Nokia :: 5800 - Dead Pixel On Screen
May 18, 2010I recently bought a 5800 and it has a dead pixel on the screen. I was really looking forward to getting this phone and I am now quite disappointed (and disgusted by the service I was offered here in Malta!). I returned it to the shop where I bought it and was told that I have to have at least 5 dead pixels for me to be able to change it. Is this true?
It is still under guarantee as it hasn't even been a month since the date of purchase. They tried to feed me so much bull (including: the laws do not apply for Malta and that i had to go back within the first seven days EVEN THOUGH it clearly says on the guarantee that I have a 30-day period from the date of purchase to take it back).

Apr 24, 2012I found there is a very little tiny white dot that I doubt might be a dead pixel on my iphone 4s screen. It hard to notice only when the screen turns totally black such as power off and on the iPhone. I've just bought my iPhone 4s January from the Yoobee and I covered the screen with protective film once I had bought the phone. Do I really need to get a replacement?

Jul 4, 2011i bought My Motorola Defy Cell Phone (MB255) on 26 Feb 2011 from Germany(amazon) and i have used it until this week , When i writing a message suddenly my phone screen getting dark for 2 second and after that it was reset it self and i saw middle of the Phone Displays has dead defective line , it all pixels has dead in a line i can use my phone but there is not a line middle of the phone , it is annoying Now i am living in istanbul /Turkey and , i tried the connect authorized service centre in istanbul turkey , ,there is only one service and he says therese not valid warranty in Turkey because of device bought from Germany , after that i call Turkey distributor of motorola to asking internatinal warranty , Thay said to me same thing There is not warranty at Turkey ( what is internationl warranty , Could anybody say to me ?)When i check my devices warranty paper and user Manuel (on the original box) and your website says this device under international warranty but Turkey office says differents?

When i go to option -> status -> type test and do the screen test, it does not toggle after red. The red screen is the only one I can see. Is there any other dead pixel checker out there.

Dec 10, 2012After putting my phone in my pocket last night, i took it out to realize that it wouldn't turn on. It was charged, but i tried to charge it again, hoping that would wake it--no luck. So, tried soft reset, hard reset, removing the SIM then soft and hard resets, but no luck. Now all I get is a blue screen after the initial AT&T logo. Very sad, I want to like ths phone, but it is hard to use when it is bricked (or I am waiting for a new one). I guess I am off to the AT&T store for a new one...

1) if I select only 5MP shooting, is there still a delay between shots?
2) what's the pixel length and width of a 5MP image?
3) not really a 5MP question, but how close can you get to your subject (I heard not as close as a 920)?

Dec 26, 2012I purchased a Nokia Lumia 920 white in SHARJAH on 16th December with a lot of excitement. But on 25th night the phone went dead & was not responding without a reason. I initially thought maybe its the battery drain. But that was not the case. I put it to charging the whole night & lo in the morning the phone wont switch on at all. I had a chat with the Nokia UAE hotline chat with a gentleman & online chat with a lady & all I got was a solace & conform rather than a sense of urgency to fix the problem.
I also did a little research here & on Microsoft Windows phone support for Middle East, looks like I am not the only one with this issue. There are quite a few such cases. Its quite disappointing that as a consumer I spend 2500 bucks for a defective piece of instrument & all I get to hear is that, we will look into this felt like quite dumb in fact.Since I had purchased it from a reputed (???) retailer, I went over this morning & returned back the instrument. I was told it may take more than two weeks to look at the problem & fix it & until then I am left high & dry.
So the next time you buy a NOKIA product, my advise is to be check the history on the manufacturers website for any grievances with the product by any customers before you get one especially if you are paying 2500 bucks. I am now aiting with my fingers crosses for my device to be sent to the nokia care by the retailer & returned back to me after a fix(hope it is a good fix !!!!!!). Until then I have to keep praying & hope for the best.
Nokia Lumia :: 800 Not Charging Totally Dead?
Jan 22, 2012I've been loving the Lumia 800 since I got it bar a few problems getting it turn on, but this one takes the cake. Last night I was using my phone before I went to sleep and the battery died so I put it to one side. This morning I go to charge the phone and I'm getting very very little response from the phone. Once I plug the charger in the phone vibrates twice, although the second time it appears to be getting 'cut off.' At no point is anything visible on the screen.
Tried to use the laptop and I get the USB connection sound from my PC, however it then plays the 'removed USB device' sound and there's no indication the phone's connected.
The only technique that gets any kind of response is the 'soft reset', holding the power button and bottom volume button for 10 seconds which gets my carrier's logo up on screen before it quickly dies.
As this is my only phone I'm getting rather stressed about this. I really do need my phone in the week. Would you guys suggest I take it to one of my carrier's shop or try and go through Nokia themselves?
So dissapointed because it's my favourite phone I've ever owned, and now it's useless and causing me a lot of undue stress.
HTC One M7 :: Hot Pixel On Screen - Won't Go Away / Only In Certain Backgrounds
Feb 21, 2014I have a Sprint HTC One. I have an issue with my screen. One pixel at the bottom of the screen is pink in certain backgrounds. While this is not a deal breaker, it is very annoying and I want to fix it. It reappeared after about 2 weeks of it going away. The first time it came, I was on CyanogenMod 11. Now I am on 4.4.2 100% stock Sense. I have performed a factory reset. The pixel is pink even when in recovery and fastboot (no Android OS).
I attempted a screen flush with one of those flashing screen programs on Google Play store, and ran it for separate 10 hour and 8 hour intervals, with no luck. I bought this device used and the bootloader has been unlocked, so warranty claim is probably going to cost more than it is worth.

Jan 13, 2010I had a 9500 and I found sometimes when the screen turns black after 30 seconds, it could not be activated again with pressing screen or any bottom you could find on the phone. The screen looks black, but I could find back light is on, and I have software for screen image capture, these images I captured when screen failed showed me that all the functions are working, just the screen seems out of connection with the machine. I searched several times and I found it happens while using 9500, but there is no solution. Jun 11, 2010Anyone have a CU515 or similar? I have a dead display and need to copy contacts from phone's memory to SIM. I have the manual so I know the menu selection is 8.5. I have tried these keystrokes with some variations with no luck.
