Is there a problem with this service today? I have noticed that since this morning email synchronization is not working. I cannot log onto the nokia email website either.Does anybody know where one can check the service status of this service?

I have pop3 email abc@aaf-me.com which is configured in my Black berry and the same account also configured in my laptop. When i read email in blackberry, it should automatically marked as read in laptop.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently got a BlackBerry Bold 9780, I am used to have smartphones with my company email all the time, changes I do in my desktop/server I want them in my smartphone and viceversa, we don't use M$ Outlook in the company, we have IMAP accounts.This is, maybe, the most basic feature of a smartphone but until now it seems that BlackBerry just has a 1-way email synchronization, changes that you do in your desktop/server do not reflect in your BlackBerry, if this is true the only thing I will miss wil be the BB messenger.

I've had my BB Curve 8520 for about a year and until recently it's worked perfectly. For about the last month or two, it has stopped synchronising my Outlook Contacts and Calendar. It goes through the process when I plug the handset in but the data does not transfer. It's probably not synchronising other data too but I only use it for calendar/contacts. I've moved from Virgin to Sky as my broadband provider during this period. There was a recent BB upgrade but the problem was there before this took place? I seem to only have an option to sychronise giving priority to either the mobile or the PC or to create duplications if differences are found, none of this is satisfactory as I enter data on both and need true two way synchronisation. I've also noticed that birthdays from Facebook are now appearing on my mobile (not something I want) and appointments are appearing in various different colours.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.
How do I synch the contacts from my Berry to my google gmail account? When I go to my contacts and use options I have a contact list of unknown which has my contacts that I use for my bold. When I go to the unknown list under Wireless Synchronization it is grayed out and says unavailable. I can't figure out how to synch them. I want to back up my contacts online/gmail and be able to download them to future phones.
View 8 Replies View Relatedi'm using a nokia n8 phone and i used to keep a copy of my photos and videos on my pc using nokia suite, i just clicked on the gallery sync. button and it was done.i recently bought a new memory card and i started downloading videos by the (Internet downloader) app. i have now like 7gb of videos on my memory card.the problem is that now every time i try to sync. the gallery, nokia suite makes a copy of all downloaded videos on my computer. is it possible to set nokia suite to sync. only the photos and the videos taken by the camera and ignore the downloaded videos?

Last night when I loaded some new files into it, and asked the system to refresh, it took a long time, all the while showing a deliberating sign. I finally stopped it, and found to my horror, that instead of the addition of the new files, the size of the mp3 library had been reduced from around 1300 items to 50. The stranger thing is how come the remaining 50 remained--some of the 50 are placed in exactly the same file container as arranged from the computer-format.
I took some time to move the files around in the computer-format (as can be seen there, all files still exist), and got the result that most of the 50 also disappeared (from the cellphone-format), though leaving a title that canāt be clicked open (like a company with telephone numbers but no one answering them, and a working place where no one works! By contrast, the first great majority to disappear leave no title). In a way, this makes more sense, since the disappearing pattern becomes less random and inexplicable. But some still remain, and the others in the same file container do not.
How to solve this bewildering and annoying glitch. (to my ignorant knowledge of digital things, it seems most likely to be a virus attack.)
Downloaded MfE 3.00.050 to my E71. Found that periodic synchronization first deletes the contents of my in box and sent box, and then downloads emails from the last day. (I do have the sync setting for emails for the last day). In other words, every x minutes I'm downloading a lot of data. Very inconvenient as it takes several minutes to sync, and also very expensive to sync while roaming on travel out of the country.
Also, my prior version of MfE would update the read flag on emails. Now a periodic sync now ignores whatever was done on my phone, and every x minutes I now have all the emails I read showing up as unread. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried both the server wins and phone wins settings, and there does not seem to be a difference.

