View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm just wondering if anyone has had this one problem as well. I literally just upgraded from the 9700 to the 9900, less than a week ago. Havent had much time to put all my contacts onto the new phone and only added a couple of appsOn tuesday, my phone just randomly shut off while i was texting someone. After restarting it, i was on a web site, reading and it randomly shut off again.o, in total i believe my phone has randomly shut off on me about 6-7 times since Tuesday. I thought it could be a battery life thing, but i had a minimum half battery each time and the phone turns back on right after it shuts off.ll the software for the phone is all up to date. Just wondering if there's a solution? maybe did I just get a "lemon" for a phone? Maybe should I take it back to Bell or what should I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Droid 2 can be on in my pocket with the battery saver enabled (screen off, but phone still on) and at any given time that I check it, I press the power button and find that it's off. I then have to remove the battery and put it back in and then turn the phone back on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new Sony Xperia Z3. The problems I am experiencing are that all sony default apps crashing and some other apps aswell. Apps that have crashed are; the contacts app, the messenger app (not facebook), the homescreen app, the album app, the walkman and the movies app.
When they crash I get a message saying Unfortunately "app name", has stopped. The only way to make the app working again is to reset the phone. This happens quite often which is surprising since the phone is new and its a flagship device.
The second problem I am experiencing is the phone randomly resetting itself, this happens about once per day. I believe the reason for the random resets are the crashing apps. I think that because when I was using my phone all apps suddently crashen, then the phone just reset itself twice before it was usable again.
I have a 1320 that I got brand new back on Black Friday from Cricket. The problem is after it has been on for a while, the wireless and/or bluetooth or both shutoff. When I bring the status bar down, the wireless icon and/or the bluetooth icon will be cleared out and not active. If I try to turn it back on, nothing happens, the icons stay black. I reboot and usually that fixes it but not always. Sometimes I have to reboot it a couple of times.
Also my phone sometimes reboots when I'm using the GPS to track my bike rides when the phone is in my bag. I know that because when I get to the end of my ride and check the app, Cyclometer, it stays "it has been shut off, do you want to resume" or something to that effect and then I resume it and a portion of my ride is missing from when it apparently has rebooted. I also have had it reboot on me in the middle of something that doesn't happen often.
My phone is on 8.1 and has no more pending updates. this is eating up my data plan because I normally use wireless at home. I also can't use my bluetooth speaker while riding because if I connect my bluetooth speaker to my phone, the bluetooth will shut off after about 15-25 minutes of use. It first starts to become somewhat intermittent for couple of minutes then bluetooth shuts off altogether.
quite often when I press the power button to just shut the screen off on my Droid X, and then turn it on later, it says that theres no service for a second or two and it then returns to 3g. Is this happening to your Droid X too?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has been very random. did it in my pocket, out of my pocket, on the charger and off. The phone is not overly hot. warm only when on the charger or in my pocket. This morning I have rebooted it several times. (I hold the power button for 10 seconds.)
View 2 Replies View Related5.5.893 Lost connectivity. I could not get Wi-Fi or 4G. I have been doing restarts instead of battery pulls and that has been working until today. It totally locked up on the Power Off Shutting Down screen. I tried to force it off by pushing the power, up/down volume buttons and nothing happened. That may not be the correct procedure, I only find that to be a starting procedure after shutdown. I pulled the battery and it restarted fine. I also had missed a call while it was locked up because I had a voicemail after restart. I have been thinking of getting the RAZR only because it is slimmer. Am I comparing apples to oranges? What would I have to do if I couldn't pull the battery?
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe last few weeks my droid turbo has been acting up. The first time it shut down it showed 28% battery remaining, second time 33%, then again yesterday it shut down showing 73% then again showing 78%. Today it shut down again showing 78%.
I plug it in for ten minutes after each shutdown and it will work again and show that the batter level went up while charging.
Over the past week, I have gotten the following:
Sunday...2 random reboots
Monday..4
Tuessay 4
Today..6...6 random reboots out of no where.I bought device when it first came out and battery life has been issue..but recently, just this week, with ZERO additional apps downloaded, its rebooted on me as listed.
Okay, so I have a Droid Turbo, the ballistic nylon kind. And every time I try to send a message, it keeps saying "Unfortunately, messaging has stopped," and takes me back to the messaging screen where I can see all the messages I have. The text I tried to send then says its still sending and I have to try two or three times before it will work. I deleted nearly all of my apps, turned my phone off and on again, and deleted nearly all of my messages. It just now started doing this and is beyond frustrating. I do not know what to do. I couldn't find any other people with this same problem. What do I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out if it is me or do other people have their homescreen crash when returnig back to it from about anything? By crashing I mean that you return from the camera, online, text message, or whatever and your homescreen has to rebuild itself. Mine is doing it more than its not and was wondering if its an app i have installed or do others crash too?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI down loaded an app that required a barcode scanner. After installing the app. I noticed that when I clicked on the Camera Widget. The phone app would hang and force a close or indicate the camera App had failed to initialize. After some trouble shooting and back off the 2 apps I loaded I am still having intermitted issue with the camera app hanging or not initializing. how to reinitalize / reinstall the camera app without wiping out the phone and starting over?
