Nokia :: ERROR IN SOFTWARE UPDATER 2.5.2(LATEST) For 5800

I yesterday installed Nokia Software Updater 2.5.2 (LATEST) on my PC Running-
Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit build 7600
No ovi suite installed.
I had some problems in my new software V50 of Nokia 5800. I tried to reinstall the firmware but there is no option to reinstall as earlier versions of NSU had.
But in help file of that NSU(5.2.5) it is written that-:''After the phone has been detected and identified and the update information checked, Nokia Software Updater displays a summary on the PC screen. If you want to continue updating your phone software, click the Update button. It is also possible to reinstall the same software version that is already in the phone.Now what do I do as in my NSU there is no option to Reinstall?

When i connect to software updater it tells me i have the latest software (4.1) yet iknow that version 8.4 is available how do i get 8.4 anybody help?

I bought nokia 5800 xpress music phone recently in Italy. software version was v31.0.1. I found there is a new version with 40.0.0.5. in one of my friend's phone. I tried with many options that are found in the web to update the version. but it always saying that there is no update. what went wrong and If someone know how to solve this please provide me the solution.I frustrated and thinking that made a bad decision buying this phone. please help me. It is not that i need the latest version software immediately..but the only reason I feel unhappy that this phone is not updating when there is something new.

I've recently updated firmware to V40 and initially I didn't have this problem, but now for some reason, the application software updater (under application menu) won't work. When I select it, it tries to load, but immediately closes. I can't for the life of me understand why this wouldn't work or why it would suddenly stop working. Is there a way to download the sw updater from OVI store or something?? I've even tried a hardware reset (green, red and camera button while turning the phone on), but that hasn't helped.
At the same time, I've also noticed that I can't edit any pictures. The same thing happens I click on the edit button, the picture loads, but as soon as I try add an effect, it closes the application.

My E71 is 300.21.012 18-06-2009 RM-346 Nokia E71-1(350.02).Upon using Nokia software Updater its says firmware up to date and no new firmware available.But i know new version 400.21.013 is out there.How can i update.Does anyone have similar issues.

I have just reinstalled the firmware on my N95 ( via Ovi Suite, product code 0534851 - V. 35.0.002 ). Next, i wanted to update my Maps platform, because this firmware still has the classic Nokia Maps 2.0, and the Ovi Map Loader says i need to update to Ovi Maps 3.0 in order to download the maps. So, I installed the Nokia Maps Updater 1.0.12 (the latest, i suppose. i've just downloaded from the nokia website), I exited the Ovi Suite, started the Maps Updater, and i get this error: "Cannot get enough information about the phone [3].Unspecified error [1]." Tried it on a friend's E51 and same error.

This is the error I get each time I try to run Maps Updater.Underneath it says "Unspecified error [1]"
The website tells me I can update to Ovi maps so I've installed Ovi Suite, got all the firmware and software updates, follow the instructions to download and install Maps Updater.First it seems to object to another version of map loader or maps updater running, so I close Ovi Suite and its OK then it gets the next error in th title here.
Error Cannot get enough information about the phone[3]..I've tried this multiple times and still no progress.

After received my phone from Nokia care in Cairo "EGYPT", I found my phone firmware (32.001) and custom version 32.001053.1; I tried several times to install new version of Nokia OVI maps but the message about "Maps Updater Error Cannot get enough information n about the phone[3 ]" appeared. I have unsolved problem until now. I have Nokia 5630 (buy in Czech Republic), I updated to latest firmware 012.020 and after that I canīt connected with Nokia maps updater (it shows the announcement like topic - see attached file). I try hard to reset and many, many things but without positive results. Is it this problem solvable?I want to use Nokia maps and I donīt. I want to buy Nokia GPS module but it is useless in this time. It must be any solution from Nokia company.

Which is the latest available software version for Nokia 5800? The one which is in my phone is 30.0.011. However i tried to download OviMaps and it's saying that to install new maps the software version needs to be 31.0.008 or higher. I tried to update the firmware using software updater but it says that no new updates available. Which one to believe now? Product code is 0575590. Is there any new update available for this product code? If it is there how to update?

if i click my position or drive ot anything else it sais on the top of the screen waiting for GPS and it doesnt do anything. it has no signal, i dont know.

I got the latest software (v50) for my phone and have had a few annoyances. Firstly my text when writing a text sometimes randomly starts deleting itself as though the delete has got a mind of its own and has locked or something, meaning I helplessly watch my text get deleted. Secondly, when browsing, occasionally if I bring up the back and option buttons (coming out of full screen mode) they just wont appear and I cannot do anything unless I close and reload the page. Thirdly when touching an icon, it may not realise for a while and I have to keep pressing it other times I accidently press something once and it opens it. The new features are great, but the problems are annoying and is it possible the sensitivity can still be increased as its almost perfect in terms of touch sensivity from a finger. I end up using my nail to help it along sometimes.

