Jul 1, 2010Just bought N900 lately. I saw that there's already a new software PR 1.2. I'm trying to install it using my device & I already backed-up my phone. However when I continued to install the software, it flashed a warning that the "target memory is low" what will I do next?

How can I decide where applications are saved to when I install them, to prevent this from happening? Mar 28, 2010I recently got a new E63 phone & am struggling to get my contacts right. The problem is the default contact location is phone memory and though i have copied the contacts to phone memory, if there is any incoming call or sms, the name doesnt appear even though i would have that persons contact stored.
Is there any way to change the default location to memory card? I go to Communication -> contacts -> Options -> Settings and the only option available is Phone & Contacts. Currently the default is phone. If i change to contacts, it asks for sign in. Kindly assist.

Jan 10, 2010My N900 can't recognize or see memory card. is this part of the big failure or peculiar to mine. Worst still, I cant use check my credit balance using the code *556#, load credit. It doesnt with pc suite, nor with the ovi suite, map updater, map loader! is this a fraud or what?

Aug 23, 2010I just got my N900 about 2 days back, my sister dropped it and it would not turned on. I flashed it, and now it turns on but it does not recognize my internal memory card. I don't have an external card. I can't use camera, all websites show blank, and I get low error messages on almost everything else due to this.
If I go to settings/memory the the device memory is full and available memory for installable applications is at 80 MB. There is no corrupt memory card message. Also if I go to backup utility I get a "no memory card inserted" message. Any suggestions?

Jan 18, 2010I'm having a strange issue with my N900. It started yesterday when I plugged into my PC in external stockage mode. Windows gave me an alert saying that the phone should be analysed because of a faulty file system. I ignored this message. I have now noticed that I can no longer save any data on the internal memory, on the microSd there is no problem. I have no idea how to solve this problem so any advice would be great.

Aug 30, 2010When I power on my N900 I get a notification message saying device storage format unsupported. Note: I don"t have a memory card, this is the Internal Memory Card. When I check (settings, memory) It says memory card corrupt 1.86GB available. When I check File Manager, It says no files/folders. I tried flashing the firmware and emmc and it worked everything was back. But when I restart my phone same notification. When run mount/home/user/MyDocs via X-Terminal. In File Manager I can see N900 folder but in Settings/Memory is still says memory corrupt. When I restart phone everything does not work again. Can someone please assits me.

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. I can access the card through nokia PC Suite but that's a pain and I never had this problem before with my old E72.I'm running XP - if I go to my computer and double click 'Removable Disc (E' I just get the 'please insert disc into drive E' message.

Jul 3, 2010I have come to 'Memory Low ' error message and have a question about that.I am not using additional applications, just default ones.I am not using mail.I clean web cache.What I have though is a lot of Saved Pages. As I noticed that my memory is geting low, I deleted my music using File manager and deleted some Saved pages. Problem is that used memory is still the same like it was before I deleted the files. I suppose that my deleted files gone to recycle bin or something like that? How can I REALY delete it (without reset)?
