I have a Razr linked to an Internet operator (TeliaSonera) who charges me for connecting to the Internet. On my Razr I cannot find an option where I can choose between allowing or not an Internet connection. End result: If I get an email, that email causes me an 'Internet fee'. Is there no such option or can I just not find it?
View 2 RepliesOn the next update we need the option to disable more apps like that weather thing that's always running and backup assistant + media that I don't use and dlna. We need to be able to disable all apps that is safe to do so. Cause the three that I mention here are running all the time and I don't even use them. I've stopped them and there already running again. At least make these 3 so that they can be disabled.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI was running short of space on my MicroSDHC card. I had about 1.5 gigs of storage left on the card. I went to take a video and noticed that I could only take a video in DVD quality or worse. There was no longer an option to take video in 780p or HD+ (1080p). I thought that happened because I didn't have much space left on my SD card. I later purchased a 32G Sandisk MicroSDHC. I thought that I would get back my HD and HD+ video options back after I installed the new card. This did not happen. I no longer can take HD+ video anymore. My settings in the video record mode no longer list HDor HD+. how to get the HD settings back? I tried clearing the cache and data in the camera app, but that didn't help.

When I activated the phone for her I discovered there is no toggle option to move any Apps from internal storage to the SD Card. This is usually found by going to Settings-Manage Apps-Download-App Info as a toggle "Move to SD Card/Move to Internal Storage". I went to Motorola's chat and exhausted their knowledge base and was then directed to a phone support number. After talking with a level 1 and level 2 help persons, they synched into my wife's phone and then compared a Razr M on their end. They finally admitted that the move option does not appear in the Razr M version of ICS. This is a critical omission considering the limited size of the Razr M internal storage.I was told by the level 2 that there might be Apps available to fix the problem. I tried App2SD but found it directed me back to the missing toggle.Is this true of all Razr M phones or is it a bug in the software of only a few? In either case, is there a service patch available to correct it?

I had a samsung charge that had this feature and it was great option. When you are getting emails all day and calendar appointments notification showing up. This feature is very important to me as a Linux user. This feature was present when I purchased the phone and Android 4.0.4 (ICS). I live out in the boonies in Montana. I'm on an "Extended Network". They only way I can get my Razr Maxx to check for updates is to put it in Airplane mode, then turn on my wifi. Only then does the option to check for updates become available. If this is the only way I can check for an update, am I stuck waiting until either Verizon or Moto puts the update out for manual pulling of the update? I don't think it will get pushed to me while i'm on an extended network

Is this something that the app has to honor, vs it being forcibly put into place?
The app is "Slacker Radio" I want it to use content I cached instead of using data to pull down songs.
I'm trying to find the best option for mobile internet access for my Xoom.I've ordered the D-Link DAP350 to be able to get wifi from wired internet, but am looking for a router that will accept an onlocked 3.5G modem. So, I looked at the CNet CQR-981 that will accept a USB modem (which the DAP350 apparently does not)The problem as I see it is that they all need some form of setting up/driver, and those will not be available for Andriod-or am I missing something? BTW, I've tried tethering my Xoom to my Nokia N8 both with wifi and BT.

View 13 Replies View RelatedRecently i moved to Saudi for a project related work and I am staying in an apartment where they provide the wifi. first 2 days I was able to connect to the wifi and internet was working fine. After that my phone will detect the wifi in my room and it will connect to the wifi, but no internet access. And the same time it is working fine with the wifi in my office. So i did the Factory data reset, but still its not working. My friends are using different android phones and they are able to access the internet, even I can use my laptop to connect to the wifi.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI searched around and found a few forums dealing with similar issues and the previous models of the Razr, but couldn't find any solutions. I purchased a Razr M yesterday and cannot get the hotspot to function. I can connect the computer to the hotspot and I can see that connection on both the phone and the laptop, but I have no internet connection. I previously had an HTC Incredible and it worked with no issues. I have tried disabling the security, re-naming the connection, changing the channel in the hotspot settings and even changing the client start address. this is really frustrating to me because it is the primary use of this phone. (or at least it's supposed to be) has there been any solution to this issue in the previous models I missed? is anyone else having this problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?