Both PC Suite and Ovi were working perfectly until I updated my Ovi to the latest version early this week. Now, whenever I start Ovi, it will crash after 15-20sec if my 5800 is connected ( either bluetooth or USB ). If the phone is not connected, Ovi will stay without any issue. Btw, PC Suite is working fine. Here is the error message pop-up on the screen when Ovi crashed.
"Nokia Ovi Suite 2 has stopped working". A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". No solution is actually provided and the only option is to "Close program". Here is the windows error log :

This is what i did so far :
i) Uninstall Ovi , re-download from Nokia web, reinstall : Failed to fix

iii) Format and reinstall Windows 7 ( Yes, I did !!! ) , re-download and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
I strongly believe this error is caused by the latest version of Ovi Suite, as i have another laptop which running with the older version of Ovi Suite works perfectly with my 5800. I have uninstall the Ovi Suite, I will only try it again when next release is available.

I have a 5800 Xpress music phone.I updated the firmware yesterday to the latest version (V40.0.005). And also added some songs from OVI suite. Now my music player hangs all the time. I dont know what to do. And need to restart the phone again to get rid of the problem. Sometimes even if i restart it wont work. Then i need to remove the battery and then restart.

According to my status, I'm running version 4.2.2.182 software. I've been on the blackberry website, and apparently version 4.5 is available. Now I tried to update my phone software, and according to the updater my phone is running the latest software. This isn't true though, and I think updating to 4.5 will help remove some of the problems with my Blackberry. How can I update my 8310?

I have some software problem with my Nokia E71 . SO i decided to update my mobile Software. so i downloaded NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER V2.5 en . After that when i start it shows error that :" Unable to retrieve device information " and shows 4 suggetion that remove battry and like that.. I had do all this things. but till it doesnt starts. i have also tries this softwre in windows XP SP3 and windows 7. But same probelm in both . I tried to install Ovi maps 3.03 but during the installation, it says there's not enough memory and it asks me to delete something from the C:. But I didn't really put much in C: and I don't know what I can delete without affecting the system.So, when I open "Maps" now, the old version still pops out (it says 3.01 when I click into "About"),but apparently the installer in the PC suite thinks I have 3.03 already.What should I do?

In general, I'm satisfied with my phone and I had no big problems except this one. The problem started a while ago. Sometimes, when someone is calling and I answer, there's no sound, I mean - they can hear me, but I can't hear them. If I try to call back, I still don't get any incoming sound. After I restart mobile phone or turn it offline and then back online, then everything is alright, at least for some time. The problem is definitely in my phone, not in others. This have occured when I have been called from different phones.This bug is unpredictable. I mean, it can happan like a several times a day or few times a month. Right now, it's happaning quite often .I have updated firmware and, I think, I have now latest firmware. What could be the problem? Can it be fix with some software or I have to take it back to the shop and ask them to change it?

I have recently checked the software updater on my nokia N8-00 to see that there is an update that can only be updated through the ovi suite, so I duely download it set it up and too my surprise I get an this error. I have restarted my computer inutile times and the ovi suite is the latest as it was only downloaded yesterday, I have also tried the download with my firewall turned off and still get this error.

I tried to install xtrasmooth but i got the error: error executing updater binary.. On croma i got an error about the system partition...
Already tried to wipe and reboot to recovery and unmount system partition.
Are there any special instructions for the 16gb variant?
I remember that on my oneplus i got the same error message about the updater binary, i fixed it flashing a zip that changed the device name...

After upgrading my 5800XM to v40 and upgrading to the latest PC suite and software updater versions on my PC, my phone no longer connects with the computer with the error message "cannot authenticate phone" with bluetooth. If I try USB connection, the OS crashes while trying to install phone software (windows 7 pro, Dell Inspiron 6400). I have uninstalled and re-installed all nokia software on the PC and still got the same results. Even without PC suite, the phone does not connect through the PC bluetooth anymore.

could someone please help me with this problem. I have just bought a nokia 5800 comes with music phone. When i run the disk everything installs untill i get to nokia music which fails due to this error :

I have updated the firmware on my 5800 to version 31.0.101.I have tried to update Maps from version 3.01 to 3.03. Each time I try, the update fails.The on-air update fails without any detailed messages. The update via USB cable fails with an error message "unknown error code 5".Does anyone know what is wrong and how to resolve this problem?

I've just bought a Nokia 5800 and downloaded the latest version of Ovi Maps. I'd rather use this in offline mode, and it works well about 60% of the time. But quite often I get the error "route not found" when I try and set a route. The only way round this is to go online, and then a route can always be found.Having looked on the web I see a lot of people are having this problem but I haven't found a definitve fix yet. I've tried unistalling and reinstalling but the problem persists.
