I am facing a problem here, problem is.i checked that a new software for my device E71 is availabe(putting the product code) it says new firmware 410. something is availabe, but when i connect it to the cable and start nokia software update. it says no new firmware is availabe. what the is this?Second in device manager it says no server profile found.can't i update E71 via OTA? if yes then HOW?
View 10 RepliesI live in Blegium and try to update my Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic to the new firmware (31.01.101). For the moment I have the firmware 30.0.011.When I check with my mobile if there are new updates, then it says there are no new updates available. When I ckeck on the nokia website with my productcode, it says that I can update to the new firmware. When I connect to my PC (Vista Ultimate 64bit), then it finds the new firmware and wants to update my mobile. During the update, it shuts my mobile down and then gives the error message that he can not find the device. So I disconnect my mobile, restart it and reconnect it. After this I choose to try again with locating my mobile, he finds it and starts with updating again till the part where my mobile is turned off again. So I keep getting stuck in this loop.Anybody knows a solution for this?

View 3 Replies View Relatedafter i had updated my n97. most problems temporarily went away for about 1-2 weeks. now my phone cannot answer calls. cannot play music through the loud speaker. alarm does not work. basically anything that has to do with sound does not work. it shows that my phone has headphones connected but there is none connected. i formated the phone, did a hard reset, re installed the latest software and still the problem continues. after having nokias for the past 10 years. i am happy to say that i will never purchase another nokia again. nokiaz flagship phone has drove most of thier loyal customers away. the n97 is one of the worst phones ive ever had with respect to software

When i click on Menu and then 'Photos', Menu disappears and im going back to the Home screen (idle), of course tried switching off and on, removing the battery, nothing helps. Then i found out that 'Photos' can only be opened in horizonal mode (opening the keyboard). In horizonal mode i can click Menu and then Photos, the 'Photos' is opened perfectly. (switching back to vertical seems ok, Photos stays open)

I didn't have time to do the update then but as I knew it was available I started doing the backups and getting everything ready to update it.Today, as I had time, I tried to do the update only to find that Nokia is now saying that there is no update for my product code. View 8 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my firmware to V 50.0.005, cause that's what Ovi store told me to do in order to download ovi maps. However, now, when I open my internet browser it automatically opens full screen which is really not my preference. But when I click "options" it just shuts down.Also when I enter Ovi store now, at first it seems fine but after loading an app page it crashes saying no more than "Something went wrong".
I updated my phone to firmware version 30.033 via NSU which caused my phone`s camera not working any more, while prior to the update it worked fine. When I press on the camera main button or open it from the menu, it gives a strange message " camera feature not supported" and the camera application can not be closed then till the phone is powered off. Then phone can not be downgraded to the previous or lower firmware. Hard reset to factory setting does not work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to firmware40.0.005 (custom version 40.0.005.224.09) videos get stuck after a few minutes, even knowing the sound still plays.I have made some research and spotted people complaining of that issue after upgrading to that firmware but it was a few months back, and surely Nokia wouldn't have text me last week to let me know about a firmware update if the problems with it havent been resolved.Any help would be much appreciated as I am using my phone to watch video a lot as it normally does the trick to keep my hyper active toddler quiet while out and about.Even a firmware downgrade would be accpetable, the videos being so important to avoid the little one destroying places (it was a god sent in A&E)

Sometimes, when someone is calling and I answer, there's no sound, I mean - they can hear me, but I can't hear them. If I try to call back, I still don't get any incoming sound. After I restart mobile phone or turn it offline and then back online, then everything is alright, at least for some time. The problem is definitely in my phone, not in others. This have occured when I have been called from different phones.This bug is unpredictable. I mean, it can happan like a several times a day or few times a month. Right now, it's happaning quite often .I have updated firmware and, I think, I have now latest firmware. What could be the problem? Can it be fix with some software or I have to take it back to the shop and ask them to change it?

I'm suffering from memory problems with my Nokia X6 16 Gb recently, specially after the installation of the last version of whatsapp, with emoticons. I can't hardly use Nokia Maps and whatsapp at the same time. I had to uninstall whatsapp during the last trip I was using Nokia Maps.
My actual firmware (Orange, in Spain) is v31.0.004, and I cannot upgrade dialing *#0000# in the phone (appears "No updates available"). Anyone knows how can I upgrade to the last firmware version, v40, for this mobile? I hope the new firmware would be able to solve the memory issues
I have recently checked the software updater on my nokia N8-00 to see that there is an update that can only be updated through the ovi suite, so I duely download it set it up and too my surprise I get an this error. I have restarted my computer inutile times and the ovi suite is the latest as it was only downloaded yesterday, I have also tried the download with my firewall turned off and still get this error.

But the absurd "WLAN Scanning off" is still displayed out there in my screen This only occurs to the Contact Bar standby mode, no problems with Active/Vertical/horizontal/etc mode

Second problem.Installing Ebuddy;I've downloaded the popular social networking application to my phone, but when it comes to installing it, i get the error message saying "CONNECTION FAILED! Your internet settings must be activated for Java applications, or try again later.
I work with a Nokia C5-00 operator locked (Movistar Spain) one month ago. When I connect it thru Ovi Suite (in a Windows 7 box), a firmware update was available, and yesterday I tried to do the upgrade.
Ovi Suite detected my phone, and a few moments later, backup its contents, and started to download the new firmware. Troubles came when Ovi Suite began to do the update, as it failed with a "Network Connect Error" when started to do the process.
Screen of my phone went completely white, and after disconnecting the USB cable, the phone simply died, except when I press the red button (it makes a vibration, but screen doesn't turn on). If I reconnect the phone to the computer, Windows try to install a "Nokia USB ROM" device, but unsuccessfully.
Can I make a sort of "reset" to revive my phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI know how rooting and flashing works but I've been using HTC devices since the nexus one so there are some differences I just want to make sure of. I got my 6P yesterday, I unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP. I wanted to gain root but Im not sure about flashing the modified boot img and the vendor thing.
My build was K but I got an OTA before unlocking the bootloader which updated to L. Anyway I don't know why I just formatted every thing in TWRP instead of the factory reset and I lost the OS X_X I tried to restore my nandroid with no luck. Anyway I got the factory img (MDB08L) from google dev and flashed used 'flash-all.bat' in the bootloader, the phone is running fine right now but I would like to update to the latest firmware 6.0.1+root since im not getting any OTA.
I would like to install CleanCore(6.0.1), the guide is
-> Flash Bootloader & Radio (as needed)
-> Flash CleanCore
-> Flash Modified Boot (named angler-xxxxxx-boot.zip)
-> Flash SuperSU or SuperSU Beta
-> Flash latest vendor.img (ROM & Vendor builds need to match!)
1. Should I use MMB29M factory img and flash 'flash-all.bat' like I did with the L build for the first step? then I flash new recovery?
-Flashing the rom through the recovery
2. so after I flash the rom I boot into the bootloader and flash the modified boot img with fastboot flash boot boot.img right?
3. then I go back to recovery and flash SU which I should download before.
4. vendor img is flashed in recovery too or fastboot?
I ran the suggest os update,after running backup, the os started to load and then run restore , restore crashed phone useless how can i get it back as running restore just crashes
