I just completed a system upgrade on my Mototola Droid Razr. It now vibrates on any text input (Text or internet input). Phone dialer is ok, just all other word input. I have unchecked or checked everything that was normal under the old Android version. Currently using 4.1.2 android version.
View 3 RepliesThis really bothers me. I cannot figure out how to disable this. I disable the Motorola input app but it still shows up in the notification bar every time I type anything. I am using SwiftKey 3. The setting to unchecked Motorola input is Grey so it will not a allow me to fully disable it. Does anyone else using a third party keyboard know how to get rid of this?
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince the update or attempt to install the Swype beta I've had a problem with text boxes not receiving characters entered by the keyboard or voice command. I can pull up a search or text message or email. All of them will allow the keyboard to display and it vibrates to let me know I'm pressing characters, but nothing ever actually appears in the window. Same for voice input. It appears to be working, but no words actualy appear in the text window.

All of the help instructions include steps and/or menu options that are not available on my phone. For example, I can do Options, Language and Text Options, but "Show Text Input Options" does not appear. I also cannot get to the referenced check box anywhere for Predictive Text Input. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd been sending text messages during the evening, then I went to reply to a text as normal and the keyboard had changed without me doing anything? It changed from the normal "qwerty" keyboard to the old style keyboard, with the abc on button "a", def on button "b", ghi on button "c" if that makes sense, like on old phones?It was like that all night. Switched my phone off at night as normal, switched it back on again in the morning and it was back to the "qwerty" keyboard again. Does anyone know what caused this to happen, it was really strange!!And I quite liked that old style keyboard, I dont know what the technical term for it is, but it was much quicker and less mistakes typing a message than the qwerty keyboard?

A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
Droid Razr 16, google speech app - when using speech app to dictate text mesage, and more than one sent to same person in short period of time (5-10 minutes), the first text message is resent rather than the second text message which has been dictated and appears in the confirmation/edit window. Verizon Wireless tech support was stumped, and no help in the online motorola tech support either.

I notice that if I manually add words to the user dictionary (through the settings menu -> Language & keyboard -> User dictionary -> add), then these words do not appear in the as word suggestions when I am typing. I have my setting set to the default of "substitute letters only" for the slide-out and "automatically correct words" for the on-screen keyboard. Secondly, the automatic word suggestion feature often repeatedly suggests old spelling mistakes to me which is quite annoying. I would like a feature where I can also view, edit and delete words which have been automatically added to the automatic dictionary.

I initially had to hard reset my X2 because the data encryption feature caused some unwanted effects, i.e. the data encryption feature did not work properly. Since that hard reset, I left the default keyboard input method as multi-touch. Just today I thought I woud like to try Swype. However once I bring up the keyboard input options and select the radio button by Swype, it stays greyed out. Are there some possibly 'lock out' options I might have selected that doesn't allow me to select Swype? I know Swype works because I had it before the hard reset.

I am using the Razrs text messaging app when I try to delete I get all the correct prompts to delete any message. When I select the last prompt to delete, you go back to the message list. The actual message appears to be deleted but you still see all the people or group you sent to or received from, which makes no sense to me. I have tried deleting and rebooting the device no change.

I recently upgraded to the Razr MAXX HD from a HTC Droid Incredible. On the HTC Dinc, when reading an article or something on the phone, if you pinched to zoom making the text larger, it would automatically reformat to fit the width of the phone, so you didn't have to scroll right/left to read the entire line. The MAXX HD doesn't seem to do this. If I pinch and zoom in on text, it just makes the text bigger but doesn't reformat it to fit the width of the phone, so I have to scroll left/right to read the entire line.

If I select it so her name shows it the contact field then send a text message, it ends up under her husbands conversation. It appears to have been sent to her husband.But I don't get replies.
