I need to know the location/folder of these files e.g. Contact folder, Bookmark, system setting, application etc. These files are the input files to the default N900's backup program (osso-backup). I plan to back up these files nightly.If not all possible, at least let me know the contact and bookmark folders. These folders are important to me for my nightly backup.

All is fine with recieving emails, but when I try to send an email from the phone it allows goes into the junk folder.I have set a few test emails to Hotmail accounts and Outlook accounts, but all appear in the junk folder.Can anyone help me with this problem?

My contact's online status indicators seem to have disappeared from the phone book view and from my contact short-cut icons on the desktop. I had the phone on and they were available when I switched it on, but at some point, they just disappeared. Please can someone explain what causes this and if there is anything I can do to solve it / prevent it, other than turning the phone off and on again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with Skype on my N900 (PR1.2).
The vast majority of my Skype contacts are fine. I can Skype Instant Message them with no problem.
However, there are a couple where when I try and send an IM, I get the message:
messaging_fi_unable_to_deliver_message_contact_unauthorized
I have tried removing the contact (from both my and the remote contact's Skype), and I've readded from my N900 and asked for authorization, and its been accepted, but I still get the error message when I try and IM.
When the remote contact IMs me the message never turns up, but they don't get an error message.
I've also tried it the other way around, where we delete the contacts on each other's Skype, and then the remote contact has asked for authorization, and I've accepted on the N900 - but still the same message.
The remote user us on Windows 7, using Skype 4.2.0.169. It has worked previously, but all of a sudden, it stopped for no obvious reason. This is happening with two of my contacts, who are in two different locations on different versions of Windows. Oddly, Skype voice calls work okay!
I can IM all my other Skype contacts no problem.
Often make my own ringtones using Garageband on my Mac. Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

How do I add a bookmark to one of my homescreens on Belle?
I'm sure when using Anna I could add one using 'add shortcut' but on Belle, 'add shortcut' only directs you to application shortcuts.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

I have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using an iPhone 4 with the 5.1 iOS. I downloaded an app for LG which turned out to be just a Safari bookmark with an app icon. It looks like a regular app but when you click it - Safari opens and it takes you to the LG webpage. Now I want to get rid of it and I can't. It doesn't appear in the list of apps in iTunes in the Sync Apps area, although it does show up on the phone and in the phone panel in iTunes. When I click on the app icon in itunes (in the phone panel) - it highlights it, but there's no X, and right-clicking doesn't do anything and pressing doesn't do anything either. It does not appear in my list of bookmarks in Safari either.

After upgrading to Gingerbread I have a bookmark that I cannot delete. It is not on of the Verizon bookmarks etc etc, it is one of a site I visited. It is the following...

The bookmark has a little lock near the title... when I long press on the bookmark I do get the "delete" choice, which I of course choose. But the gookmark is still there.
After installing the bookmarks app, I logged in with my Google account email address and password. Then, I saw a prompt to "Sync" and I clicked on it.After that, I expected to be able to access my bookmarks, but each search comes up with a blank page. What have I missed?

Dolphin will sync to google but as far as I can tell this only let's you save to google, there does not seem to be a mechanism to "path" Dolphin out to Dropbox. I'm using a PAYG with Virgin UK and it loggs on to T-Mobile on some occasions as there is apparently a network sharing between Virgin and T-Mobile.However, T-Mobile has set a bookmark www.t-zones.co.uk in the Nokia browser (and made it startup page so it goes straight there when you open the browser). The "delete" and "edit" options don't exist on this one. Auto-bookmarks are off in the settings.
