I have E63 and I have been using Nokia Email on my phone a few months now without any problems. (Have been using Gmail and Ovi mail) However last two weeks it somehow stopped working properly.
1. I can still send emails properly.
2. "Sent" folders sync without problems. Also, for example if I send an email from Ovi website from PC, I can see my message in the Sent folder.
3. Mysterious empty "Inbox" although I haven't deleted messages. They just disappeared. And no new messages come in. I tested a few times by sending emails from PC but nothing.
I just got my new Nokia E72, happy with it overall, just a couple of niggles (apart from the build quality), which I'd like to check with more owners of this phone. When I press the EMail shortcut key, on the top right side of the keypad, this shortcut doesn't open the general EMail "folder" where I can see my GMail, Yahoo!, and Hotmail email accounts, instead it opens my Yahoo! email account directly, and I have to go back to the general "folder" to see my other email accounts.
I've tried playing with all the different options, but so far cannot make it work as I think it should be, which would be to go to the main EMail "folder", so I can choose which EMail account I want to open/synchronise, and not just opening the first EMail account I set up. Also, is not downloading the "Sent Items" folder, even though I chose "All" in What to download.
Is there a problem with this service today? I have noticed that since this morning email synchronization is not working. I cannot log onto the nokia email website either.Does anybody know where one can check the service status of this service?
i have many issues with the phone that i'm hoping someone can address.
#1: i can't get the facebook app!!! i downloaded it once, had to uninstall it, and now i can't re download the app. i contacted nokia and they didn't do anything about, yet they got my email. i tried completely resetting the phone, making a new ovi account, trying to download it on the pc, and nothing works. can someone please send the app to ? thank you
#2: is there a Internet app that doesn't **bleep**? i've tried watching videos over Internet a few different ways, and no matter what, the quality is always awful, even over wifi.
#3: the email app doesn't work. i click on it, and it just crashes right away. i've tried taking the battery out, resetting the phone, and nothing fixes it. what should i do
At first I set up my email just like I had it on my E71. I have 3 accounts on nokia messaging. It worked for about 3 weeks, until one day I just stopped recieving emails. The mailboxes would no connect. When I open the mail box, the circle in the right hand corner, is always Red, used to be green, but now its red.
So I try to connect manually, I go to options and click connect. But it won't connect, I try to synchronize by clicking send and receive but nothing, its simply won't connect to the mail box. I think it might have something to do with the access point. This new E72 is really frustrating me. I miss my E71's simplicity and reliability. Anyone know how I can fix my email problem? This is useless to me without push email.
from 13th Feb 2010 2pm onwards am not getting any mails in my fone. am using Nokia e72 already configured my mails. personal and gmail, yahoo, hotmail, yesterday onwards am not getting any mails. am not getting any error message. email also connected with web. no synchronizing. just connected. unable to send and receive message. my data plan is working perfect another web application is working and able to browse in web. still it is not pushing the mail. all the mails not working. Nokia Messaging Service got any bug ? or they holded the service form some time? I'm from india bangalore. please somebody respond me and do the needful warm regards dev
I've found this really useful since getting my new 5800 XPressMusic last week.However this morning I received a acknowledgement reply from Nokia support into my gmail account - but nothing was announced on the phone.Tried "Send & Receive" but that hasn't worked either.Was working fine last week.Any ideas please ? Maybe related to some app downloading at the weekend? Just sent a 2nd test message to gmail - again not appeared on phone.
The Nokia Messaging email widget just stopped working at 5pm Pacific Daylight Time on Tuesday, July 27. Now every time I open up the email widget, it keeps asking me for my password and says login unsuccessful when I enter the password and try to login.Just an hour earlier, it was working fine.
The "Email for Nokia 10 Accounts" also called Nokia Messaging does not work after firmware upgrade.I upgraded my E63 firmware from 400.21.13 to 410.21.10 (the latest). After upgrade, I installed the Email software, ver 9.07(2), from Ovi store. The problem starts after I entered my email address and password. The software imported the email account to the Communication --> Messaging folder (where you used to read your text message). Before upgrading, the email software manages all my email accouts and synchronise up to 10 emails. Now that nice email software and user friendly interface no longer show up. Instead it uses that poor design Communication --> Messaging folder. It only allows maximum 2 email acct. auto retrieval and NOT working with yahoo mail.
After updating the software on my nokia n97 mini, my email account stopped working. It does not respond at all when I want it to connect. I tried setting up a new account and that did not work. It does not allow me to change the settings.....

