IPhone :: Will Restoring 3.1.2 Automatically Update To 3.1.3.?

I searched for the answer but did not find one.To make a long story short...I have a jailbroken 3GS 3.1.2. I unlocked using blacksnow and started having network problems. I did a network reset while connected to itunes(not while syncing) and now my phone seems to have bricked. All I get is the apple logo screen for several minutes, it goes out and starts all over. It looks like it wants to reboot but it's getting hung up somewhere. After an hour or so I decided to do a restore. I'm afraid that restoring will automatically install 3.1.3. I want to stay with 3.1.2 so that I can re-jailbreak.

All my phone says is to plug it in to iTunes and the only option is to restore it. And I don't want to restore it because i will lose all my pictures. Is there any way I can undo the update?

Im trying to update to 4.0.1 but when it is restoring the firmware it says error 1004 and it has basically bricked my phone..how can i update and get my "Phone" back ( i use the term phone loosely when it comes to apple)

My Iphone is not automatically updating my Yahoo email unless I go in and manually refresh. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it does not. Verizon has deleted and readded my email account many times. It notifies me for a few hours, and then stops. Then, it will start again. My husband's works fine, and I have matched his settings.

I just did the last firmware update on my X3-02, it seemed to have gone fine but I'm unable the restore the parameters I previously saved. It starts alright, but stops in the middle of the process claiming it has connection problems, and advising that I restart my device and try again (which I did of course). Is it a known problem? Is there a way to restore my content?

having trouble restoring after the update?! I've had enough of this phone today then I update and find I can't restore most my things mainly the system settings! I mean it says backup befor eupdate to save your files,!It also says that I need the new backup and restore from [URL] or whatever, so I downloaded it and it says cannot update!Talk about annoying.what I can do to get my system files?

After using Backup and Restore before updating the software, I've found that I can't retrieve a lot of my text messages. Everything else has restored fine, and I've tried restoring with just the text messages box checked. This takes hours and hours and usually comes up with an error partway through, or it just doesn't complete. I have a lot of texts that I'd rather not lose.

I've got this problem since yesterday. my s5 is running 5.0 so i went to "About Device" hit the software update button and it updated though its still 5.0 Lollipop. So i went back to About device and unchecked automatic update. It still kept on connecting to server and downloading update. So it updated again after it updated and rebooted the device it still connected to the server on its own and started downloading updates again. I know i might have a lot of updates to download but is there a way i can stop this because its annoying. why despite downloading these updates my OS is still 5.0? r they firmware or security etc updates? performance updates?

How time of day is updated on the Motoactv. Since it has gps I assume it can access gps time, but I can't figure out if the device's time is updated, or if one has to update it manually.

I have a Nokia 5230 new phone which I purchased during March-2010. Yesterday, I update the firmware of my phone from v12.0.089 to v20.0.005.The update was done through the Nokia Software Updater and it was successful. However, after that the phone started behaving abnormally and it is getting restarted automatically. For example: whenever any call is coming and I want to receive that call, i click on the receive call button and then the phone gets restarted automatically. Similarly, even if I reject the call, it restarts.Kindly let me know what is the issue and how to fix the same.

Will Verizon Wireless automatically update the Tour to 5.0.0.591? I've seen my Tour do some automatic updates randomly before, so I was wondering if this was possible. Last day suddenly I saw that my E7 displayed "Critical update failed, removing the software."then it hangs, I had to restart my phone. After restarting I noticed that all my settings are gone. In my home screen by default all the icons, mailing and widgets are default, which was there when I bought the phone more than 6 months back. It is set to the three home screens, as if it is new phone.I cheked the menu and observe that all the apps that I downloaded are there even new Symbian anna is also there, mail settings are as it is.So what the apps/ software it was downloading without intimidating me I don't know, even I don't know till now what exactly happenned. Is it that Nokia was doing something over the Air (OTA), and which failed?

I have been a Nokia E72 user since jan 11 and have been facing some problems with the phone. Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. I have tried the hard & soft reset but the problem still remains the same. The firmware that i am using is 054.005 / make - Malaysia.

I have a Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna. 3 days ago I did a Software Update (something that was marked as "Important" device software update or something like this). After this my N8 is getting reset everyday (at least one time per day). For example yesterday when I was driving using Nokia maps my phone was restarted in the middle of a city. Before this update I had no problems, I used my N8 weeks without getting a reset.

Since updating to lollipop i have had no mobile signal and the nfc icon keeps switching on and off. I have tried to hard reset my phone as will as factory reset and even reinstalled the firmware but to no avail. Tried putting another sim card in and still not working. everything was working fine on kitkat.

In my Lumia 1320 time sync is not working. I can set it manually.
Few times it got restarted automatically [not frequently though, may be once in a week or so], and from then onward the time reverted back to the old time which was set as manually. If it set to update automatically, time sync is not happening at all.

I have installed the 2.3.4 update 3 days before and after that I have noticed that my E-mails are getting deleted automatically from INBOX. I have configured the default E-mail client with POP3 configuration. Everyday older mails are getting deleted from INBOX automatically. Strange thing is that older mails are getting deleted from INBOX only (not from TRASH or SEND box). With 2.3.3 I was not getting this issue. I was able to view 2-3 days older mails also in 2.3.3. But after installing 2.3.4, whenever I'm opening INBOX, Older mails are getting replaced with new mails automatically. I want my older emails to be in INBOX also.

I am not sure,but I think that before rooting and unrooting my Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos and installing a new firmware,with the power saving mode turned on,I could check for a weather information update without turning the location service manually on.
I suppose that the weather information service turned on the location service only for checking for weather information update automatically and then turned it off automatically again. And when I have pressed the weather update refresh button, it updated the weather information very fast. I would also like to add that the weather information,has been updating with no difference if the phone has been connected to a wi-fi network or 3G.
Is there a way I can get back that way of updating the weather information? That was only with the power saving mode turned on!

I am interested in purchasing the Nexus 6 but need to know if I can arrange the apps in the app drawer alphabetically automatically and keep them sorted that way even when I install new apps.
This will be a deal breaker for me if it can't be done as I can do it on my Note 4.

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4S 16GB running iOS 5.0.1. Just like everyone else, I have major battery drain! It loses like 20% overnight! I sleep For about 8 hours. So thats 20% gone in 8 hours. So I was thinking of restoring it. When I click on the Restore icon in iTunes it starts updating my phone to iOS 5.1! I don't want to update to 5.1. So I was wondering whether I could download iOS 5.0.1 from the web and then Shift + Click on the restore icon and restore my phone. Will that work? A lot of people are saying that it won't work because Appl has stopped signing iOS 5.0.1. I have no idea what that means. But I used to Shift + Click and restore my old iPhone 3G and it restored perfectly. It's still running iOS 3.1.3 haha. And Its also factory unlocked.
So, would Shift + Clicking on the restore icon in iTunes and manually selecting iOS 5.0.1 restore my phone? I really don't want to update.

Having a few issues with my phone. It will 'sleep' and then upon clicking it no longer wakes, so I have to restart everytime. Anyway, I would like to restore it, since I've never had to do this I'm not quite sure what actually is missing after restoring from a backup. As far as I know sms and such things dont get restored? How can I restore the phone that it's basically exactly the same after (sms, notes, settings etc.)?
