I've had the N900 since Feburary now and it started today.I use to have internet connection on all the time but today, it's not working.I've tried to get a connection but it message says "Internet Connection Failed, Try Again?"When I press Yes, it tries again but get the same message. I've didn't change any connection settings and I'm with T-Mobile if that helps.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm base in Sydney Australia and have just received a msg from Nokia that I can update my firmware for my N900.(firmware version 10.2010.19.)The problem is that I receive a message that I could not update because of: poor-quality ,slow or intermittent internet connection. This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA weird thing has started happening on my 5800 in that certain apps seem to have started failing to connect to the internet. If I use the browser then I get the connection choice menu i.e. WAP or WiFi, but certain applications have stopped giving this choice and therefore just sit there doing nothing. The only way I can get them to do anything is by connecting to a WiFi point first via settings then starting the application. This is okay when I'm near a WiFi point but it means cannot use these application properly on the move. The apps that are affected are Gmail, Googlemaps and Forcea Weather.
If anyone has any idea on how to fix this then I would be grateful for your help.
Newly changed my subscription. I get these messages trying to use ovimaps on my cell:First I get this message: "Connection failed?" and the it goes in a mode "Waiting for GPS?" but after 15 minutes it has still not found GPS signal.In addition I can tell that internet now works 100% perfect but my yahoomail only reach connection 8 out of 10 attempt to get connection. Using mu yahoo email account on the phone I get the message. "Shot down one of the connection".

I bought an N900 from the Nokia shop about 3 months ago. I'll be going away to (very) foreign parts next month, so I'd like to use the N900 as a tethered modem for my netbook. However when I connect the phone to the netbook via the USB cable, and choose the "PC suite" option, the phone is recognised when I use lsusb in a terminal, but the modem *is not*. Is there something in the phone settings I need to tweak, or an extra app I need to install in the phone, or is it a more fundamental flaw? Google searches for "Nokia N900" + modem + linux give pages which suggest that it should "just work", but it doesn't
If all else fails, I may have to fall back to using my previous phone (a Sony Ericsson v630i), which I *have* used successfully as a tethered modem, but I'd prefer to keep using the N900...
My wifi connection is working fine, but internet connnection is not, want to sort it out soon

I have a Nokia N900. When I am in offline mode, but there is a SIM card in it, when I try to connect with Wifi, I get a message saying: Exit offline mode? (Yes/No are the possibles answers). Well I click No to connect to the internet while I am in offline mode, but nothing happens then! It connects without a problem without a SIM card or when I am not in offline mode. Is that supposed to happen? No Internet in Offline Mode?

1. "Looking for GPS"
2. "Downloading Data/Looking for GPS"
3. "Looking for GPS"
4. "No GPS Signal"
I did lot of readings on this but couldn't find a fix. This is reported as a bug in Maemo Bugzilla.But I'm confused with the comments from other users in these forums.So please update me if this is a general bug, or is it something wrong with my mobile.
I need help, I had a software issue with my original N900 and Nokia have replace my handset with a new one. The problem now is that I can not access the internet. I have called my service provider and they have sent me the settings and they have check on they side and have found no issues. They have advise me to go back to nokia to check the set up of the phone.Does anyone know if I have to set up or change any setting in the phone to access the Net?

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy bluetooth was working fine in the beginning, but now I'm unable to start the bluetooth and/or pair it to any devices.I setup from the bluetooth menu the bluetooth on, visible and name it but, when I click "save" button nothing happens. When I re-enter the menu all the settings are gone, and the bluetooth has never started.
I just downloaded today/yesterday the latest maemo update and was hoping this would fix the problem but the problem still exists.
I just updated my E72 yesterday and apart from fixed bugs, now I've got more serious problems. I couldn't connect to the internet for sure. It says "No connection available". Besides, when I look into my contacts, I couldn't use the search mode. It says "Building cache. Search will be available in a moment."I've done everything, from re-update the same firmware version and also restoring phone settings, hard reset. Nothing happened. Not fixed.
