Aug 23, 2012I have attempted to register my new Photon Q numerous times, logging out, logging back in, and approaching from several different angles using different "Register" links on different pages, and trying MEID and IMEI.When using MEID HEX the server will check the S/N and reply that my IMEI S/N is in warranty, then several seconds later it will overlay the screen with a complaint from the server:"There was an issue with the serial number you entered or it was blank. Please try again."One can dismiss that complaint and continue with the attempted registration, selecting carrier, MFN, and Primary Device, adding purchase date and clicking submit, but that only take one to abject failure:"There has been an error with your request."Perhaps it is because the Photon Q is so new? Perhaps it is because your registration page has a problem.

If my phone is locked and I am using a pin number for security, the phone never asks me to input my pin number once I place the phone in the cardock. The phone wakes up, unlocks and goes to the car dock screen. This is a bit scary, if that is all a person has to do to gain access to a locked phone.

Jul 15, 2012When my phone is not in the navigation dock, the voice-guided GPS navigation works fine. But when I place the phone in the navigation dock, the voice-guided GPS navigation is suppressed so that there is no sound emitting from the devices speaker.

Jul 6, 2012Is it possible to restore bbm contact back up from my previous device? I have switched to Torch 9810 from Bold 2. I have backed up all bbm contacts wirelessly via an email account. The problem is my Torch 9810 crashed (JVM error 545) which had forced me to wipe out the device and load new OS before I back up my bbm contact wirelessly on the new device. I have also backed up to my pc via Blackberry Desktop Software and Blacberry Protect but when I restore it didn't restore BBM contacts only phonebook contact.I thought I can restore using my email on this Torch but no.its also seems to be linked to my PIN number. Thus, when i try to restore using my email it said "no account linked to this email" :-(

BB Tour 9630 :: Price Value Of Previous Device Drop On New Release
Feb 14, 2010I'm waiting for the Tour 2 to be released, but no one really seems to know when it's coming. Apparently it was supposed to be Feb 3, but was delayed. So then we were hearing it could be as late as April or May. I knew I couldn't wait that long so I bought a Tour on ebay last week. Now, just as I figured would happen, we're hearing it could be as early as within this week and if not, pretty much for sure within the next 30 days.
So I'm just wondering if you all think the price value of Tours on ebay will drop once the Tour 2 is released? I'm contemplating just turning around and selling mine now so I can be sure to get what I paid for it. But if the selling price will most likely stay the same even after the Essex is out, I'll probably just wait it out. I just don't want to lose a lot of money on the deal when I might only be using the phone for just a couple weeks!

Motorola Photon 4G :: Device Acts Like Windows XP From Time To Time?
Aug 9, 2011I have noticed this device act like windows XP. What I am refering to is, the device OS is working but I try to open apps and nothing is happening, I can hit the home key and the apps button and they work but opening any apps nothing will happen. Sometime the apps will partialy open but sit there.
What i noticed when this is happening is the device is syncing. I am assuming it is doing my facebook, picasa, you tube, and twitter sync. Somethimes it recovers and works and sometimes it has the sync symbol an hour later and I have to reboot the device.

Jan 24, 2012using Photon 4G with Airtel prepaid sim with system version 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en, Whenever I run short codes (USSD codes) like *123# to check my prepaid GSM balance or interact with service provider by *121# it takes long time showing USSD code running.. and after few mins either shows MMI successfully complete or MMI failed but doesnt actually show the text which is shown in my other GSM phones; to query balance or activate some service. Tried forums but no concrete solution.

Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. Jan 9, 2012I have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.

Oct 28, 2011Has anyone seen / experienced this? When I have my photon in the car dock and using the GPS, I am unable to receive incoming calls. My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot

For example, I created a competition for a few friends, however, they didn't log in to motoactv for a couple days so all the biking they did prior to accepting the competition was not counted. There really ought to be a away for the competition creator to accept previous workouts to count towards their total. Or just allow all workouts that took place after the competition started to count, regardless of when they accepted the invitation. Additionally, workouts will occasionally disappear from the competition page, as though they never happened. They'll still appear everywhere else on the motoactv website but not on the competition page.
