IPhone :: Unable To Use Side Volume Controls, Vibrate Switch, And Proximity Switch After Screen & LCD Change?
May 9, 2012I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

Feb 28, 2011I own a Nokia X3-00. When I first purchased it, after 2 days, it failed to switch on. Instead a white screen appeared and after the Nokia logo appears, the screen flashes 3-4 times and than it goes off. I got a new set in place of it since it was just 3 days old. Now the new phone I got also got the same problem of white screen. I wanted to ask that what is the reason behind this white screen problem? I didn't update the firmware and didn't disturbed any settings of the phone.

On two of them, we have option to toggle the home screen picture between stationary (screens slide across the picture) and spread out (larger picture that moves when changing screens). On one of the phones, the toggle switch just isn't there. If I use 3 home screens, for example, and have a picture with 2 people in in it, I have to slide to the next screen to see the other person. If I use one home screen, the picture will resize to that screen. How do I get the toggle to appear on this phone?

Feb 11, 2012I have upgraded my X3-02 to the new software, and I like it what you guys did, swipe to unlock, swipe to open apps, etc. But why can't I disable the Homescreen? In the previous software there is an option in the settings menu for turning off the homescreen and I can put a shortcut of it in the Go To menu so I can disable it whenever I feel like just seeing my wallpaper.

Jun 1, 2010I figured this maybe a simple case of reloading the firmware but I wanted to know id nyone else had any insights.
Basically I can't get to the home screen, I have a password on my phone, soon as I try to unlock it the phone locks up.
I've done a battery pull and removing the SD card and the SIM but no joy.
But if I use the phone to make calls its fine.
Its really weird to say the least.
It could be the password causing it, is there anyway for me to disable the password outside of the phone itself? Such as using desktop manager? Or should I just bite the bullet and update the firmware?

When I try to hide all they drop but leave the top 2 rows showing. they all pop up as expected when commanded to so it must be some software glitch?

Feb 11, 2012I just got Belle on my N8 and I can't figure it out at all. I know it has to do with "hidden folders" on my E: drive (Not F in this case) I don't know where they could be or should be at this point). It also take a while for any previews to display.
I got 2 missing links that show up when I try to select a wallpaper (from the homescreen). At first I had none then 1 now 2. If I search for pictures from the gallery they don't show up at all (because they're hidden). If I could somehow soruce where they are I could remove them on my own.
I wish (how it was on Anna) that files in the wallpaper folder were the only one that could be found when changing wallpapers from the homescreen. Changing them from the galley doesn't work properly like it does from the homescreen (WTfail). How did I get into this mess? FaceContacts (Hidding that folder) and Trucaller (Hidding that folders cache) photos. I hide them so that they don't appear when selecting in Nokia Sleep Screen and changing wallpapers. I've deleted FaceContacts and removed those folders for now. I left TruCaller because I never saw those images appear so it wasn't the issue.
When I turn off & on my phone I can select a wallpaper again :/ At least the phone isn't slow

Mar 17, 2010My 5530XM is acting up again (v.11 firmware). The symptoms are random disconnects from WLAN and, after doing a soft reset, unable to put shortcuts on the home screen (using the Shortcuts theme). I really think the problem is with the memory card because I can't turn the phone on with the card inside.
Is there a way to scan/repair problems with the memory card? I really, really want to avoid a hard reset. Last time I did that, I lost all my apps from the memory card (I have the Games Edition). I can try using PC Suite or Ovi Suite to back up my memory card apps, but I don't trust the suites that much. What I'd like to do is drag and drop my memory card apps to another location in my PC, but I cannot see the memory card apps in Windows Explorer.

Feb 28, 2015Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

Xseries :: The App Will Only Work At Home?
Mar 15, 2011I have been using the Foursquare app for the past few weeks and it has worked well, never had a problem with a gps signal. All of sudden a couple of days ago, the app will only work at home. I have tried it at several places that I have checked in at before, all of them outside, and Foursquare cannot find a signal, it shows a signal icon with an X in it.... and I cannot check-in at the venue. When I arrive at home, and go inside, the app finds a signal and works perfectly. I have walked away from the house and as soon as I am out of wifi range, the app stops working.
