Xseries :: Unable To Update The Software For X6-00?

I have been trying to update my x6-00 software for quite a sometime but am unable to do it. I have tried it doing via Ovi Suite and also through my mobile using gprs, but all the times i have failed. The software version currently am having is 30.2.003 which was updated on Dec.7th 2010 and am sure that there have been other updates that got released after that....Can anyone help out with this....also my phone battery is getting dried up very quickly, what i have learnt by research is that the software version might be one of the reasons for this

i installed on my nokia x6 phone this file --> "qt-mobility-symbian-1.1.0-symbian3-nokia-signed.sis".now i can't remove it or update it or install s60 version of qtmobility. why?

i purchased this set two days before.i cannot able to see videos as it is hanging all the times and restarts.i got replaced tht and the new unit also have same prob and i dont think it is better one.is anyone facing similar problesms??and tell wht is the remedy for it??TELL me a solotion for it..

i am using nokia x2-00. I am able to download whatsapp, but it does not work. Before this, i could verify my number and login, but could not set status, receive or send anything. I deleted whatsapp and re installed, now i can not even verify my number. It shows http 53# error. I am using vodfone.what network settings should i adjust.

im unable to send sms from my x7 n its almost a week nowmessages go to outbox n then they r never sent, resend time keeps on changing but the message stays in the outbo tried restarting the phone n it worked at the beginning but now its of no use
i also restored the factory settiings but after sending 3 sms it got stuck again

Since yesterday I am not able to sign into my ovimusic account(in pc).The message is-"you could not sign in automatically please try manual sign in"- but the "sign in"option is not getting activated-for manual sign in .Also on trying to visit music . ovi.com, it's showing"(en) Your mobile isnt supported by Ovi Music, but you can still discover and download new music by visiting music.ovi.com on your PC."I tried accessing music through ovi store but again the same message. I deleted my oviplayer,redownloaded but with same problem persisting.Also I dont have any issues with other ovi suite applications(version 2.2) or to sign in.

I have just started to see this problem, it has worked ok since I had the phone. Basically I am unable to add any shortcut to the Orange homescreen, I understand you can only have 4 and have removed all existing shortcuts to make sure, I can drag applications onto the homescreen but when i tap on the 'add shortcut' icon nothing happens, I have tried a soft reset & this did not work either, I am reluctant to do a hard reset because I don't want to have to re-install/configure everything again.

I performed a phone switch in my X2-01 to transfer my contacts and messages from an N2690.The data connection was lost before it can complete so I had to do a second try. I noticed that there were a lot of messages with empty headings in the X2-01 which I did not have in the N2690. I tried to delete them, but I was getting the message "Error occurred. Deletion not completed." over and over again.When I used a PC Suite, the empty messages displayed with their body and I recognized them as the previously deleted messages in the N2690. I was unable to delete the messages using the PC Suite even after restoring to factory settings (including personal data).

I own a nokia x6, 8gb and my lock switch broke a year back. I installed softwares such as mazelock, screenlock fx,etc which enables me to lock and unlock by using the menu key (pls note i used this software successfully for atleast 10months). I recently started facing problems wherein my phone locks itself (after 20mins of usage) and even if i press the menu key or the power key, my phone shows the slide to unlock screen but if i swipe, it doesnt actually unlock (MY TOUCH SCREEN IS NOT RESPONSIVE BUT DISPLAYS THE TIME PERFECTLY). I tried all the softwares possible and this happens even with the default nokia locking software.I tried hard reset using 7370 but my phone doesnt restart.Instead i need to manually start my phone. I tried reinstalling my os using the nokia suite but everytime i get an error saying the connection to the phone was lost and MY PHONE GETS SWITCHED OFF.IT DOESNT RESTART AS ITS INTENDED TO.

I wanna sell my x6 at eBay and want to delete all my files(images,SMS,games,apps,etc), but if I reset my cell phone up to factory setting, there arenīt delete my own files, just the setting of the phone is reset.I don't wanna sell it in eBay and somebody hasnīt anything to do as restore the old private files and read my personal messages.

i bought Nokia X2-00 last week...unfortunately, the phone can not connect to internet. i've contacted my service provider..they gave me the setting for internet connection..they also advised me to switch off the phone, remove the battery and sim card..but then i still could not connect to internet. i also checked the software using nokia Ovi Suite..since the phone is using the latest software,i reinstalled the software..but then, whenever i tried to connect to internet...these messages would appear 'Link not available' or 'no network connection.unable to download'..

I bought a brand new X6 16gb about 2 weeks ago. Everything was working fine at the start. But now I can not get a wifi connection at all. It doesn't detect any WLAN. All my other devices are working fine and can connect to my wirless network OK. I've tried all the settings and it just doesn't work. It's getting very annoying. Any ideas what the problem is?
I haven't loaded much on the phone since i got it. As i mentioned, it was working fine at first. Then it got really slow and then after a couple of days it would only detect the wireless network sometimes (it would connect but i still wouldn't be able to browse) and now not at all.

For a few weeks now I haven't been able to access my OVI account on my X6 - I think it coincided with a phone update [but can't be certain].I can access my account no problem via my computer at home but not by my Phone. I keep getting the message 'Unable to Connect to Server', this is the same through both WLAN and Internet Access.Is there any way I can reset my handset prefs or is there something fundamentally wrong?

I have Nokia X6 (S60V5) phone and I am trying to play wmv videos on it with no luck.Its Device details says that it can play wmv9
Video Playback Formats 3GPP formats (H.263), Flash Video, H.264/AVC, MPEG-4, RealVideo 7,8, WMV 9
I did encode a sample video with following config.
Resolution: 480x360
Video Bit rate : 1024K
Video Codec: wmv3 (which is WMV9)
Audio codec: wmav3
Sampling Rate: 44100
Audio bitrate: 128K
This configuration is not supprted on X6 Could anyone tell me what should be the configuration of wmv file inorder to be played on Nokia X6?

I put few video songs of WMV and MPG-4 format in my x2-01 which I bought couple of weeks back but its unable to play them. When I play WMV format only sound come and no video is shown and for MPG-4 it says that file not supported.

I have an X2-02 with firmware version 10.90.I searched the web for any update available to, perhaps get ride of bugs, and I did found one here: [URL] It's the version 10.91 But when I tried to install it using Nokia Suite (v. 3.3.89), I got the message: no update available for your device!!!

I have X7 from 2-3 days brand new. In the beginning gsm have some crashes; and this morning I did successful update to v. 025.007; The version, that I downloaded, was shown in the site and Nokia software updater. After successful update X7 still restart on its own on every 1 (one) minute!
