How can I make wireless connection with D-Link DI-524 my N900. I try to conect with help IP 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 and 10.0.0.1 but without success. Other my nokia like N97 and N95 8G geting link for network normali with the same router DI-524.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia N86 still and went back to it today as i dropped X6 tuf cookie for me. Any way when I connect to the net I can get up most pages fine. However, when I need to choose another link on the same page it does not open or reverts back to homescreen.
If I google search something it gets the results but not everytime it will open link, eg today I opened my GSM Arena bookmark that opens fine went to the page after which was the awaited news of nokia releasing 3 phones today, that opens but when I go to open link on that same page it wont open, the phone goes blank or either back to homescreen.
I find the same with OVI and OVI can be horribly slow at times to could this be a factor? Also with yahoo mail the same I get my mail, it opens fine but if I go to open the url on the mail the same happens phone is up to date. As i said I've exhausted every other typical solution there is. Sometimes the message pops up unable to perform operation/packet data not available/forget what the other one is, I have full 3.5g coverage.
I just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. I bought an N900 from the Nokia shop about 3 months ago. I'll be going away to (very) foreign parts next month, so I'd like to use the N900 as a tethered modem for my netbook. However when I connect the phone to the netbook via the USB cable, and choose the "PC suite" option, the phone is recognised when I use lsusb in a terminal, but the modem *is not*. Is there something in the phone settings I need to tweak, or an extra app I need to install in the phone, or is it a more fundamental flaw? Google searches for "Nokia N900" + modem + linux give pages which suggest that it should "just work", but it doesn't
If all else fails, I may have to fall back to using my previous phone (a Sony Ericsson v630i), which I *have* used successfully as a tethered modem, but I'd prefer to keep using the N900...

Each time I attempt to make a phone call I get a connection error message and also can't receive or send sms or receive calls but I can get on the net via wifi and wap.The phone has been back to a nokia repair center where they replaced my camera lens (which was OK) and completely ignored my reasons for need of repair...It came back with the exact same errors it went with, I read on here how to do a hard reset which for some reason worked for a day then the phone continued with the connection error. I have sent numerous emails to the so called Nokia Support Center and have yet to receive a reply after 2 months, I've also rang them and have been passed around various places and ended up on the phone with the 1st person I spoke to, none of these people could help me..
I bought the N97 from a seller on eBay and was completely sealed brand new in the box and the seller is unwilling to communicate or help. The phone is sim-locked to vodafone.. It is an original n97 not a clone or copy. I've tried updating to the latest version but ovi updated says it don't exist. Is there anyway to get a replacement handset from Nokia or anyway to force them to respond and help me, or is there anyone out there know what my problem is? Thnx for any help.

I am using Nokia Maps 3.03 on my E71 (language: German) plus Nokia Map Loader 3.0, but I am experiencing several problems: Nokia Maps goes online via Internet for a few seconds (which costs me) although I set it to my Wireless connection. How can I switch that off? Every time I load a new map (and voices) via Map Loader and then start the software on my E71, it tells me that the maps are out-dated and I need to delete them. But then I do not see any maps in the software, and also the load of the voice is gone.
