Nokia :: Unable To Update Firmware So As To Install Navigator

I live in Barcelona spain and bought a new 5800XM for christmas. As soon as I saw the new free navagator I tried to install, but it says that it needs latest firmware 31.0.008 or onwards, so I duely try to update my phone, I download the nokia software updater, conect my phone and it then tells me:-

Update 25.0.025
how can this be when I see people have v40. What am I doing wrong, I read someones feed saying I must wait wait and wait for my operator to update. Is this true, does this not com from nokia.
E71 RM493 . I've updated phone firmware to latest (410.21.010).Previously I had ovi maps working properly (purchased navi license too).Now I find again old Nokia maps navi program that does not work anymore ("cannot open application install latest)downloaded latest from nokia site (nokia_maps_3.03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom.Nocs.sis)after installation I get error message ("unable to install. no access").
I went to Download page http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/mail-for-exchange/compatibility-and-download#60 and there Nokia says me that my 6210 Navigator is "Certified Device" and offers me version MailForExchange(2.9.158)_S60_3_1.sisx.
But, when I try to confirm installation on the cell, I get a "The Mail Exchange software you are trying to install is not compatible with the device" and then sends me back to look at the same web page I downloaded from.
Finally got my mitts on one of these amazing phones and loving everything about it.However the euphoria is being slowly eroded by Vodafone's lack of support and knowledge of the device.Since taking delivery of the handset on 4th of March, it and I have been unable to find any firmware updates through the normal channels (Nokia's own update page, NSU and the OTA update search can't find any updates beyond the 1.2009.42-11.205.1). According to Vodafone the latest firmware for the device should be 2.2009.51.1.
I know there's a Maemo Flashing Tool available and have downloaded it and the firmware, but I can't get an answer from Vodafone whether this will void my Vodafone warranty.
I'm concerned that as it won't update now, it won't update when Meego hits the servers.
I have nokia N97(12.01) version 10.1.021 but problem is i m unable to update its software. I can't connect to nokia ovi suite with usb cable because when i connect the usb cable i dont find the option (pc suits) so that i can connect to ovi software. Even i coudn't find any software update option in the application menu. So can anyone please help me to get rid of the old firmware which is full of bug...I didn't even find any connectivity option in the seeting menu...
nokia x6 16gb and m updating my firmware using nokia software updater.i saw in nokia site new firmware v21.0.004 is available for my phone but m unable to update it is showing ur phone is up to date but showing prev version of firmware.
Even though Nokia has released several firmware updates for the Nokia 5800 (last one just a few days ago), I'm stuck in version 21.2.025 (custom version 21.2.025.415.02).I have tried to update it directly on the phone and also using PC Suite's Nokia Software Updater but in both cases I get a "no new version available" message.
I've tried to update my E63 software using Nokia Suite v3.3.86 but in vain.
The steps I've followed in the 3rd step fo update process (i.e. Install) are as follows with screenshots attached:
1. It checks for valid installation file (see attached "Installation file validation.png"). Since the update has been downloaded by it previously, it proceeds to next step.
2. It starts preparing to install (see attached "Preparing to install.png").
3. It show USB connection active screen with a windows notification saying "Nokia E63 disconnected via USB" is seen on "Install screen". (see attached "Install Screen.png" for "Install Screen").
4. Next with the same USB connection active screen, a windows notification saying "Nokia E63 connected via USB" is seen on "Install screen".
5. The windows notification disappears and the screen is still at the "Install Screen" (see attached "Install Screen.png").
6. Nothing happens even after waiting for a long time. Clicking "Next" repeats the above mentioned process from step 2.
Dialing "*#0000#" gives the following info:
"500.21.009 02-06-2010 RM-437 (c) Nokia E63-1 (308.06)"
I'm having a problem when trying to update my Nokia 5230 using the Nokia Suite.Please note; my phone is plugged in, there is an update for my phone as the last time it was updated was when it made manufactured (nov 09). The USB mode is on 'PC suite'. I have downloaded all the latest versions of the Nokia Suite.
When I click 'Update Phone Software", it takes me to the updater. When it comes to the 'Searching for a connected device', it hands for about 1-2 minutes, then says "Unable to find device".
I have E72 with this specification:E72-2, RM 529, version 022.007.I am trying to install new firmware version 31.023. Although I found out this version is released but my Nokia software updater just say my current firmware (22.007) is up to date! Is it possible? How can I install new firmware?
Ever since I updated my iPhone to 5.1, I can't press the play button to listen to my voice mail.Any know how to fix this problem? It happened to my mother's iPhone also.

