Nokia :: Enter Button On Screen Keyboard
Jan 27, 2010I cannot find the equivalent of the enter button on the on-screen keyboard. Where is it? I always have to slide the physical keyboard open to press enter. It gets kind of annoying.

BB Curve :: 8520's Keyboard Has Started To Play Up / Wont Send With Enter Button On BBM
Jan 1, 2011My 8520's keyboard has started to play up.It wont send with the enter button on BBM.If I dont lock it and the screen goes black, i have to hold either the power button or the middle button to get the screen back.My alt button wont let me hold and type, I have to press it individually for each different symbol or letter.I've restored my whole phone but no difference.

Jun 21, 2010My touch screen has been playing up for several weeks nowWhen I try to touch the main screen it will select an area to the right of where I am touching, i.e. clicking the dial pad button will actually select the contacts button, clicking 'answer' on the keypad will put the caller on hold etc etc. Other times the scren will not respon at all.
The funny thing is, when I remove the phone's plastic casing, the touch screen works fine! Similarly, if i push the top part of the case to the sides (so it is not in contact with the digitiser) the touch screen will work again until my phone goes on lock and then when I unlock it the touch screen is stuffed again.
I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. On one hand its as if the plastic casing of the phone is rubbing (putting pressure on) against the side of the touchscreen and causing it to not work (hardware) while on the other hand it could be software in that the problem keeps happening everytime the screen goes to sleep (it's not initialising right).The other problem which started at the exact same time is that the green button is not working sometimes when I try to answer calls or turn off my alarm.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? I've already done a hard reset. The next step is to buy a new digitizer/plastic case and see if that solves the problem.

Jan 20, 2010I recently upgraded my Nokia software to OVI 2, or whatever its called. I will admit, it does look a bit better than the previous version, seems a bit nicer to use, and I like the fact that music, syncing and updating, is all now done from the same application.
Its about time I didn't have to have 3 separate applications installed for my one cellphone.
But I am having problems.
1. I use my phone to connect to the web, and within the first few minutes I was notified that OVI 2 has stopped working, and needs to close etc. I mean, I hardly used the app, and it crashes just from connecting to the web!?
2. I did a software update for my E63, and halfway through the update, OVI threw up an error and said the device was disconnected. I was nowhere near the USB cable. Thankfully, the software update must have completed, because the phone restarted, and when I checked my software version it was up to 2.00.21.
3. So, I unplugged the phone, plugged it back in to restore my contacts, etc. which worked fine, except I don't have any contacts. Why did the calender entries restore, but not the contacts? Luckily, I have all my numbers saved on my SIM anyways, so I just copied them from there.
Did I do something wrong during the backup/restore?
4. As I write this now, I thought I'd plug my phone in, and just check if I could do the restore again, but the phone no longer comes up with that selection menu allowing me to select PC Suite. I decided to restart my phone.
It has now frozen on the screen where you enter your PIN.

At first I thought it was a hardware or screen protector issues, but having tried other applications and UC browser, I did not encounter this phantom phenomenon.

May 25, 2010Yesterday, my mute button decided to no longer work when trying to unlock my keypad ( I have os 5.0). I consequently have to take out my battery and restart the phone to get the keypad unlocked. She was on a Vodaphone contract.I removed my Pay-as-you-go sim card from my old Motarola and fitted it, everything fine, 8900 up and running. All my contacts appeared but when I go to add or edit a contact , I cannot enter the Add Contact screen, I can open any of the contacts (edit dos'nt work either) but cannot open said Add Contact screen!!

T mobile told me that they could not repair the old one and therefore it was replaced with a new one - the keyboard and lock button has now stopped working on this some of the time meaning it can't be used as I cannot unlock it. Jul 1, 2010It keeps telling me that the c: memory is full and that i should delete some items, however when i try to, there is hardly anything on the c:. Also the phone only works sporadically for about five minutes after switching on and after that the menu button and the touch screen do not work properly and i am unable to make any calls or texts, but can still recieve calls.
Also it is telling me that the sim memory is full and remains full despite deleting text messages. Has anyone else experienced such problems or know how i can fix these problems?
