I was deleting a blank pic off my phone and this commenced mass deletion of my pics from my August Álbum. Don't know what caused it. Is there any way to retrieve these pics? Over 200 pics were deleted.

My BB has been playing up for the last 4 months (i've only had it for 10 months!!), and in the last week I noticed that whenever I use email, messenger, and texts all my letter 'i's are missing the dots above them. This is preventing me from sending emails as the letter is not recognised. So I figured I would backup and restore my BB to 2 weeks prior.
I can't backup to an earlier date without signing in, but as I said earlier I don't remember my password, and still no email with my password has been emailed to me!

Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

I decided to pass them into the computer but when I didn't find any pics. I don't think they were saved into the memory card. Now it's saying that the memory card need to be reformatting but a message also says that I can't lose what I have.

But for some reason when a few of them accepted and became contacts I was (and still am) unable to view their display pictures and the same people can't see mines. I never had this problem with my old BB torch 9860 and I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue like rebooting, taking battery out, backing up contacts etc but I'm still having the same problem. I'm using blackberry messenger version 6.0.1.32.

Hubby says they're not his, and that they were his friend's, but I know his friend does not own a BB 9800. So, a couple days ago, I noticed my pics had disappeared. The phone said "A Media Card has been insert that contains errors" and I tried to repair them, but as others have found, "Media Card Repair Failed". When I plugged both the phone, and then the media card via a card reader, into my laptop, the "camera" folder was simply a Unix file, not a folder anymore, and obviously no contents. So is the problem the card, or is the instructions for the camera missing? I've tried taking the battery out a few times to reboot - no effect. I've tried "repair" repeatedly and that doesn't work. I've not managed to re-format the card so do let me know how exactly to do that via the phone, if you think that's the best option.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my 5800 phone has recently stopped retrieving emails from my IMAP inbox. No changes on the servet but I have recently installed the latest firmware 50.2.005 and all applications are up to date.
The problem is I go to inbox click on Connect and it says updating mailbox, sometimes it will download the new messages and sometimes I have to do it several times. Also the connection to the mailbox is immediately droppped. There is no "exiting will disconnect from mailbox" prompt when I exit so that shows that it is not connected. Then when I try to open a new or even an old message it connects and says updating mailbox and then sometimes the email application closes, sometimes it does not do anything and goes back to message list, sometimes it will show the message with no body and sometimes it shows an error saying could not display message. After trying several times sometimes I get to see the message content. Each time I try to open the email it attempts to connect to internet as it asks me which connection to use so it is evident the phone cannot maintain the connection open.
I have noted that after some firmware upgrade now I only have the option to download headers. Before I believe there was an option to download part of the body aswell.
when trying to delete a message from phone & server it tries to do it but finally just shows a red slash on the message icon. The message is not deleted from server either.
I tried selecting messages from memory card and phone memory and tried deleting the email account and setup from scratch but it is the same everytime.
I am using the default email client. The new Nokia email program is useless because it does not support secure connections which i need to use.

I recently backed up my damaged 4gsm to iTunes. I have since been issues with 4s version. When I try to restore my 4s from iTunes backup option, iTunes asks for a password. There is no option to help retrieve this password & I have tried effortlessly to use a variety of potential passwords but still cannot get past this lock section. I can see that it was backed up but I just can't get into the back up due to this silly password request.

I'd like to set them all to auto retrieval; but the phone only lets me set 2 with that option. If I select a 3rd it tells me "maximum amount of mailboxes already automatically retrieving e-mails". Is there a way around this?