i was updating my e63 yesterday to v400 and at about 2 min left, my software updater roze and the phone stuck at blank screen. i pressed green, 3 and * button as it was xplained in faq, and i was able to boot up my phone. now, few things are missing,ike tiger woods game, facebook, Internet applications. they have shortcuts but not on the phone, maybe something else, but this things are noticeable. i can live with it, but what i can't live is connecting this phone to pc and sync, and future updates. ftware updater won't recognize the phone anymore giving me error "unable to retrieve device information". i disconnected the battery, tried to reinstall ovi suite and software pdater, but nothing works. today i took my phone to work, and was trying to run ater on this computer with clean install (never had any nokia software on isachine). same error message "unable to retrieve device information". the updater suggest to install updater (done!), unplug the usb (done!), remove battery for 10 sec nothing seems to work. well, the phone still works, even though i lost wlan in one of the restarts, but overall the phone is functional. i made calls, sent messages, installed few applications, listening radio right now.
I have an iPhone 4 iOS 5.1 and I have a problem updating/installing apps with the app store when i try to update/install an app I get a message "an unkown erroe has eccurred" and thats it and the updtae/install of the app stops, why is it? how can I solve this?
i installed on my nokia x6 phone this file --> "qt-mobility-symbian-1.1.0-symbian3-nokia-signed.sis".now i can't remove it or update it or install s60 version of qtmobility. why?
i have a xoom 32gb wifi only device that i purchased from woot.com and i received the update notice to 3.1. i have downloaded and attempted to install several times now, each attempt has failed.
see attached image for error I have tried a Factory Reset (Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset), as well as factory reset at boot. No success.
I also tried the "wipe cache" command at boot and this did not result in a successful installation either. The only other choice at boot that makes sense is to "install update from usb", and when selected it goes to sdcard.
At this point I am seriously considering rooting, unlocking and then updating?
Unable to install or update apps. While attempting to update, received the following msg: "Update for xxxxxx could not be downloaded due to error(921)". Xoom WiFi only, Android ver. 4.0.4, Build # IMM76 Android phone is able to install and update apps on my home WiFi network.
I'm base in Sydney Australia and have just received a msg from Nokia that I can update my firmware for my N900.(firmware version 10.2010.19.)The problem is that I receive a message that I could not update because of: poor-quality ,slow or intermittent internet connection. This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.
I wanted to intsall Mail For Exchange, and the Nokia E72 NAM doesnt seem to have it when I bought it (unless you can direct me to it). I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).
I tried to update my sony xperia neo V today several times. but again and again I get an error msg "Unable to install or start phone software update components." even tried to reinstall sony pc companion but it doesn't work.I am already install the UPDATE SERVICE (SUS)
I can see that there is a new update for my Xperia Neo but when it gets to the second stage (preparing my phone to update), it says it is 'unable to install or start phone software update components'. Anyone have any idea how I can update my phone or why it won't let me update it now???
When i try to ugrade my phone software i get the error message "Unable to install or start phone software update conponents" . i restarted phone, pc suite, reinstalled, but my phone is not getting upgraded. pc suit says latest upgrades are available. Even if i go for repair phone same option comes.
Hestory : last night i tried to upgrade my phone using Sony Update service. it ran upgrade and everything was new. all previously installed softwares are gone.
Symptoms: it shows android 2.3.4 version on phone but in PC suit while, upgrade using pc suite it says vrsion 4 .a .XXX , and upgrading to 4.b.XXX ... then it proceeds and fails with error "Unable to install or start phone software update conponents" .
I cannot update my Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini SI No. 1248-9517. When I connect it to my pc Sony PC Companion it starts but it shows an error "Unable to install or start phone software update components."
