I've tried using Motocast to play my music but it seems to ignore the track number at the start of a file name and just plays the tracks in alphabetical order not the order they are on the album.
How can I get Motocast to play the tracks on an album in the correct order?
When i play my music, the albums do not play in song order, shuffle is OFF.
All the info in ITUNES is correct
play the mp3-files in a directory in the correct order? I already tried "m3u"-playlist, tagging the files with id3 and giving the files names like 001-song.mp3. Nothing worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get a definitive answer as have been researching this for weeks and despite my best efforts still have no solution.I am using the fantastic N900 (well done Nokia!) and would like all my music on the device. All efforts so far have transferred music ok but album tracks always appears in alphabetical order in the music player as opposed to the album track order(not much good). This is despite careful tagging and trying with Windows Media Player, Media Monkey & Songbird to see if any work best.
I found out today that this might be due to the file being a .wma file. All my music is ripped to my PC in .wma as in my experience I find the quality vs file size is great and better by far than .mp3.Today I ripped a CD with WMP as .mp3 and after sync the track order was correct (although I do not want to use WMP through choice and certainly not .mp3, let alone re rip my entire CD Collection), my preference would be Media Monkey or Songbird with .wma.
Is this a bug or N900 problem? (I know they are different but it worked fine on N97 and N95 8gb previously with MM and .wma) Can anyone help? or even offer a recommendation or suggestion as to what they think is best format, application or way to have music on the N900 etc.
I recently replaced my iPhone 3GS with a new iPhone 4S. The album art is fine when viewed via my iMac in iTunes, but when I sync an album to my phone, it gives it a random album cover from my library instead of the correct one. I go to iTunes and manually re-upload the album art but when I sync again it's still incorrect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was listening to one of my playlists on my 5s and was looking at the album cover on the "Now Playing" screen. Playlist was on shuffle, and when the next track came on, no artwork. I hit the back button to see the playlist, and every song had converted to a black box with with the album artist and title printed diagonally.
I had not added anything, or synced to iTunes during this time. I did, however, purchase one track from iTunes directly to my phone earlier in the day. Interestingly, that most recent track is the only one that still has artwork. I have a 32gb, with 3.5gb available, if that matters. I turned the phone off and on, then hooked up to my computer's iTunes, highlighted all albums and clicked "get album artwork," watched as the ticker at the top of the screen scrolled through the numbers of albums being updated. Once finished, synced iPhone to the computer. Â
What caused every piece of artwork and genre icon pics to be removed in the course of a playlist shuffling from one track to the next?Â

I guess after the update it has decided it won't post the correct temp in the taskbar.. I cleared the cache in the app.. The only way it shows the correct temp is to reboot the Xoom.. I open weather bug and the temperature is right but isn't what shows in the taskbar nor does it update it in the taskbar.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been copying data over to a 32GB SanDisk MicroSDHC (Class 4) card via the Android File Transfer app via USB. I am noticing that the file sizes do not match between the local HDD directory on my mac and the AFT app. Here are two examples: 1> a text document shows as 2.2MB within Finder, but in the AFT it shows as 2.1MB; 2> a Video file shows as 132.6MB in Finder and in AFT it shows as 126.4MB. I have confirmed that I can open the text file and play the video, so I'm not sure why the file sizes are off. I am also seeing AFT not displaying directories which are indeed present on the SDCard. These directories are not empty. I can access them via both ES Explorer and the Terminal app on the device, but when I plug in the device to USB and fire up AFT, the directories/files are not present.

