View 13 RepliesI used SSH to connect to my phone and swap fonts manually. I renamed Helvetica.ttf to HelveticaOLD.ttf and then dropped in the new font whose name was ALSO Helvetica.ttf.However, the system font hasn't changed. I thought It may have not transferred correctly, so I did it again and it still didn't work.So just to be sure I downloaded the font to my desktop from my phone and it shows the correct font in the preview. What am I doing wrong?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded some new software for the phone, the software update failed and then my phone was stuck telling me to connect to Itunes. I tried holding down the home and power button to get the dfu mode for restore, I've done this a few times now, it goes black after doing it and then goes back to the connect to itunes screen when I do it again. My computer is recognising the phone as it makes a noise when I plug it in however Itunes is not picking up the phone.
Info:iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
I have new N900. whenever I used to open the Application manager and was looking for updates, it was starting to check but after some time i was getting msg that there is some problem in some catalogue. View 5 Replies View RelatedI Just Installed BlackBerry Desktop Manager V5.01 and it wouldn't pick up my phone even though it's connected. I tried accessing the the BlackBerry Device Manager and it says 'The application has failed to start because XmlLite.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem.' - Of which I have done twice already. Is there a problem with this version of Desktop manager or any resolutions to fix this? I'm trying to upgrade my device to OS6.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found some applications, such as foursquare and Dropian, cannot be installed on my E7. Other applications, such as Gravity and Y-Browser, were installed without a problem though. I tried both of Ovi Store on the device itself and Ovi Store on PC, but both failed. I am not sure, but I guess it might be related to a Qt issue because Dropian is a Qt-based application. For your reference, my device firmware is up-to-date.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNokia have finally updated 5800 FW but i am unable to download it because the NSU isn't working correctly. Everytime I open the program I get the message; "Nokia Software Updater has attempted to connect to the internet but has failed three times. This could be because of a poor-quality, slow or intermittent internet connection, or restrictions due to a firewall.
If requested by your firewall, Nokia Software Updater needs the following applications to gain access to the internet:
nsl_host_process.exe
nsu_u_clienti.exe" The program will then close down.
I have a good, steady internet connection (10mb) and all firewalls are off.
I have the Bell Mobility Atrix. For the most part it works fine. However, lately, this is what's going on. First I should mention that I have the Android Twitter app (from Twitter) installed on the phone and I can log in to Twitter, send/receive messages just fine with that. If, however, I go to Accounts > Add Account, then select Twitter in the Motoblur section (where all the other social media icons also appear), enter my credentials, I get a message stating Success!, Then, if I go to Messaging from the Home Screen, I see the Twitter icon, however it has a yellow exclamation point through it, and the message "Failed Connection".
So I cannot see/read/send messages to/from my Twitter inbox using the Universal Inbox (again, Twitter works just fine through the regular Android Twitter app). I have done all the normal troubleshooting, i.e. removed battery & SIM card, replaced them. Uninstalled and removed my accounts, rebooted phone. Reinstalled app and also re-added my Motoblur Twitter account, and each time it says "Failed Connection". I don't see online where I can configure my Universal Inbox accounts, only on the phone.
I have 9300 and using OS6...but somehow I am unable to connect BlackBerry Calendar Application with Facebook... the option is just greyed....

View 2 Replies View RelatedLike many of you , I'm having WiFi connection problems with my new BB9700.When I am out of the house, I can see my BB finding local WiFI hotspots and I can connect to them immediately. However, when I get home, my BB doesn't connect to my WiFi, returning the following error message:
Unable to Connect
Reason: Failed to obtain an IP address
I have downloaded the latest BB software (now running version 5.0.0.351), cold booted everything in sight (router, phone, coffee table and the cat) but still get the same error. My foot hurts, the cat isn't talking to me and I still cannot connect at home ! Of course my Carrier's connection works perfectly as does their outrageous fee structure... (They are 3G, or Hutchinson Telecom by another name.)My WiFi service provider (PCCW / Netvigator Hong Kong) has checked the setup of my system and reports that everything is working correctly. I can connect my PS3, my laptop, my Nokia E71 without any problem and the hotline guy can see when I connect each of them to the system.I have tried different combinations of switching the usual options on and off on the BB but still can't get a connection.
I have Nokia 6303 classic mobile. I updated my firmware version to 10 . View 12 Replies View RelatedSo last week or so, my phone took a bit of a swim. I did the usual, put it in rice and let it dry out. Then I turned it on to find it continously rebooting itself. Seeing as how I had no idea what was happening, I brought it to a shop to get it fixed. A week later I got it back and basically it was doing the same thing, only at the end of the reboot cycle the white screen would come up, then repeat. I googled this and saw that my blackberry was "nuked." There was an issue though; my phone had been totally wiped of handheld software. So I redownloaded it, then followed the steps to repairing it. But it would always stop at the second step saying "application loader was unable to connect to the device" when reconnecting to the jvc. Is there anything I can do or is my phone totally done?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Blackberry 9900 smartphone with OS version7.0 Bundle 1346 (V7.0.0.261, Platform 5.0.0.464)and i was initially able to connect to internet via apps and browser but after a while, i am unable to connect to internet via the application in the phone such as Facebook, Twitter, What's App and etc. I try 3G and wifi with no success but weird thing is i am still able to do web browsing via the blackberry native web browser. Have Google and found user with similar problem in the link [URL]The only way that i can able to use the app again is by taking out the battery and put it back to reboot the device. Then i will be able to use it for 5-8 hours where this problem will happen again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy computer keeps saying "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please reconnect your device, enter the password, if required, and click retry." when I try to update the phone. The issue before was that the phone kept shutting off and would get stuck on the display loading bar everytime. I went to the AT&T store in town and they told me I needed to update it. I tried that and now it won't even turn on. The red light flashes a few times and then it stops and gives me the above message. What should I do?