It shows every 15 minutes (not thrilled with that either) but still won't do it. I really like the stock e-mail app with the gesture swipe too and just the general look of it. How can the g-mail app continuously sync and not this one? Plus I don't want notifications coming up for both apps, it's pretty redundant.Data push is turned on for: my gmail accountFetch Schedule is every 15 minutes but it shows for "no accounts" can't find an option that connects my account.

When i open up my web browser on my Nokia is asks me where i would like to connect to and i receive the following options: 'MMS' 'Mobile Internet' and 'Planet 3', all of which i have tried and no luck. I have a pre-paid plan on Vodafone which allows 500MB free data. On my previous E63, i presume it was running on vodafone software because it had shown an option to connect to my Vodafone Internet.

My e-mail setup goes direct to Enterprise Account activation - no option to select internet mail account or Enterprise e-mail. I have tried factory reset - just incase I had messed up during the initial setup of the new phone. software is V6.0.0.600 platform6.6.0.233). My 3 UK account is internet enabled (all works on my old Samsung Galaxy S phone).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new BB Bold 9780 purchased a month back. I have BIS unlimited plan and should be able to setup 10 email accounts I believe.
The problem I have is with the 'Internet Mail Account' option within the Email Accounts in setup. When I click this option, nothing happens. The option doesn't respond to my click.
I know that I have workaround to setup email account through some links in internet and I have already setup my gmail account through the link. However, I would like to have the facility to add a new account through my mobile itself.
I suspect that the problem is due to an incorrect / failed update of 'Email Setup Application'. The version I have is 6.10.0804.1543
Is there any way to get this program updated ? or to get the 'Internet Mail Account' option working in my BB ? I am unable to delete the program through Application Management as the option of Delete is not present.
I recently took part in a Digital Connections project whereby I downloaded an app to monitor phone usage through a market research site, when I did this I had to change some internet options in order to allow it certain access.Since then however internet browsing doesn't work, I get a message which says 'Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider'.Are there default settings out there that I can mimic to allow access again? Even with removing the app my settings are obviously what I changed them to but I neglected to keep a record of what they were originally. I believe its connected to the advanced options/browser push settings where there are several options to allow all/deny all/auto and allow specific. Is there any way other than restoring defaults to change them so they are correct? Or if someone has the same phone would they be able to post what their options currently are so I can mimic them to see if they work?All other functions still work as in email/bbm.

This new Xperio neo V, when you start PC companion does not offer this, only Support Zone, Contacts Setup, Media Go, Sync Zone and File Manager. What has happened to the 'Internet Connect' option? With this connection I could not use the maps option since I am getting 'no connection' reply. When I contacted the cc of Aircel the asked me to send one sms "GPRS BP NOK 5230". If I send this sms I am immediately getting a reply message stating that "Your request could not be complied since your hand set is not compatible for GPRS setting". Pl clarify whether it is true that 5230 is not a compatible hand set for GPRS or tell me how to get Gprs activated to my hand set.

2. Whenever I went on the internet with my N95, I had a option how I wished to connect - my netgear router or Mobile web etc.
With N97, It chooses which one I have set on priority, but sometimes I dont want that one. Can I have it so that it asks me everytime I connect like N95?
If I restart my phone, my internet brower gets defaulted to the telus web page. When I press the menu button the "go to" button is gone. My "go to" button for internet browsing is there when it isn't on the Telus Web page. In the telus web page i can't get to google or facebook or anything. How do I get my "go to" button back in my browsing. I have both a Internet Browser and a Telus Web icon, but both go to the telus web page- still with no "go to" button in the menu.
