When I go into ovi store from phone(5230) the download starts and then "instalation failed" message appears, this has happened on all apps (tried 6).Also when i go into Software updates I get Internal error when updating.I have re-installed the nokia software, still no use.
View 4 RepliesMy 5800xm has v30.0.011, not able to install the 3.3 version of Ovi Maps. It says the device software is un-compatible, therefore it cannot be installed. Do I need to wait for an update, or is it possible to install the latest navigation maps, if yes please elucidate.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFor some weeks now im getting "installation fails" message when trying to install some of the software from OVI or from downloaded files. For example, Nokia Sleeping Screen. It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed. Some apps for example Spotify installs perfectly, but here the bottom window don't appear at all. I have made a full reset, problem remains. I did a 3 finger reset, problem remains.

But i have a problem with it ..... the problem that when i download any thing from nokia OVI Store from my mobile like: Games, apps and videos when download finished and starting to install the games or the apps it's say's: "installation failed" and when i redownload it again nothing change and keep saying "installation failed" ........ and i noted that when i install app ( themes, apps and games ) on my mobile by ovi suite or by file manager it also say's to me "Expired Certificat" even if i signed this apps but it alwyas say's "Expired Certificat"....... for this problem i did: hard reset - format my mobile - format my sd card - update my mobile to v40 - but the problem never stops to return in a few hours ..... then i find out that when i need to install any app on my mobile (by ovi suite or ovi store in my mobile or file manager) i have to switch off the mobile and turn it on again to install what ever i want ...... so Plz help me out

I had a problem where I was unable to install applications from Ovi Store to C7. I finally found out that the my C7 had two versions of Nokia Smart Installer installed. After removing the old version (required reboot to be able to do that) the installation started working.

I just bought an iPhone 4S. I tried to sync all my favorite apps from iTunes to my new iPhone 4S i just bought. But I don't know what happen that some of apps successfully sync to iPhone 4S and some of the app said "failed to install" on my iPhone screen.

When i click on my apps or games menu it says operation failed. i was looking through the forums and found a solution except that solution was for when you could actually access the folder and only when you select a specific app/game it said operation failed. i cant access the folder at all. is there anyway at all to fix this problem for free without having to resort to that wotanserver thing? im not being cheap, i just think its rubbish to be charged anything at all to fix a problem like this when it is the manufacturers fault for selling faulty phones which all have a common problem which isn't caused by a users ill-treatment. and another question, why cant i seem to find software to flash it myself without that wotan thing? i mean, surely its just software that you run. someone must have cracked it?

Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get my phone to connect up to SIP but I keep getting error messages. I can use the same connections I am feeding it within fring without any issue, but it just won't allow me to connect using the built-in SIP client.
Can anyone offer some words of wisdom as to what might be going on? I did upgrade my firmware to some 400.x version which, may or may not have killed the deal.
I've spoken with two of my SIP providers and both of them are stumped. There are a billion reports of Nokia users having this issue. I called technical support at Nokia but they were no help at all. I think there are some language barriers that just aren't clicking.
Everything else on the phone seems just fine. Just can't connect using SIP. I would just bite the bullet and use fring for my VoIP calls but I really like how the SIP client is integrated right into the OS of the phone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedJust when I think the E75 cannot get any worse (it has slightly worse reception than 2 tin cans and a bit of wet string!!), Nokia send me a OS upgrade that will "result in improved performance"! Tragically, it continuously comes up with the great message "Installation failed due to lost connectivity; do not disconnect USB connection during installation"! Now, whilst I am not the sharpest tool in the shed,even I can see that disconnecting the cable would not be condusive to a successful software upgrade, so of course I am not doing that! I am about to wind the clock back over 10 years and resort to my trusty 6150.

They all failed to refresh. I found out when I went to go download something to no avail.
I got the Nokia e63 in April 2010. One of the things I did first was:
1. Update Ovi Store app on the phone
2. Ran Nokia Maps on the phone (applicaiton already on the phone) or downloaded Ovi Maps from the Ovi Store - cant remember.
3. Regardless of how I did (2) I managed to install country maps for specific areas (US New York, UK etc) by using Ovi PC Suite
So all ok so far. Now I started putting more applications and games on the phone but it kept getting slower and slower - to a point it would not render the screen properly or mix two screens into one. I have a 2 gig memory card in it with only less than 20% in use - the phone memory had over 80Meg free. So really could not understand why it performed so badly. Anyway I spent several hours resetting the phoning and doing all the above again - but OVi Maps does not install any more (I get Installation Failed message).
To add more headache - the internet was very slow and I had to attempt several times to update Ovi Store after each reset - finally gave up and had to use a WLAN connection. When I go to the Ovi Store web site on my pc and find Ovi Maps - there is now a message saying its not available for e63. Yet that was not what I recall because I have installed Ovi Maps on the phone before and installed the additional country maps on several occassions (the last one being as recent as May 2010 - last month) All of a sudden Ovi Maps is not compatible with the Nokia E63? The Ovi Store app on the phone gives no indication of compatibilty issue with the phone - so you can keep downloading it and using up your internet allowance and it keeps failing to install without giving any useful message.
I have a Nokia N97 with Map Version 0.1.24.114 installed (clicking About in Maps also shows v3.03 so I am not sure which one is the one i should refer to). I get a text notification from Nokia saying I have a map update so I check software update and indeed version 3.04(165) is there but I cannot update> Please advise. My navigation and turn-by-turn guidance (as well as weather, lonely planet and events) all work but I want to have the latest maps version for accuracy.

After about an hour trying to reach the settings menu to delete some data off that drive, i thought turning the phone on and off might help but i was wrong it now comes up with phone start up failed. contact the retailer. Can i fix this myself or should i just take my phone back to the shop and does my guarantee cover this seems it was a nokia update?