I removed pc suite, ovi suite, pc connection, cable software etc.
I delete all the data in c:program filescommon files; c:documents and settings<username>application data

About every second time I synchronize my N96 with both my PC and my contacts on ovi.com, ovi suite states an error. ("Synchronization failed ...")
In general, synchronizing contacts between ovi suite and ovi.com is taking ages.
I think reliabiliy and speed of this feature still needs A LOT of improvement...
(Although that applies to some other features as well... for example bluetooth connection, which is completely useless for me: /t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/bluetooth-sync-extremely-slow/m-p/656359)
Each time I sync my 5800 NAM Xpressmusic with Ovi Suite, it resets all ringtones for either groups or individuals. I am not synchronizing all items. I am only synchronizing Contacts, Messaging, Calendar and Notes.

I newly installed the latest Ovi Suite 2.2.0.245 and it crashes when synchronisation with Outlook 2003 is initiated. Syncing the messages works. OS is Vista 32-bit. I could send a dump-file to the Nokia support, if desired.

With this it is possible to synchronize messages, music and pictures. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have E63 and I have been using Nokia Email on my phone a few months now without any problems. (Have been using Gmail and Ovi mail) However last two weeks it somehow stopped working properly.
1. I can still send emails properly.
2. "Sent" folders sync without problems. Also, for example if I send an email from Ovi website from PC, I can see my message in the Sent folder.
3. Mysterious empty "Inbox" although I haven't deleted messages. They just disappeared. And no new messages come in. I tested a few times by sending emails from PC but nothing.
I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone. When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts.
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up. Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download.
i have many issues with the phone that i'm hoping someone can address.
#1: i can't get the facebook app!!! i downloaded it once, had to uninstall it, and now i can't re download the app. i contacted nokia and they didn't do anything about, yet they got my email. i tried completely resetting the phone, making a new ovi account, trying to download it on the pc, and nothing works. can someone please send the app to ? thank you
#2: is there a Internet app that doesn't **bleep**? i've tried watching videos over Internet a few different ways, and no matter what, the quality is always awful, even over wifi.
#3: the email app doesn't work. i click on it, and it just crashes right away. i've tried taking the battery out, resetting the phone, and nothing fixes it. what should i do
At first I set up my email just like I had it on my E71. I have 3 accounts on nokia messaging. It worked for about 3 weeks, until one day I just stopped recieving emails. The mailboxes would no connect. When I open the mail box, the circle in the right hand corner, is always Red, used to be green, but now its red.
So I try to connect manually, I go to options and click connect. But it won't connect, I try to synchronize by clicking send and receive but nothing, its simply won't connect to the mail box. I think it might have something to do with the access point. This new E72 is really frustrating me. I miss my E71's simplicity and reliability. Anyone know how I can fix my email problem? This is useless to me without push email.
I loaded a software update and now I have stopped receiving emails. Is there something that I've missed that I need to do to get it back?

Maybe related to some app downloading at the weekend? Just sent a 2nd test message to gmail - again not appeared on phone.

Now every time I open up the email widget, it keeps asking me for my password and says login unsuccessful when I enter the password and try to login.Just an hour earlier, it was working fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe "Email for Nokia 10 Accounts" also called Nokia Messaging does not work after firmware upgrade.I upgraded my E63 firmware from 400.21.13 to 410.21.10 (the latest). After upgrade, I installed the Email software, ver 9.07(2), from Ovi store. The problem starts after I entered my email address and password. The software imported the email account to the Communication --> Messaging folder (where you used to read your text message). Before upgrading, the email software manages all my email accouts and synchronise up to 10 emails. Now that nice email software and user friendly interface no longer show up. Instead it uses that poor design Communication --> Messaging folder. It only allows maximum 2 email acct. auto retrieval and NOT working with yahoo mail.
After updating the software on my nokia n97 mini, my email account stopped working. It does not respond at all when I want it to connect. I tried setting up a new account and that did not work. It does not allow me to change the settings.....

I have been using Nokia email messaging for a while now but suddenly today it is asking me for a Password. I understand that this should be the password for the first email account that I set up on the E71. I have tried this as well as the password for the other account with no success.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWith Nokia Email on my E63, it was a seperate program and it had true push email. While on my Nuron, it just sets up the account for you inside of your Messaging folder, and there is no true push email. What's the deal? Is this a problem with all s60 v5 devices?
I'm currently using emoze to substitute it, but its a little buggy, and would like to have push email back!