View 12 Replies View RelatedMoto Droid Ver 2.2.2. Starting yesterday, I am getting frequent, ramndom re-boots. I say random because they occur if it is the dock, on a table, idle or not idle, middle of a call, etc. I have not down loaded anything from the market in at least a week. It has never done this in the 18 months I have had it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe only issue I have had on my Droid 3, to this point, as been the terrible battery I have experienced, even having bought an extended battery. It's good to hear that there will hopefully be a fix for this soon.
I am wondering if anyone else has been having their Droid 3 reboot randomly for no reason at all? I have never had this issue, but for the last 3 days, it's been happening over and over. It happened 3 times yesterday, 2 the day before, and now the second time today.
I don't know if this was even an issue for anyone since this device has apparently had more issues than most, and I've been spared from the majority of them.
I'm experiencing an issue with seemingly random changes to my nofications and ringtone settings. The email or event nofication is set to one of the stock audio files but gets altered to an audio book chapter or music file on my SD card. It's really weird to wake up to a voice reading chapter 14 of a book to me at 2:47 in the morning or to hear one of my music files suddenly start playing out of the blue. And my ringtone seems to bounce around from the one I've selected to one of the music files.
View 2 Replies View Related1. I can't do a system update on the phone, I choose it and it says "Checking for available updates. Please wait..." for up to an hour.
2. Often when I try and dial people it doesnt activate a call and will just stay on the same screen. Following this it will either then dial about 10 seconds later after I've given up, or just crash.
3. It now has a tendency of just turning itself off during calls.
4. It often is unresponsive when I reply to texts. I'll use the keypad to text words, and it will be registering the keystrokes as it will be giving me predictive text suggestions, but not actually recording the words.
My phone randomly wakes to the lock screen without me pushing anything. I have been nothing but frustrated since I got ICS. I have done everything including a factory data reset.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's a Droid 2 Global, running Android 2.2, System version is 2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US. This is my second device, same problem. When using GPS for anything (and I mean anything) it throws errors into logcat, showing specifically:
DATE TIME [ERROR] AKMD2(1167) x = x-axis y = y-axis z = z-axis
I can attest that this does not happen on the Droid X, which is virtually the same hardware/software. Hard reset, wiping the phone, factory reset, et al, all of those are not the solution. AKMD2 is part of the Droid 2 Global operating system. It's how this device's version of Android communicates with the GPS/compass hardware, a "driver" if you will. Every D2G has AKMD2, and this is my 2nd one showing an error.
Twice now in the last week I have had the Turbo cut off the phone call and go to the black and white splash screen with the M for Motorola logo and then reboot. It has never rebooted any other time on its own except these two times while on a call.
View 15 Replies View RelatedBoth my phone and my wife's phone have been randomly dialing another number during a active call. This causes the current call to drop without warning.
I thought it was my accidental error until it happened to her and then it reoccurred again and again on my phone.
I am having force closes of system processes on my bionic. I have done a factory reset several times to which a day later the issues recur. Are there any files or something I can flash that will allow me to try and format everything and start over? When the errors pop up I try to recreate the issue and one out of 5 times I am able to do so. I have tried battery pulls and several factory resets/wiping everything. It even froze up and force closed on my one time when I was about to do the reset..
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo Im new to the site and am in desperate need of a solution to keep the peace at my house. Its the weirdest thing on min her phone will show all of her contacts when she goes to check her text. In a matter of less than 5 mins the names will disappear and it will just show numbers. She puts the phone down and picks it back up later and its magic her contact names will show up with the messages. At no time do the contact names disappear from her actual address book tho.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Droid X2 seems to randomly change the tones I have set for contact specific rings, the default ringtone and notifications. I have done 2 factory resets and it keeps doing this. Is it a setting I am messing up or is it something wrong with my phone?
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe following has been happening since before the latest update, and continued after. My phone will randomly reboot itself (there doesn't seem to be any correlation with what I'm doing) and then hang at the rotating red logo.If I push the power button the display will turn off, but after that no buttons have any effects. If I plug the phone in the display comes back on to the unlock screen, but the touch screen is also unresponsive. The phone is definitely still running though, as my bluetooth headset will reconnect and time-based notifications will still happen (I have the phone set to beep every half hour). If I leave the phone sitting for a significant length of time I will notice it getting warm, and it will eventually reboot again and behave normally.Battery pull does nothing.Wiping the cache partition does nothing.I've done a factory reset before, and this makes the problem go away for a while, but it comes back.
