The mail ap does not allow fewer than 50 messages to be set for retrieval. Yes, I could ask for more but I prefer the mail messages remain on my ISPs disk.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently backed up my damaged 4gsm to iTunes. I have since been issues with 4s version. When I try to restore my 4s from iTunes backup option, iTunes asks for a password. There is no option to help retrieve this password & I have tried effortlessly to use a variety of potential passwords but still cannot get past this lock section. I can see that it was backed up but I just can't get into the back up due to this silly password request.

How do I sync older Apple messages to my iphone? I dont want ALL of my old emails, just say 6 months back. My pop mail in Iphone only sync ones from the last 1 month. Unlike gmail, this email doesnt have mail,calendar and notes on/off buttons, and no archive button either. My iPhone 5 has abruptly stopped notifying me of new voicemail messages yesterday. I did not update any software recently. Not only am I no longer notified of new voicemail messages in visual voicemail, they are not listed.
I only learned of the problem when a friend bragged about the humor in his message to me. I looked but could not find the message. I then left myself a voicemail on my iPhone from a landline, but have not been notified of the new message.

Using the standard iPhone Mail program, most of my email messages are being rendered at half the width of the screen rather than filling the entire width. It does not appear to matter where the messages are coming from or what they contain. As you can see in the screenshot below, it looks like the mail program is getting confused about the width of the screen and wrapping text at what looks like exactly 50% width. The message header and title are OK.

I try and close it down and hit play again and it keeps popping open.I end up having to restart the entire phone. I am also noticing my voicemails are severly delayed in showing up as messages on my phone. Sometimes a few days later it will show i have a vm and when I listen to it, it was recorded 48 hours earlier. This is not consistent but intermittent.

Suddenly today after deleting a handful of messages out of one mailbox it suddenly says that mailbox has 4294967295 messages. There is nothing in the mailbox. If I send mail to it, the count changes to 1 until I delete that message then it goes back to 4294967295. I have deleted the account and recreated it but that didn't fix it.

I'm sending text messages to a list of people I have in an email, and I just noticed that not all (in fact, most) of the messages I sent are not appearing as sent in my Messages application. I'm sending these messages by hovering over the phone numbers in the email and selecting "Send Message" from the popup list. I then type the message I want to send, click "Send," and it returns me to Mail.
What's the problem here? I tested it by sending a message in the same way to one of my friends, and she told me she didn't receive it. Is there a way for me to fix this, or do I just have to manually enter every phone number into messages?
