i installed on my nokia x6 phone this file --> "qt-mobility-symbian-1.1.0-symbian3-nokia-signed.sis".now i can't remove it or update it or install s60 version of qtmobility. why?

I have tried it doing via Ovi Suite and also through my mobile using gprs, but all the times i have failed. The software version currently am having is 30.2.003 which was updated on Dec.7th 2010 and am sure that there have been other updates that got released after that....Can anyone help out with this....also my phone battery is getting dried up very quickly, what i have learnt by research is that the software version might be one of the reasons for this

When I try to install or uninstall something it's says: Unable to start operation. Installer already in use.....Also A few days ago I had a problem with OVI store and I installed it but the shortcut is steel in the Application menu. ( if try to enter in ovi store it says that I have to update the application and if I try, I get an error). Is this a virus or a software problem? What should I do?

Q.1 ) If apple says 8GB, where is the remaining space then ? It should specify somewhere that 1.73 GB being used by iOS system. Why is not specified anywhere ?
Q.2 ) My iPhone shows 2.3GB space as OTHERS ! I don't understand this others space & apple has not specified what OTHERS mean !
Q.3 ) Is there a way to clean up OTHERS space ?
I tried many different ways, I removed all of my audio/sounds from my iPhone & synced. I removed my MAIL account associations & I removed most of the apps from my iPhone to recover the Space.But OTHERS is yet allocated to 2.3 GB. iOS itself taking 1.73 GB So, this way, Half of the iPhone memory is being used somehow without my knowledge.I am allowed to use only 4GB of my iPhone. Why the h--l is this ? I feel pretty bad about this.I am wondering, If I remove entire iOS5 & install iOS5 on my iPhone4 again, that should work.I have an iPhone4 which is Factory UNLOCK piece. Neither jailbroken nor unlocked by any illegal activities.

If I try to uninstall any sis/sisx apps already installed, I get an error message saying, "Removing failed". The problem started for apparently no reason about 3 months after I bought the phone new, prior to which I had no problem installing/uninstalling sis/sisx apps. No problem with Java apps they install/uninstall with no difficulty -- I have verified that myself.How do I solve this problem? I have searched the discussions forums, but can't find exactly what I'm searching for.I want to soft reset the phone or reinstall the current firmware. The problem with reinstalling the firmware is that I see no option given in Nokia Suite to reinstall the current firmware. Anyone know then how to reinstall the firmware?Otherwise, my other option is to soft reset (*#7370#) (not a restore to factory settings). But I have a few questions before I do that. I understand a soft reset wipes the phone memory.1. Will a soft reset erase the apps which were on the phone when I bought it, namely QuickOffice, Adobe Reader 1.5, Nokia Maps, etc?2. I'm having a problem when trying to update my Nokia 5230 using the Nokia Suite.Please note; my phone is plugged in, there is an update for my phone as the last time it was updated was when it made manufactured (nov 09). The USB mode is on 'PC suite'. I have downloaded all the latest versions of the Nokia Suite.
When I click 'Update Phone Software", it takes me to the updater. When it comes to the 'Searching for a connected device', it hands for about 1-2 minutes, then says "Unable to find device".

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a xoom 32gb wifi only device that i purchased from woot.com and i received the update notice to 3.1. i have downloaded and attempted to install several times now, each attempt has failed.
see attached image for error I have tried a Factory Reset (Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset), as well as factory reset at boot. No success.
I also tried the "wipe cache" command at boot and this did not result in a successful installation either. The only other choice at boot that makes sense is to "install update from usb", and when selected it goes to sdcard.
At this point I am seriously considering rooting, unlocking and then updating?
