I just rollerbladed for 1 hour and 13 minutes, for 8 miles. I am 275 pounds. It told me I only burned 183 calories. That can't possibly be correct. The GPS did track the whole route, and it did get the whole amount of time. What is the issue with this?
I do have my MotoACTV set up correctly with my height, weight, and age.
I'm a little concerned about the calorie counts it's been giving me; they seem too high. Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be my unit, or was I just underestimating my calorie burn before?

My device is not paired with any phone and because it's new, it's got the most recent s/w already installed. I checked the Wake Device field on the watch and it was set. Am I missing something or is there an exsiting problem for these symptoms? The MotoACTV s/w version MA 1.7.12 N8.

This morning when I went to put on the device, Steps Count was at Zero (As Expected) and Calorie Count was at 3500. I would tyically see a count of 500 - 600 in the morning. View 11 Replies View RelatedI am currently using a variable stride elliptical trainer Precor 100i.When using device with watchband, the step count always shows zero.When using the device with armband, the step count is very inconsistent depending on the orientation on the arm (i.e. 40 50 % Difference Between workouts).When using the device with the hip clip the device is consistent within 5% which is good enough.In regards to the watchband. The directions say to not place your hands on the stationary part of the Elliptical.That make sense and since my hands are on the moving parts of the Elliptical I would assume that the multi-axis accelerometer would not have an issue keeping the step count.

As a test I set a goal to walk 200 miles. Since then I have logged 2 rounds of golf (10 miles) but the miles do not count towards my walking goal. But they do count towards my second goal of working out 3 times a week. How do i fix this since golf is my primary walking sport. I want credit for the miles to show in my goal.

But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

I use Outlook (2003), used gsyncit to get all of my contacts to Goggle (deleted all previous contacts). My Outlook shows 1436 contacts. My Google (google.com/contacts) shows 1436. I have a table (Toshiba) and the contacts in it (showing only the google contacts) is also 1,436. BUT, the Razr did show 1434 on the initial sync, now shows 1,433 contacts. View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I have had this phone (Since the first day it was available) I have never really had a great experience with the GPS on this phone. The problem is very random, basically at some point I will try to use a app that uses a GPS location like Gas Buddy and it will report a location from hours or days previous. Most of the time I can turn off the GPS and turn it on and it will work. But some times I need to reboot the phone. In addition to the that problem if I am using Google navigation, Telnav or Waze it will make a look and start navigating then states it lost GPS and it never gets it back. At that point I have to reboot the phone as nothing else will work to resolve the problem.

They ship it with Auto correct OFF! I came to this phone after 4+ years of blackberrying. I knew the soft keyboard was going to be an adjustment, but with the Photon it was REALLY bad out of the gate. I'd type something, see that I miss-typed it, then I'd have to select the correct word out of the list above the keyboard (assuming it had some idea of what I was after). Very tedious... So I went poking around in the settings and saw they had a auto-correct setting and it was turned OFF!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been copying data over to a 32GB SanDisk MicroSDHC (Class 4) card via the Android File Transfer app via USB. I am noticing that the file sizes do not match between the local HDD directory on my mac and the AFT app. Here are two examples: 1> a text document shows as 2.2MB within Finder, but in the AFT it shows as 2.1MB; 2> a Video file shows as 132.6MB in Finder and in AFT it shows as 126.4MB. I have confirmed that I can open the text file and play the video, so I'm not sure why the file sizes are off. I am also seeing AFT not displaying directories which are indeed present on the SDCard. These directories are not empty. I can access them via both ES Explorer and the Terminal app on the device, but when I plug in the device to USB and fire up AFT, the directories/files are not present.

The phone is great but this is sad, what good is such a well hardware'd phone when you can't get service. I live in NYC, one of Sprint's strongest regions. To date, I haven't been anywhere where I have received 4 bars of service. Since the phone can't, I manually updated the PRL, and lo and behold, it STILL is AWFUL. It's disappointing. Incredibly disappointing. I presume Motorola is fixing the auto-correct issue with an update.The signal is excusable if it's a matter of hardware, but the keyboard simply is not. For 300$, I think I paid for the stock keyboard to have auto-correct.
