I have a Motorola W755 phone (on Verizon).I was sent an image via text that I deleted immediately as it was offensive. It is somewhat important that I recover the message and/or image that was received and deleted. Is there ANY way to do so? Can I contact Verizon and make this request? I have access to Mac OS 10.6 and Vista Home and am coachable.
My friend has a deactivated W755, and she wants me to save videos of her late brother onto a CD. I was able to insert a microSD card and save the one in the Media area, but the ones that are in video messages aren't so easy. There's an option to save them, but it times and locks for a few seconds, then no results. I looked in media and they're not there, and this is the same result with or without the card in. There's no option to send via bluetooth either.
I downloaded and installed Motorola Phone Tools, but I got an error to the effect of the license being expired.
My sweet daughter thought my phone needed to take a flight and threw is down some stairs on some nice hard tile. Needless to say, my screen broke and I have a new phone arriving today. But I had a few text that I had protected because they were important to me (one a picture of my baby and the second her first text she ever sent) and wondering if there is a way to access the phone through my computer and retrieve the text messages? I can open up the phone folders on my computer, but not sure if there is anything I can do from there.
I have a regular RAZR that had the screen self-destruct last Friday, I have no idea why, as it did not touch anything, just cracked...but that is beside the point. I got the insurance replacement phone on Monday, and realized that my SMS backup app decided to save the backed up texts on the phone's internal memory instead of the sd card, like you would expect it to, as you are backing things up in case something like this happens...I went to retrieve the file from the internal storage by connecting it to my computer and here is the weird thing that happens when i do that:
When I go into Computer on Windows 7, it shows the motocast removable drive, and two other ghosted removable drives, that would normally be the MOTO and sd card drives, but for some reason it says that they ccannot be opened because a disk needs to be inserted into the drives..I have no idea what I can do to get around this and access the internal storage.
setting up auto-fetching applies to all email accounts. I swear on my 2.1 Spice XT300, the auto-retrieval was by email address (and also the smallest interval between fetches was 5 minutes, not 15 like on the Defy). I have never used 2.1 on the Defy; mine was original 2.2.1.
I would like to show two images on the Xoom side by side as a comparison - can't do this using the current image gallery tool (android 3.2.1 - timely updates by the way Moto!).I had the idea for a concept utilising multi-touch - whereby when views images in the grid - if you touch two images at the same time then after a second both images will be held up next to each other.Maybe this line of thinking could be carried to other areas like file management - each touching two file icons allows a file content comparison or whatever. etc.
I have a Wi-Fi Only Xoom (MZ604) and finally received the invitation to update to v3.1 last night. After downloading and proceeding with the update the tablet powered off and restarted. A progress bar for the update was displayed and didn't even get 1/4 through when a Warning Triangle and the Droid Character appeared on screen. After waiting for two hours, this image was still on screen.
I held volume up and the power button and the Xoom rebooted. When it reached the lock screen it would wait a couple seconds and then power off and attempt the upgrade again. The bar graph would update a little and then the Warning Triangle/Droid image appears on screen again. No matter what I could not stop this cycle, let alone power off the unit.
I will admit that I unlocked the Xoom, but I have never attempted to root it. Having said that, I was sure that my upgrade problem was related to unlocking the Xoom and as my laptop with the SDK, ADB and fastboot was at work so I had to wait until this morning to relock. This morning I connected my Xoom and was able to get the NVFlash/RSD/Fastboot menu. I entered Fastboot mode and from my PC issued fastboot oem lock and proceeded to select yes to the warning. The device started the lock process. Here comes my problem: After a couple minutes the device restarted and showed the following error on the logo screen:
Failed image SOS 0x0002 Starting RSD mode 2
I have been fantically looking for a solution to fix this. If I hold down the power and volume up keys the unit will power off briefly but then powers on again (as it did last night) and displays the same SOS error message. If I hold the volume down key (or even the power on and volume down key) when it restarts, I get the following:
Failed image SOS 0x0002 Starting Fastboot protocol support.Which you would think is great, but if I type fastboot devices on my PC, no device is shown and fastboot oem unlock just displays "Waiting for device" on screen without ever communicating with the tablet. I have tried every key combination I could find on the web and have tried rebooting my PC and I cannot get the Xoom to communicate, power off or do anything than display the previously mentioned errors.
I have downloaded some images I would like to use as wallpaper. However, no matter what I do the image is always too large and only a section of it shows as wallpaper
After unlocking and entering my password, the top drop down menu jumped to the bottom. The menu accessability was still functioning from the top, however the entire screen shifted up. When I try to tap an app in the new, offset position, it will select the app below the one I am going for, suggesting that the digitizer is okay. When this shift happens, I press the lock button twice, swipe to unlock and it is good as new.....at least for a while. Now, there are times that, when I press the unlock button, there is only a black screen that lights up. I then press the lock button until my unlock screen appears.
