My E71 is 300.21.012 18-06-2009 RM-346 Nokia E71-1(350.02).Upon using Nokia software Updater its says firmware up to date and no new firmware available.But i know new version 400.21.013 is out there.How can i update.Does anyone have similar issues.

Next, i wanted to update my Maps platform, because this firmware still has the classic Nokia Maps 2.0, and the Ovi Map Loader says i need to update to Ovi Maps 3.0 in order to download the maps. So, I installed the Nokia Maps Updater 1.0.12 (the latest, i suppose. i've just downloaded from the nokia website), I exited the Ovi Suite, started the Maps Updater, and i get this error: "Cannot get enough information about the phone [3].Unspecified error [1]." Tried it on a friend's E51 and same error.

After received my phone from Nokia care in Cairo "EGYPT", I found my phone firmware (32.001) and custom version 32.001053.1; I tried several times to install new version of Nokia OVI maps but the message about "Maps Updater Error Cannot get enough information n about the phone[3 ]" appeared. I saw the tickets about E75 and the sis file for OVI map 3.01 installed but get error update in phone display.

No ovi suite installed.
I had some problems in my new software V50 of Nokia 5800. I tried to reinstall the firmware but there is no option to reinstall as earlier versions of NSU had.
But in help file of that NSU(5.2.5) it is written that-:''After the phone has been detected and identified and the update information checked, Nokia Software Updater displays a summary on the PC screen. If you want to continue updating your phone software, click the Update button. It is also possible to reinstall the same software version that is already in the phone.Now what do I do as in my NSU there is no option to Reinstall?
I have unsolved problem until now. I have Nokia 5630 (buy in Czech Republic), I updated to latest firmware 012.020 and after that I canīt connected with Nokia maps updater (it shows the announcement like topic - see attached file). I try hard to reset and many, many things but without positive results. Is it this problem solvable?I want to use Nokia maps and I donīt. View 9 Replies View RelatedI've used the Nokia Communicator since the 9000i, these phones take a beating and keeps on ticking. I dug forth my old Nokia e90 after my iPhone fetish disappated. However, I've never updated the firmware of my e90 and thanks to the Ovi software, I can't even though I want to.I've tried on three seperate machines and they all give me the exact same error message in both the Ovi suite and the Software Updater. (See attachments.)The three machines I tested it on are all Windows 7 32bits. I've been googling like a mad man and I see several others have had this issue with their phones. I've also tried every trick in the book (remove expired root certificates, disable firewall, restart twice, disable antivirus etc.) to absolutely NO avail.

View 7 Replies View RelatedA bit of a strange problem and I hope someone can help.Last week I checked my phone using the update phone software application and it told me that the new firmware (v400) was available for me. I didn't have time to do the update then but as I knew it was available I started doing the backups and getting everything ready to update it.Today, as I had time, I tried to do the update only to find that Nokia is now saying that there is no update for my product code. My product code is 0568325 which should be a UK unbranded code so I dont understand why I can't update the firmware.

For the moment I have the firmware 30.0.011.When I check with my mobile if there are new updates, then it says there are no new updates available. When I ckeck on the nokia website with my productcode, it says that I can update to the new firmware. When I connect to my PC (Vista Ultimate 64bit), then it finds the new firmware and wants to update my mobile. During the update, it shuts my mobile down and then gives the error message that he can not find the device. So I disconnect my mobile, restart it and reconnect it. After this I choose to try again with locating my mobile, he finds it and starts with updating again till the part where my mobile is turned off again. So I keep getting stuck in this loop.Anybody knows a solution for this?

However, now, when I open my internet browser it automatically opens full screen which is really not my preference. But when I click "options" it just shuts down.Also when I enter Ovi store now, at first it seems fine but after loading an app page it crashes saying no more than "Something went wrong".

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to firmware40.0.005 (custom version 40.0.005.224.09) videos get stuck after a few minutes, even knowing the sound still plays.I have made some research and spotted people complaining of that issue after upgrading to that firmware but it was a few months back, and surely Nokia wouldn't have text me last week to let me know about a firmware update if the problems with it havent been resolved.Any help would be much appreciated as I am using my phone to watch video a lot as it normally does the trick to keep my hyper active toddler quiet while out and about.Even a firmware downgrade would be accpetable, the videos being so important to avoid the little one destroying places (it was a god sent in A&E)

Sometimes, when someone is calling and I answer, there's no sound, I mean - they can hear me, but I can't hear them. If I try to call back, I still don't get any incoming sound. After I restart mobile phone or turn it offline and then back online, then everything is alright, at least for some time. The problem is definitely in my phone, not in others. This have occured when I have been called from different phones.This bug is unpredictable. I mean, it can happan like a several times a day or few times a month. Right now, it's happaning quite often .I have updated firmware and, I think, I have now latest firmware. What could be the problem? Can it be fix with some software or I have to take it back to the shop and ask them to change it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought E72 two weeks ago. Glad at first days. Start to get mad few days later when Ovi maps crash/restart (what the hell happened, it was ok previously??) I check the firmware and its still ver 021. So I download the Ovi Suite and Softaware Updater (for E72). My PC OS is Windows XP SP2. The Ovi Suite is crash every time I open it (windows error). So I unstall it and download PC Suite (for E72) and PC Suite works fine .. I try some menus like backup, copy photos, etc. and its oke. Then I try to run Software Updated from PC Suite. But It can not recognize my phone! I follow every single step that mentioned in the SU dialog or in SU help including removing the battery, disconnecting usb cable .. even reinstalling and redownloading the SU and PC Suite. And it still doesn't work .. SU can not recognize my phone while PC Suite can. I have reinstall and redownload SU & PCS twice! Why is it so hard to just update a firmware?

After that I realized, that the map software distributed with the new firmware is old (2.0 or older), and doesn't even work, I got only notice I am supposed to download the new version. Before the update, I was using Ovi Maps 3.0 with paid navigation. Now the Maps Updater seems to have problem to download the Ovi Maps, I tried this on several internet connections already. It's saying "Cannot get enough information about the phone[1]. Connection to the map server has been interrupted (9)." Is there any chance to fix this in short time?

"Nokia Software Updater has attempted to connect to the internet but has failed three times. This could be because of a poor-quality, slow or intermittent internet connection, or restrictions due to a firewall.
If requested by your firewall, Nokia Software Updater needs the following applications to gain access to the internet:
nsl_host_process.exe
nsu_u_clienti.exe" The program will then close down.
I have a good, steady internet connection (10mb) and all firewalls are off. I have done some searches on this issue but I was wondering if a solution was found for the problem?
Nokia Software Updater 3.0.400 running on Mac OS 10.6.8.
Every time I turn on my computer, Software Updater starts and sits its little icon up with the power and wireless icons.
There's no reference to this in System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items.
