I have Android 2.3.3, on a droid x and when I search in firefox all previous searchs are there. I have tried history eraser and even though it says that it is clearing them out they still remain?

My boyfriend went onto my maps to search for something, and lost it because an address (that I haven't looked up since I had my previous android) showed up in 'recent searches' ... WHY every past search I've made, even on another phone, are showing up on this new one?!

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen recieving a new text message and tapping on the notification, the text messaging app always opens to a previous point in the conversation, several messages up from the latest text that I just recieved. This means that every time I get a new text, after opening up the text messaging app I have to scroll down to see what the latest message actually was.I am using SwfitKey (an altnernative keyboard) currently, but the issue happens with the standard keyboard as well. I figured it could be because swiftkey is popping up and blocking the bottom few messages, forcing me to scroll down to see them, but this does not appear to be the case, unless every keyboard is doing this.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy daughter (who lives in another town) and I just switched from Samsung Mesmerize to Electrify phones. We both have D-Link DIR-655 routers in our homes. Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. We're both running Win7 and both use our routers successfully on other wireless devices in our homes.

I have a new 8530 used for work. I went into the calendar options on the device and told it to keep calendar appointments forever (learned the hard way from a previous Blackberry) and yet when it syncs the calendar it wants to delete appointments older than sixty days everytime I try to sync.
I've looked all over the boards here for options but so far I think I've done everything anyone suggests. I really hope this isn't just something I have to learn to live with or a price to pay for having a Blackberry.We don't use Enterprise Server yet, so my device syncs by plugging it directly into my computer at work.
My daughter has given me her old blackberry torch 9800. Having added my email address and it works well, but in "set-up" it shows email accounts (2) will my daughters email also shown.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the BB and purchased an 8330 on ebay. Everythings seems to be fine, except, not all of the pervious owner info was deleted before I got it.. I was able to go into the user info by deleting and adding my own and that worked fine. I was able to activate the phone ok.However, when I set up the email account info for my web mail account, it created an additional account and didn't replace the old owners Gmail account.
I receive my emial fine but when I reply from the phone it goes our through the Gmail and not my webmail account. Both Icons are on the screen and I have set "Hide" and "Show All". If I uncheck "Show All" the Icon disappears. If I recheck the "Show All" it is back so it must still be active in background. (I do this uncheck by opening the Browser Icon.) The old name is still there on that Gmail account.
How do I get rid of this old user info, so it won't haunt me anymore?

Yesterday, I finally managed to disable the Verizon Wireless Backup Assistant because I only want my Droid to sync with my Gmail contacts. Can I delete all the contacts stored in my device and force it to sync with my Gmail contacts?
I've also noticed my device contacts list seems to be pulling all sorts of information from all sorts of places (I'm listed in my contacts list with an old street address, for instance). Is there a way I can tell where the device is pulling contact info from?

Whith my Droid when I delete a email it still stays on server and therefore shows up as unread in Outlook.
Having problems deleting messages from my POP Cox email account on the Droid A855. Once the messages have been deleted everything is fine, but if I shut the phone down and power up again, all the previous messages that were deleted appear back in my Cox "In" Box. Seems like a continuous cycle of deleting for some reason. Don't know why the messages keep coming back.

I tried the motocast utility that is supposed to sync music from my PC to my phone. This utility is not for me and I've uninstalled it on my PC. The problem is I now have thousands of what I call "Ghost Images" in the music player that I do not want. I'd like to just wipe the music player clean and start over. How can I do this? I can't find any method to delete anything from the music player.

From what I can tell, the app that is taking up the most internal space is MotoNav at 17.73 MB (= 17.49 MB of data and 248 KB of app). My trial period has already expired though it appears I can still use it now (I'm assuming with its existing maps).I've read it's hard to remove MotoNav from the phone because it's a system app. That's fine but what happens if I just want to delete all the data from this app? Is that ok? Are there any long term ramifications to do that? What happens if say, I chose to buy an activation key for it at a later date? Will I be able to redownload all that data (the maps, etc) again?