I am running 2.1 and this was a replacement cliq, as my original took a swim in the terlit
i have a question how can i upload pictures for caller ID in motorola atrix phone the one i upload are so small it cannot zoom enlarge it shows very small picture when u recieve call how can i enlarge that picture.
For some reason, I don't receive a notification when my phone receives an image text. The only way that I know there is an image text is if I happen to open my text screen to send a text. Then I have to automatically download the image, and then it notifies me that there is a text. I've tried changing all kinds of notifications.
I was deleting a blank pic off my phone and this commenced mass deletion of my pics from my August Álbum. Don't know what caused it. Is there any way to retrieve these pics? Over 200 pics were deleted.
while changing the BB ID, it prompted to wiped off data, which i okayed it, assuming that it will delete only BB ID sceen data, but actually it delleted all the data in handset. How do i recover my contact list and BB M list ? is there any recovery software to recover this ?
I have my gallery connected to my picasa account, however I can not seem to find the option to save an image from my online gallery to my phone. Is this possible? Am i just blind?
It seems every time a contact on my twitter account changes its profile picture, Motoblur simply do not show it anymore neither on the widget or the Motoblur app that the widget calls. In place of the precedent picture I then get the gray generic anonymous shadow. I'm not sure it is froyo related, but it sure started after the upgrade. I can imagine the issue coming from the Blur service on the servers and not from the phone itself.
Hi, help me to determinate what type of images Xoom i must download to my device? I I asked Motorola support but they do not know. I know tha i have MZ601 device. But what i must use to reflash from this page: [URL]
I have XOOM MZ601 3G(maybe HongKong vversion I bought in Taiwan). Now I need Software Image of XOOM MZ601 3G(H6.1-17_CN-40) but I cannot find.I tried to add some language to XOOM but I mistook, after that my XOOM never boot any more.So I want factory reset following this method [URL] and want to get image files. But I cannot find the same with Software image of my XOOM in this site.how to get Software Image of XOOM MZ601 3G(H6.1-17_CN-40).
High resolution Images or pictures from camera or web appear dotted and low quality. I see curved patterns in images with large Color Gradients. Also pictures or video taken from Atrix camera looks grainy and negative-like patches in dark areas. Is this a common problem? Could it be because of display resolution of the phone.
I received my shiny new 3G Xoom (MZ601) yesterday and decided to root it. I successfully unlocked the bootloader and then flashed the rootboot.img file. Unfortunately on rebooting it hung at the Motorola logo. I tried a couple of other boot images, such as Tiamat 1.3.1 and ocboot but all with the same result. Obviously something is different about the European 3G Xoom which makes these US boot images fail.
I managed to "sort of" recover using one of the stock US boot images (can't remember which one!) but my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are no longer working. What I would really like to do is revert to a completely stock MZ601 image. I see that the Verizon stock images are available on motodev but no mention of MZ601.
For some reason my 5800 phone has recently stopped retrieving emails from my IMAP inbox. No changes on the servet but I have recently installed the latest firmware 50.2.005 and all applications are up to date.
The problem is I go to inbox click on Connect and it says updating mailbox, sometimes it will download the new messages and sometimes I have to do it several times. Also the connection to the mailbox is immediately droppped. There is no "exiting will disconnect from mailbox" prompt when I exit so that shows that it is not connected. Then when I try to open a new or even an old message it connects and says updating mailbox and then sometimes the email application closes, sometimes it does not do anything and goes back to message list, sometimes it will show the message with no body and sometimes it shows an error saying could not display message. After trying several times sometimes I get to see the message content. Each time I try to open the email it attempts to connect to internet as it asks me which connection to use so it is evident the phone cannot maintain the connection open.
I have noted that after some firmware upgrade now I only have the option to download headers. Before I believe there was an option to download part of the body aswell.
when trying to delete a message from phone & server it tries to do it but finally just shows a red slash on the message icon. The message is not deleted from server either.
I tried selecting messages from memory card and phone memory and tried deleting the email account and setup from scratch but it is the same everytime.
I am using the default email client. The new Nokia email program is useless because it does not support secure connections which i need to use.
I've purchased a C2-00 phone, and it seems I don't have the option to automatically retrieve an MMS. There are only two options available: manually and deactivated. how does one select an MP3 for the alarm?
I am having problems receiving text messages with the C6.00. Sometimes I have to turn my phone off and then back on again to retrieve my messages? I have restored my phone back to factory settings (Settings/Phone/Phone MGMT/Factory Settings), but still the problem persists.
