myself at home.?

Just done latest E71 firmware update 400.21.013 to it and all went well except the WiFi symbol comes on after 30 seconds and will not go off. No other program can use the wifi connection. I have four E71. Tried it on the second E71 phone. Did the same. Permanently, the wifi is on. Tried a deep hard reset and then installed. Same again.

When i tried volume up+ power button+ home it didnt go to recovery mode. i can only go to download mode. What can i do?
when i tried to flash with odin the results were: stucks on setup connection, nand write start fail and recovery is not seandroid enforcing.
I've tried everything.. I tried putting it into recovery, DFU, and it won't show up in iTunes. Re-installed iTunes, and the AMDS, nothing. What else is there that I can do? I've run out of options and i'm hoping I don't have to take a trip to the apple store..

My phone said to download update so I did which then lead to the itune connect screen. I connected my phone to the PC and opened itunes which gave me the message that it did not recognize my phone and would have to restore factory setting. I tried to reboot my phone by holding down both buttons (no red slider ever appears) until it turned off. Once I turned it back on it went right back to that screen. I tried to restore factory setting and it gave me an error.
This is now know as the SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!!
Anyone know what's going on? I've already tried this[URL]did not work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm an E72 user and I'm not happy with the phone. I'm using the 031.023 FW. I'm using Google Mail, Nimbuzz and Ovi Contacts mainly. I also have google search installed and running in background. I used to have MfE but removed that account because I thought it is the problem that slows the phone however I'm getting random stalls. If I have 2-3 programs open at the same time, theres a very high chance of phone stalling for 1-2 mins. I can get back to homescreen but I cant access the applications running. When I type a number, phone lags a lot. I have like 450 contacts but It was a lot faster when I was using a WinMo phone previously. Do u have such issues ? I did a hard reset before installing the firmware and all software installs are on the memory card. Any options?
View 4 Replies View RelatedLike others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
Got my bold 9700 a month ago and finally decided to update to the latest firmware using the desktop manager.
Everything was going all fine and dandy but it is currently stuck on task 12 of 12 (restore device data) and hasnt moved for 3 hrs now...I don't want to unplug the device as it says unplugging may render some data unusable!
Anyway as usual I don't do lot of research (I'm stupid I guess), so first I flash CF-Auto-Root via Odin and... surprise phone is stuck on boot logo, so I don't panic too much , I install TWRP via Odin and everything is ok, then I download a stock firmware 3483.1 MB and try to flash it via odin but oh surprise, it fails, on the phone screen say

I updated 3 weeks ago my E72's firmware, after i done this my phone became a "little" slow.
If I use my video camera the image gets to be stuck every 5 seconds, when I watch the video on my pc or even on the E72, the sound is good but the images are most of the time mixed up or stuck...
also: when i put up a connection like making a call or browsing on the internet, the time it takes to connect to the server is ALOT longer...the camera and the connection worked a bit better before the firmware update...(BTW this is my first bad xp with Nokia, normally a business phone is close to bug free. This is close to no-wurth-selling...)
I am stuck on boot screen.. I went into download mode but I keep getting stuck on Setup Connection when I try to flash the stock rom.

This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.

I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).

I've just purchased (February 2011) a Nokia 3710 from Koodo Mobile in Canada. I've found that the battery on it is absolutely horrible, and needing to recharge it after 3 days, ten texts and an hour of talk time. This is in an area with a full-bar 3G signal, and the phone set to UMTS-only instead of dual-mode. Even my four-year-old LG can handle that and not need a recharge.Anyways, the internet seems to be abuzz with talk of a firmware update that addressed performance issues with the phone, It appears that my software (version 4.35) is the latest software out there (and that is what the'update sw' feature of my phone tells me), but I've also heard that there is a firmware 9.73 that came out on February 8, 2011.Does my phone need a firmware update? I like the phone, but I will be returning it in a few days if this battery issue cannot be addressed.

After some tests, uninstalling programs, deleting all WLAN Connections etc I found out that this is caused by unwanted WLAN connections to known WLANs. How can i solve this?This happens only at home or in my office (where I use wlan) , there are no applications running and nothing is allowed to sync automatically. But after some minutes when I unlock my 5800, I can see the wlan antenna - but when I want to check the connection, it disappears.I never had battery or WLAn issues, but since upgrading to v50 when i forget to connect it to the charger overnight the battery has drained and is empty.For finding open WLAn and for easy connections I use WeFi since I own my 5800. This never caused me any problem. But I have read through the Support Discussion and some other boards on the web: There are many others that suffer from battery drain after upgrading to Firmware v50.So please check whether this may also be related to unwanted WLAN traffic on your 5800:I stayed a few days in a hotel where there was no WLAN. I tried to upgrade again to Firmware v50 again via PC and cable, not OTA again. The battery lasted for three days as before (but remeber there was no WLAn available!)As soon as I was back home, the 5800 begain to connect again in standby estimated every 10 minutes to my home WLAN. I can see this in the routerīs connected devices. When I unlock the 5800 I see that WLAN is active and connected, a second later, or if I click on the icon, the connection disappears Simply bad, because when I forget my phone charger in the evening to hang on in the morning it is empty.Perhaps these guys have the same problem: /t5/Connectivity/5800-Wifi-Bug/m-p/410781 but I never ever had photo exchange, skype, fringe or else installed. View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 5800 used to retain battery power for 3-4 days of normal usage until my upgrade to the latest firmware. Firstly the FOTA failed. After restart it popped a "System Error" after"installing..." The Music Player also screwed and used to continously show "Fixing Corrupted Library files..(something like that)". Then i used OVI suite to transfer music and it temporarily fixed the issue. But then i used the USB connection with Nokia Software Updater and reinstalled the firmware. all the problems were fixed. But i observed that the Battery life has now reduced to just about 18 hours!! I am not sure if its indeed the firmware but most likely so. I also did a soft reset without realising that i would lose all the smses and contact data Anway, main issue is batterypower consumption. The Nokia Energy Profiler shows a current consumption of about 170mA. It was same even before the soft reset.