I have
1. Samsung backup set up via the backup/restore options
2. Google sync via accounts and backup via backup/restore options
3. Helium backup "carbon" folder copied to my PC
Which is the best to restore from? Is there a certain order i should do it? Can i ignore any of the options listed above? I only ask this as Helium is denied backup to certain apps e.g. WhatsApp etc.
I've noticed on different websites and forums that people are having problem attaching album covers to albums they've added to their native Xoom music player. In order to ensure all your music has the appropriate albums attached, I would suggest using Windows Media Player. The steps are as follows.
Step 1. Add music to the "Library" with the list of songs from your artist of choice.
Step 2. Then browse to the album that is missing art.
Step 3. Using either Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer, in another window, find a picture that you want to use for album art (the picture can be in a file on your computer or on a webpage), right-click the picture, and then click Copy.
Step 4. In your library, right-click the album art box, and then click Paste Album Art.
A copy of the picture is embedded into each of the songs from that album. The copy of the picture is automatically scaled to the appropriate size and converted to the JPEG format before it is embedded in the file. The original picture file is not modified.
Step 5. Drag files from your library to the "Sync" tab, then sync songs to your Xoom. Now when you check your Xoom you should have all the album artwork attached to your albums.
I've made some playlists in my iTunes. I've named them Remix 1, Remix 2, etc. I have the songs in a specific order in the playlist on iTunes but when I sync the playlist to my iPhone, they are in a different order.In each song in my playlist, I click on the 'info' tab and put # in the 'track number' but that doesn't help.

Realized soon after that my local REI had it in stock and I had a xmas gift certificate. Went to REI and purchased it - (Canceled my order for the Garmin 910XT in the process) Went back to the site to try and cancel my order but the 'Cancel items or order' button on my order page wasnt' functional. No biggie, I'll call. After being passed around to the same 3 depts TWICE, I was finally told the ecommerce section was closed for the weekend. Once again, I understand that.I then call on Monday, they tell me the order hasn't yet shipped but I'm not allowed to cancel it at that point. Don't quite understand and getting a bit frustrated at this point but whatever, I'll deal. Customer rep tells me that they'll issue a return slip and email it to me.

I call, go through the same 3 depts again and get someone else who tells me that it takes a while to get the return slip but I'll have it within 24 hours.24 hours goes by, I call again and get hung up on 3 times in the process before I can ever get to anyone. I've recently got my hands on a Nokia 6600 Slide, and I'm quite happy with it. I would also like to use it as my personal music player, but I have one issue.When I listen to music, I mostly listen to the whole albums, and in the case of most albums I listen to, the track order matters a lot. However, when I copy an album from my hard disk to the memory card of my phone, I cannot get the album to play in the correct track order.
For instance, I click "Play" on an album I select in the Music Player application. Then, rather than playing tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and so on, it plays track 4, 3, 6, 2, 7, 1, and so on - this track order is always the same (for one album at least), and it seems I cannot correct it. The "shuffle" function is turned off, mind you. The files are usually named "number. title.mp4", or "artist - number - title.mp4", and they all have track tags.
How can I can combine two tracks so that they always play together even when I shuffle the tracks? An example is Jackson Browne's "Loadout" and "Stay".

I have just bought the X10 mini and tried to copy everything from my W995 phone/card to my SD card. However now I can only play mp3 tracks, not wma,is there anything I can do about this? And also my pics were nicely arranged in individual folders on the W995, now they're everywhere.

The problem is that most of my albums are mixed CDs, and they skip between tracks when I play them on the NEO.It's driving me crazy! Is there any solution to this aside from downloading a different music app, or just sticking it out with my ipod?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI create a folder on my laptop an paste 50 photos in it. Then, I rename all photos with numbers 000-050. On my Windows laptop, the photos are sorted correctly (001, 002, 003, ... 049, 050).
However, after copying the entire folder to my 1020, some of the photos are not sorted correctly anymore. A few of them appear somewhere in the middle of my album (folder). The problem is on the phone only.When I connect the phone with my laptop, the photos in the folder (on the laptop) is shown correctly.
I have a problem with the sd card on my Xoom wifi with Android 4.0.4. I have my music collection on an sd card which is loaded in my Xoom. Initially the music plays fine in the Google Play Music App, but after using the tablet for a day or two the music will no longer play. I get a message that the music cannot be played. This message then appears when attempting to play any music on the sd card.
I can temporarily fix the problem by erasing the Media Storage and Google Play Music data or resetting the tablet as suggested by gmanapps, but the problem repeats itself. I also tried syncing/not syncing with Google Music, disabling the Google Play Music app and using an alternate player, and formatting the sd card.
In general I have been happy with my Xoom, but this issue really concerns me. Does this point to a larger problem of stability in the Android file structure?
I've tried converting them to mpeg, but that didn't work. My Canon SX40HS outpuuts AVCHD lite video, but none of the Android movie players I've tried so far will play them. have a recommendation for native AVCHD Lite video players?