I have been using Nokia email messaging for a while now but suddenly today it is asking me for a Password. I understand that this should be the password for the first email account that I set up on the E71. I have tried this as well as the password for the other account with no success.
With Nokia Email on my E63, it was a seperate program and it had true push email. While on my Nuron, it just sets up the account for you inside of your Messaging folder, and there is no true push email. What's the deal? Is this a problem with all s60 v5 devices?
I'm currently using emoze to substitute it, but its a little buggy, and would like to have push email back!

The email client on my N8 with Belle suddenly stopped working. I have configured my email with IMAP (Standard not OVI!) and it was working OK until a couple of days ago. Now I can not retrieve/send any email - I always get the message: "Unable to sign in. Try again.". I also tried and removed this particular account and added it once again (as a matter of fact I did this about 10 times!!!) but still no emails are shown. Of course this same mail is working perfectly on all of my PCs and notebooks.
With the update of Microsoft applications email client is not working. Two icons namely..freestyleemail and email widget..have cropped up...and unfortunately none are working as on clicking icons dpn't open or response.
Recently i've been having problems with the email that i've set up on my phone. I can send email but cannot receive it.I have a blackberry 8330 curve and am with verizon with V4.5.0.I've been reading other posts on othere forums of people having the same issue but they didn't really help at all.I did the battery pull many many times.I just don't know what wrong with it. also my world app doesn't show any application installed. i can deal with that once i get my email to work..
I just bought a lumia 610, and it was working great until I got to setting up my mail.Whatever I try, it just says 'Oops! We're having a problem that we can't solve at the moment. Try again later.' I've been trying all day to sign in with my gmail account, and nothing happens (POP and IMAP enabled). I managed to log in with Facebook, but the "what's new" section never updates.Plus, I get a message saying error code:80070490 with Facebook chat .

Im using nokia 5530 and usually it goes slow and some of its apps stop working like music player hangs but remain playing. it slows down while sending or receiving messages even when messages are in outbox. Its RAM remains 80mb full even when no application running only 40-45mb is available. Sometimes its headphones' player buttons stop working and start working after restart.
Yesterday i successfully upgraded my E52 to latest firmware - 031.012. After upgrade i removed all previous email accounts (1 MFE, 1 pop and 1 imap) and start a new setup.i have to mention, that i double checked that the email client version has updated to 2.1.0 (the old one was 2.0.5). There are also several visual changes during the email setup.
Now here is my issue: I recreated my exchange email account and it works perfectly, but when i try to add a second email account (Email->New), choose one of the providers from the list (Windows Live for example) and proceed here is what happens:
1. I get a promt to enter email address and password
2.Then "Validating settings" and "Downloading terms" progress bars start
3. After "Downloading terms" progress bar completes i am returned at the page where have to choose email provider again
Is there someone with similar issue as mine when has upgraded to 031.012?
On my Nokia N8 once I've sent an email I cannot see it again in my 'sent' box. I know that people are receiving the emails but I have no record of them.
I've not been receiving any emails today. i tried to delete and re-register my email and reboot the phone but it still cannot receive any email at all.
For the past week I have been receiving a message from Blackberry requiring me to validate one of my email addresses. Each time I do so, I get confirmation that the validation has been successful. However, the email address still does not work and within an hour or so I get a new message telling me to validate the address. This has happened several times daily since the Blackberry outages started, In all that time, I have had no access to my email at this address.
My email services and Blackberry messenger are still not working, despite the fact that the disruptions of last week have apparently been fixed. However, I am able to access the internet.On the setup menu it says that there are two email accounts, but when I click on it, it says that there are no activated accounts and there is only the option for enterprise activation. The Blackberry and 3G sign at the top of the screen are present and in capitals. I have tried pulling out the battery and rebooting. I have re-registered with the host routing table. I have also called my carrier (t-mobile), who have said it is not a problem with them.
