I have tried to connect my E63 using a USB cable but when I plug the cable in the phone and then in the PC, the PC doesn’t recognizes my phone and neither my phone detects that I have connected it. I have tried to setup USB connection in connectivity but although I can select it in the menu I can´t access to the setup screen.

Everytime I open the program I get the message; "Nokia Software Updater has attempted to connect to the internet but has failed three times. This could be because of a poor-quality, slow or intermittent internet connection, or restrictions due to a firewall.
If requested by your firewall, Nokia Software Updater needs the following applications to gain access to the internet:
nsl_host_process.exe
nsu_u_clienti.exe" The program will then close down.
I have a good, steady internet connection (10mb) and all firewalls are off.
I recently just got my pre-order done and when I went to check the order status I got something saying "application failed to connect." Anyone else encounter this?

I renamed Helvetica.ttf to HelveticaOLD.ttf and then dropped in the new font whose name was ALSO Helvetica.ttf.However, the system font hasn't changed. I thought It may have not transferred correctly, so I did it again and it still didn't work.So just to be sure I downloaded the font to my desktop from my phone and it shows the correct font in the preview.What am I doing wrong?

I just updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 thinking this would work but I am still having this issue. I don't want to have to use my data whilst at work all the time!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded some new software for the phone, the software update failed and then my phone was stuck telling me to connect to Itunes. I tried holding down the home and power button to get the dfu mode for restore, I've done this a few times now, it goes black after doing it and then goes back to the connect to itunes screen when I do it again. My computer is recognising the phone as it makes a noise when I plug it in however Itunes is not picking up the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the Bell Mobility Atrix. For the most part it works fine. However, lately, this is what's going on. First I should mention that I have the Android Twitter app (from Twitter) installed on the phone and I can log in to Twitter, send/receive messages just fine with that. If, however, I go to Accounts > Add Account, then select Twitter in the Motoblur section (where all the other social media icons also appear), enter my credentials, I get a message stating Success!, Then, if I go to Messaging from the Home Screen, I see the Twitter icon, however it has a yellow exclamation point through it, and the message "Failed Connection".
So I cannot see/read/send messages to/from my Twitter inbox using the Universal Inbox (again, Twitter works just fine through the regular Android Twitter app). I have done all the normal troubleshooting, i.e. removed battery & SIM card, replaced them. Uninstalled and removed my accounts, rebooted phone. Reinstalled app and also re-added my Motoblur Twitter account, and each time it says "Failed Connection". I don't see online where I can configure my Universal Inbox accounts, only on the phone.
Like many of you , I'm having WiFi connection problems with my new BB9700.When I am out of the house, I can see my BB finding local WiFI hotspots and I can connect to them immediately.However, when I get home, my BB doesn't connect to my WiFi, returning the following error message:

Reason: Failed to obtain an IP address
I have downloaded the latest BB software (now running version 5.0.0.351), cold booted everything in sight (router, phone, coffee table and the cat) but still get the same error. My foot hurts, the cat isn't talking to me and I still cannot connect at home ! Of course my Carrier's connection works perfectly as does their outrageous fee structure... (They are 3G, or Hutchinson Telecom by another name.)My WiFi service provider (PCCW / Netvigator Hong Kong) has checked the setup of my system and reports that everything is working correctly. I can connect my PS3, my laptop, my Nokia E71 without any problem and the hotline guy can see when I connect each of them to the system.I have tried different combinations of switching the usual options on and off on the BB but still can't get a connection.
I am connected to Wi-Fi but unable to connect to the internet like FB,Yahoo or other websites. My sister used to connect to wifi but now that I am using her handset, I cannot do so.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Blackberry Torch. I am trying to get it to connect with my home router. My last Torch connected just fine, so I know it is possible. Also I have four other computers that are connected over this wi-fi network.I go to the "Manage Connections" section and put in the SSID as well as the WEP code. It tries to find it and then just comes back with "Failed to Connect to the Network" with no other reason or information. I got the 10-digit WEP code by logging in to my router and looking up the code on the Wireless Secuirty page. This is also the WEP code my other four computers are using, so I believe that is not the problem.

Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get my phone to connect up to SIP but I keep getting error messages. I can use the same connections I am feeding it within fring without any issue, but it just won't allow me to connect using the built-in SIP client.
Can anyone offer some words of wisdom as to what might be going on? I did upgrade my firmware to some 400.x version which, may or may not have killed the deal.
I've spoken with two of my SIP providers and both of them are stumped. There are a billion reports of Nokia users having this issue. I called technical support at Nokia but they were no help at all. I think there are some language barriers that just aren't clicking.
Everything else on the phone seems just fine. Just can't connect using SIP. I would just bite the bullet and use fring for my VoIP calls but I really like how the SIP client is integrated right into the OS of the phone.
I've bought a N97 mini and I'm very happy with it.However in the past week until now, I can't connect to the internet unless i connect via wireless lan.With GPRS i can't.I open the browser, it shows me on the top left corner the phone is trying to make a connection and then hangs up after 3seconds.
1 - I've check the definitions with my service provider
2 - I have tha latest firmware
3 - I have made a hard reset..
Just when I think the E75 cannot get any worse (it has slightly worse reception than 2 tin cans and a bit of wet string!!), Nokia send me a OS upgrade that will "result in improved performance"! Tragically, it continuously comes up with the great message "Installation failed due to lost connectivity; do not disconnect USB connection during installation"! Now, whilst I am not the sharpest tool in the shed,even I can see that disconnecting the cable would not be condusive to a successful software upgrade, so of course I am not doing that! I am about to wind the clock back over 10 years and resort to my trusty 6150.

They all failed to refresh. I found out when I went to go download something to no avail.
I got the Nokia e63 in April 2010. One of the things I did first was:
1. Update Ovi Store app on the phone
2. Ran Nokia Maps on the phone (applicaiton already on the phone) or downloaded Ovi Maps from the Ovi Store - cant remember.
3. Regardless of how I did (2) I managed to install country maps for specific areas (US New York, UK etc) by using Ovi PC Suite
So all ok so far. Now I started putting more applications and games on the phone but it kept getting slower and slower - to a point it would not render the screen properly or mix two screens into one. I have a 2 gig memory card in it with only less than 20% in use - the phone memory had over 80Meg free. So really could not understand why it performed so badly. Anyway I spent several hours resetting the phoning and doing all the above again - but OVi Maps does not install any more (I get Installation Failed message).
To add more headache - the internet was very slow and I had to attempt several times to update Ovi Store after each reset - finally gave up and had to use a WLAN connection. When I go to the Ovi Store web site on my pc and find Ovi Maps - there is now a message saying its not available for e63. Yet that was not what I recall because I have installed Ovi Maps on the phone before and installed the additional country maps on several occassions (the last one being as recent as May 2010 - last month) All of a sudden Ovi Maps is not compatible with the Nokia E63? The Ovi Store app on the phone gives no indication of compatibilty issue with the phone - so you can keep downloading it and using up your internet allowance and it keeps failing to install without giving any useful message.
I have a Nokia N97 with Map Version 0.1.24.114 installed (clicking About in Maps also shows v3.03 so I am not sure which one is the one i should refer to). I get a text notification from Nokia saying I have a map update so I check software update and indeed version 3.04(165) is there but I cannot update> Please advise. My navigation and turn-by-turn guidance (as well as weather, lonely planet and events) all work but I want to have the latest maps version for accuracy.

After about an hour trying to reach the settings menu to delete some data off that drive, i thought turning the phone on and off might help but i was wrong it now comes up with phone start up failed. contact the retailer. Can i fix this myself or should i just take my phone back to the shop and does my guarantee cover this seems it was a nokia update?

I have since updated to firmware v2.1, done a hard reset and reformatted my device. Attempting an over the air update get the message "update failed"!
