BB Software :: Can't Send Email Over Wifi
Sep 1, 2010I am not able to send email over the wi fi connection. I recieve it but can't respond or send an email that I compose. Also, I do not get the option to send from the general message folder even though it allows me to compose or reply from that location. I tried to get into the setup menu to check my email settings but it won't let me in there without connection to a mobil network, and I live in a dead spot, so the wi fi is critical. Do I have to go find a mobil connection to access these settings?

Jun 27, 2012I cant send or recieve email on my iPhone / iPad when on WIFI - when I turn off WIFI, it all works fine on 3G. I tried to delete my exchange-account, and then both gmail accounts works fine on wifi. Any thoughts? or rather; I think maybe it sends/recieves, but it takes a very long time.

Every once in a while a call doesn't go through to my house phone or answering machine - just my cell and I end up not know about the call for quite a while. I always have email turned on so I thought having my cell phone email about the missed call would be a good way to be notified. Aug 26, 2011I retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone

Problem is that while I can receive email with the native app on my DRIOID Bionic, I can't send email. Motorola telephone support helped me get it set up correctly (send and receive) with K9, but it's only receiving with the native app. (Support pretty much bailed at that point.) How can I get it to send also with the native app?

Apr 26, 2012I just realized that as of April 19, I have not been able to send anything on my Outlook Exchange email accoutn. It's receiving just fine, but my Outbox is full of unsent mail! I remember a problem we had in the past with not being able to reply to messsages, but these are both replies and new messages. My settings are all exactly the same as my DroidX phone, which sends just fine. I have a command at the top of my Outbox that says "Send All Messages," but it doesn't do anything.I've rebooted a couple of times, with no change.

Jun 26, 2011this is honestly the worst phone I have ever owned. I had a blackberry that about a month ago stopped getting about half the emails I should have gotten. After a month of talking with IT about this and trying all kinds of fixes I gave up and decided to get and android phone to bypass the blackberry servers I assumed were the culprit. Well I am going to return this phone tomorrow and use my blackberry again. Yes, after 5 days of trying ever possible setting I have given up. I had the emails working for about 5 minutes and then after setting up a gmail account they stopped. I did a reset on the phone thinking this would help. Nope. And today mysteriously my old gmail account showed up even though I never set it up. Google is evil. And this phone is a piece of crap.
One of the big problems with this phone are the additional security settings under the advanced settings for incoming and outgoing servers. Out of about 10 Motrola IT people I talked to on the phone or chatted with had no idea what these were. I kept asking if they were for SSL and no one knew. Then yesterday I was told by the only intelligent person they are an additional secruity password you can get from your ISP and are similar to SSL keys. I had them checked (the port numbers will automatically change) the first time I had the phone working. But unchecked them and was able to sent two emails to my own email address and yet received no other emails yesterday as a test. Today I tried to send myself another email and it didn't go through though it appeared on my desktop.

Oct 17, 2011I am unable to send an email with a new attachment via my corporate email. It does not matter if the attachment is 50kb or 1mb. I tried to do the same via GMail and had no issues. If I receive a corporate email with an attachment, I can forward that without any issues. The problem is when I add an attachment to an email. I also tried using Touchdown which had the same issue.
I have tried the following:
checked exchange / activesync settings to verify no restrictions reformatted the sd card, even though attachments were not on there. couple of reboots removing and re-adding the corporate account

Feb 17, 2012I have a single corporate email account setup (Settings/Accounts), the account syncs correctly when on 4G/3G. It also syncs correctly on Wi-Fi as long as I force the phone to stay awake (scroll on the screen/push a button every so often to keep the phone awake). However when using Wi-Fi and I hit the power button shutting the screen off putting the phone to sleep, it causes my corporate sync account to throw a "Connection Error" icon (orange triangle with exclamation point in the middle) at the top of the screen. Why do I think it is a sleeping/Wi-Fi issue? Because if on Wi-Fi and I hit the power button and wait a few seconds and hit it again turning the screen on the CE icon is there. If I force the screen to stay on (method above) I never get the error. If I switch my Razr to use 4G/3G and try the same power button on/off test method, I never get the error.
I have confirmed in my Wi-Fi settings Wi-Fi Sleep policy is set to Never and I do not have any Smart Actions turning Wi-Fi off. This seemed to have happened after the .173 update. I have also forced my phone to connect to another Access Point in my house to try and isolate this issue to an AP problem but my Razr exhibits the same behavior. Also confirmed in My Accounts|Corporate Sync|Server Settings "Verify Server" that I get "Success!" in the Verification Result Window.

BB Bold 9700 :: Send Email Cannot Sent Individual Email Folders
Jan 14, 2010I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem please. I have recently purchased a BB-Bold 9700 and transferred my settings from my old Bold. I have to email addresses (both Gmail) registered which appear on my main screen. The push email works fine! However, whenever I send an email, I cannot see the sent mail in the individual email folders but only in the main messages folder which is very annoying and confusing. Here's what I have tried sofar:
1. I tried to go into options and mark "No" in the section indicated hide my sent messages.
2. I tried going into filter and ticking sent messages. They appear but once you press the back button they disappear again.
3. I tried going onto the BB website and I successfully downloaded the newest software update (5.0.0.4) but still it did not resolve the problem....
Do I need to wipe off the whole device? Can someone please help because I'm very confused and frustrated with this issue.....
