I was hoping someone could help me Ive had my N97 for nearly 9 months now and when i use the keyboard the screen goes black and stays black. Ive tried to restore the factory settings but it asks for a lock code and i do not know this.
View 6 RepliesI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
I bought a Nokia 5530 in Xtra Vision recently and I've been having minor problems.. First of all i was sending a message and the screen randomly went black and red lines came across the screen for a few seconds then it went back to my message .. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?

Any ideas on how to get it back? the phone still works I can receive and make calls I just can't see any thing. I have tried turning it off and on, removing the battery and waiting before replacing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia- c6-00 and its screen is black , the phone still turns on and off,when i touch the screen it vibrates, but i can not do anything like text or call because i can't see what im hitting and im not sure that its responding, i tried resetting it by taking out the battery, i managed to update the software without the screen, and i tried the reset codes in the sliding keyboard but nothing worked. is there anyway to fix it myself or do i have to take it to where i bought it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 16GB Nokia n96, and it was working completely fine till a couple weeks back the screen went blank, so i assumed it had switched itself off. I took the battery out and tried switching it back on, but the screen didn't come on. The phone vibrated once like normal on start-up, then the keypad lit up and the buttons on the slide-up bit, but nothing can be seen on the screen. I can also hear the beeps when i press different buttons, and also I could remember off by heart where my music player was on it, so i pressed the right buttons and my music actually started playing!

Sometimes if I slide it enough times the screen is drawn correctly but only the top left corner. Other times it just sits there on a black (no backlight) screen. Any reason why it's doing this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently I purchased an E75 off of Ebay. The problem is, whenever I try to utilize the main camera, all I see is blackness. The viewfinder does not seem to work at all. Scrolling through the camera toolbar takes a while and tooltips remain on the screen without fading away as they supposedly should. I have tried taking picture regardless of the issue, but I recieved an error message which says "Unexpected error has occurred. Restart your phone." or something similar. I get the same result in Video Mode.I have done hard resets and firmware updates to the latest firmware possible, but to no avail. What could it be? Would I need to take it to a Nokia Care Center?
