View 1 RepliesI used Google's https: market.android.com to transfer all my apps from my Droid 1 to my Bionic. By and large it was seemless and quick. However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOkay, so I have a Droid Turbo, the ballistic nylon kind. And every time I try to send a message, it keeps saying "Unfortunately, messaging has stopped," and takes me back to the messaging screen where I can see all the messages I have. The text I tried to send then says its still sending and I have to try two or three times before it will work. I deleted nearly all of my apps, turned my phone off and on again, and deleted nearly all of my messages. It just now started doing this and is beyond frustrating. I do not know what to do. I couldn't find any other people with this same problem. What do I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out if it is me or do other people have their homescreen crash when returnig back to it from about anything? By crashing I mean that you return from the camera, online, text message, or whatever and your homescreen has to rebuild itself. Mine is doing it more than its not and was wondering if its an app i have installed or do others crash too?

View 12 Replies View RelatedIt's a Droid 2 Global, running Android 2.2, System version is 2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US. This is my second device, same problem. When using GPS for anything (and I mean anything) it throws errors into logcat, showing specifically:
DATE TIME [ERROR] AKMD2(1167) x = x-axis y = y-axis z = z-axis
I can attest that this does not happen on the Droid X, which is virtually the same hardware/software. Hard reset, wiping the phone, factory reset, et al, all of those are not the solution. AKMD2 is part of the Droid 2 Global operating system. It's how this device's version of Android communicates with the GPS/compass hardware, a "driver" if you will. Every D2G has AKMD2, and this is my 2nd one showing an error.
Been trying to figure out the gallery since I got the phone. It lumps every photo I have into 1 Album even though I have them in folders. They are on the internal memory. I made a folder called Media / My Pix // and Media / My Flix. I know On my HTC it read my folders and grouped then which was nice.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAm looking for any insight on how to clear thumbnails of pictures/videos from my gallery that have already been deleted off my phone. I have already tried powering off/on my phone, removing/replacing my battery and unmounting/remounting SD card. Have also tried going to Settings> Applications> Gallery and then clearing the data to see if it would reset the gallery but the thumbnails remain. Also went to the Gallery> All photos (and All videos)> Menu> Select Items and checked the photos and videos I wanted removed and then tried to delete them again but still the thumbnails remain.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI know this isn't a serious issue at all (it's hardly an issue) but I was wondering if anyone else feels that the pinch zoom feature in the gallery is a bit too choppy? It is smoother when zooming in on lower resolution photos but not so much on larger files. I just thought it was odd and a bit wonky to use.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI gave up on connecting my phone to my computer shortly after getting it two years ago. Mostly because the Motorola software interface killed my computer.I should be able to just connect the phone and move things like I would from any external memory device, just copy and paste or move, etc.Specifically, I'd like to move my photos from the gallery to my computer (without emailing them to myself).I have Windows 7 and currenty when I connect the phone my PC can't find the driver, so the phone won't show up in My Computer, so I can't do anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my DX, whenever I went to the Gallery, I was presented with the folders on my SD card that contained photos and videos. One folder I had was called "Wallpapers". On the DX2, all photos and videos get lumped together and there is no way of navigating to the folder that contains the photos or videos you want to see or play.I understand that there is a way to "group" photos and videos by day, week, or month. Fine. But why not also let you group them by the folders they are in on your SD card?If you click on "My library" and then click on the "My Library: Timeline" drop-down button at the top of the screen, you get a popup that shows you can view your "My library" by Albums, Locations, Tags, and Timeline. Again, why not also include the folders that they are in on your SD card? I was hoping that was what viewing your library by "Albums" would be, but that's not the case. When I click on that, I get two albums: "All videos" and "All photos". Not very convenient if you want to view a particular movie, video clip, or photo. I don't want to have to sort through a folder containing ALL of the videos or ALL of the photos.
Here's the problem as I see it in practice:Say you want to change your wallpaper. Okay, long-press on your home screen and select "Wallpapers". Now, select where you want to pull your wallpaper from. "Gallery". On my DX, it would take me to the Gallery and it would show separate folders for Camera, All Photos, and the folder I created for all of my wallpapers, called "Wallpapers". So then I could click on the "Wallpapers" folder and easily select the image I wanted as my wallpaper.ith the DX2, after long-pressing on your home screen and selecting "Wallpapers" and then "Gallery" as the source, it takes you straight to ALL of your pictures. I have more than 1,700 on my SD card so I don't want to scroll through all of them just to find the wallpaper images I saved that are mixed in with photos I took with my phone, downloaded images, etc. Sure, if you click on the Menu button and select "Group by", you can group all of the thousands of images by Day, Week, or Month, but again that doesn't help since who the heck knows when those wallpapers were created?
Got a picture sent to my X from my son's X. He took the photo in portrait mode. When I received it, as I was holding the phone upright (portrait) the photo was showing sideways. I rotated the phone, and the photo rotated yet again so its again sideways to the orientation of the phone. The only way to see the photo in the correct orientation is to hold the phone upside down, i.e. hard buttons at the top. I never noticed this before and it doesn't do it with pictures that were already on the phone. I looked at the one he took on his phone and it is in the correct orientation. I opened the picture both in the stock messaging app and in Handcent and its the same in both.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt doesnt group any of my pictures into files even though they are saved that way on my SD card. They are all grouped under All pictures. I also have a problem with the gallery just duplicating pictures randomly. I have only took 6 pictures since i got the phone and it shows i have 437 all most of them are all the same picture. Does anyone else have this same problem? I have tried using the .nomedia trick but that doesnt even work either so i need some help or i will have to return the phone this weekend.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a japanese Motorola Razr 201M by Softbank.I have a problem with my gallery. Recently my SD card got full while I was taking pictures, and so the new saved pictures were moved automatically to the internal memory. Now, each time I take a photo or a video, it is automatically saved to a "DCIM" folder in the device storage (the photos taken with the Facebook app are saved in the same folder too).Since the folder changed, I have problems with camera apps like the default camera app, the facebook camera app or the paper camera app. They freeze each time I try to take a picture.I also have a problem with the gallery app, which cannot upload (display?) the photos and videos I took anymore. It is refreshing, but nothing shows up.I would like to restore the default gallery folder in the SD card, so that each time I take a photo or a video, it is saved in my SD card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a relatively new Razr M. I have taken several pictures with it over the past 2 months with no problems. Starting a few days ago, I am having this problem: I'll be viewing photos in the gallery, and all of the sudden the photos go blank. There is just a gray square. I can flip from gray square to gray square -- no image shows. If I go back to the main gallery, it may or may not show pictures. There might just be gray squares, or all the pictures might be there. I have tried turning my phone off, then back on. The pictures will show up initially, but then when I start flipping through them, suddenly they turn to gray squares again. I have transferred the pictures to my computer, just to make sure they are saved somewhere. But can't figure out why they will show up and then turn to gray squares.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy photo gallery is a mess. There are many duplicates and two thumbnail directories. I would like to wipe it out and reimport photos from my PC. How the photo directories are arranged on the Droid Razr. If viewed in a file browser it appears that all of the subdirectories branch off the DCIM directory. However I have the following with multiple copies of each photo.
DCIM/.thumbnails/.thumbnails
There is also a "pictures" directory. What photos go into thumbnails? Which photos go into "Pictures"? What are the .spmo files? If I merge all of the thumbnails into one directory, is there going to be a problem with the files called "thumbdata3"? What will be best file structure and how to best organize it.
