View 3 RepliesUnfortunately I got the ICS update a couple of weeks ago. I use my Razr Maxx as a business phone and since the update I can no longer email 'groups'. I have deleted the groups and entered them again....I have spent HOURS on the phone with Motorola and Verizon and all they keep doing is guessing at the cause. Motorola actually remotely accessed my phone and tried to figure out why this isn't working now with NO LUCK! I should be able to enter the group name in the To: and the group pull up. But it appears as though someone has FAILED to enable this simple function. Why in GOD's name even have 'groups'. I could do this on my blackberry in 2002. What a failure.
To be clear. This was no issue until the ICS update.it doesn't work on either Gmail or the Corp Exchange acct. This is clearly a failure and will take some type of update to fix.
The email on my Droid Turbo quit sending and receiving email about two weeks ago. The Gmail works but my other email doesn't. Email works fine on my computer but not my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI set up the corporate email app when I first got my droid turbo 4 weeks ago. I used the same settings that I did with my RAZR MAXX HD. initially replies were sent correctly but after about a week they became jammed up in the Outbox. I had to delete the account and started again but this time it only worked for 2 days.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble sending an audio text. In a new text message, I can "insert" audio, and hit "OK" and then send, but it does not actually send it. It does not give me a message that it has NOT been sent but it does not appear on the screen as a sent message..
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn two occasions now, I've sent a text message to a group using the Verizon message app. The first time, some contacts were in my contact list and others weren't. I entered their numbers putting a space after them. I send the message, and see the following: sent to some.
I then added all numbers to my contact list. The second time I sent a text, I just kept going back to the contact list and adding each person to the text. I sent it out, and again it says: sent to some. Why can I not send a group text?
With previous Android Motorola phones, there weren't issues with sending emails and showing in the Sent folder. But the Turbo doesn't have a 'native' email app so I downloaded the Outlook app. Many emails that I 'send' don't show in 'Sent' folder (or received by recipient). Tech support says they're aware of the problem and are working on it. But for now I'm stuck without a trustworthy email app.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAm I the only Droid 2 who is sending double txt messages? And I think it know why its been doing it on the two phones I've used. If you start a message with the touch screen, you get lazy and open the keyboard and finish the message. Close the screen after you click send. 75% of the time you will send a double text message.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhile I was working from my laptop for a few days I didn't want mail being duplicated on to my Xoom too so I did something that prevented mail from downloading.I have two email accounts set up and they have both worked fine previously. One is an Exchange account and the other is not.Unfortunately I can't remember what I did and now that I want to receive email on my tablet again I can't do it. Can't even send a test message. I've gone through account settings and my server details are correct, got it set to 15 minutes inbox check, ticked email notifications, got the servers checked to sync, etc. What other settings am I missing that may be behind this problem
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just used the Email app that came with my Defy to send a message for the first time. The only trouble is that it didn't send. It is sat in the outbox not actually doing anything. what I can do about it to try and get it to send it? I just don't see much in the way of options.
I have looked at the settings for the different email accounts I have and that particular one all the settings for incoming and outgoing servers are correct and just the same as they are in outlook on my computer.
I first noticed it when a buddy sent me a picture from his HTC one . It was very small and not very detailed. I picked mine up on Friday and noticed when I sent a picture to my friends through mms that it was only sending 32 kb size pictures. The actual photos are .91 mb's. My question is short of emailing the picture is there anyway to send the photo in full resolution over mms? The stock messaging allows for up to 2mb so why does it compress it so much. I have switched to sending pictures with handcent, but that is not a real practical solution.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to lollipop on my turbo. Overall, I like it quite a bit. However, I noticed this morning that when my phone connects via Bluetooth to my car, it no longer displaying the contact photos on the car display. It was working fine immediately before the installation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my Droid Razr cannot receive an mp3 through MMS if it is over 54 seconds in length. Anything under 54 seconds comes through no problem.
some background. I am a paramedic and we are paged from a central dispatch. When this page goes out we have software that will record it and send it via MMS to our phones.as a secondary paging for some reason if it is over 54 seconds in length I will get the txt but not the file. This goes the same if it is emailed to me. It is not just my phone my co worker has a Droid Razr also and has same problem. other co workers with casio, LG and other phones get them with no problem so I have concluded it is Motorola that has put this in. Spent long times with Verizon and Motorola supports with no success (dont think they understand what I mean)
I took an mp3 and started cutting it back second by second until I was able to recieve it this is how I know 54 seconds is the magic length. also the file is only 500k so well under the size limit.
now to make things a bit more compicated. If I connect to the computer and d/l the file to my phone it will work. I can even txt said file back to myself and recieve it but if I txt it to my phone from computer again it will not let me have the file.
I noticed that when I get messages (usually MMS with pictures) from my someone who sent the message to multiple recipients, if I touch the icon at the top of the message thread, next to "Multiple Recipients", with the four greyed out heads (where the normal contact picture is), I'm able to see who else the message was sent to. This includes people and phone numbers that I do not have in my contacts list. I'm concerned about this, because if I were to be the one sending a message to multiple recipients, I could see a situation where I would send it to multiple people but not want to disclose everyone's phone number to everyone else. Isn't this a privacy concern or violation? There should be a way to turn this off on the sending end.
View 15 Replies View Relatedhaven't seen this issue brought up yet but it is being talked about on the verizon community website. have you guys noticed that the droid razr does not recieve or send all text messages. it is very random and does not always happen with the same person or service carrier.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
I just purchased a motorola photon Q 4GLTE. Used to have the Samsung Moment. On this motorola I can take videos in HD 1080 or HD 720 and 3 other lower settings but none of them will send via text or email. Message says the file is to large and to use the Video MMS setting. I used that setting and the quality of the video is awful and the sound is almost inaudible. but it will send in a text. How can I send or convert my HD videos to mms and send them via text and email? Do I only have the option of the video MMS mode? If so....I would much rather have my samsung moment back. took much better pictures and sent high quality videos. I have searched high and low and went to a sprint repair store and there are no answers to my problem. The store said they are made like that and don't have good quality mms settings. I can't believe this is so. Is there an app or a setting to fix this problem

View 9 Replies View Related I waited to purchase a tablet for 2 years, waiting for what I felt would be the perfect tablet. I researched for those 2 years and finally the XY Board came out! I was thrilled. I told my husband and he purchased it for me [10.1] 32gb for Christmas- through Verizon. I was a little upset that ICS was not on it yet but "it was coming soon". It took me a little time to figure out how to set it up exactly how I liked it but it was worth it. Then I started to notice a few issues: It was very difficult to turn on and off - that button in the back is a pain - but it is what it is It "froze" at first just once in a while but as time went on almost 3-6 times a week. It had a hard time staying connected to my INTERNET connection, now considering I have other computers, TV's that use the same Comcast INTERNET I assume my router and wifi are OK since they do not have issues. I could never get the MOTOPRINT to work, one of the reasons I wanted this tablet, so I just purchased a new printer that should work better with it, we'll see. But right now I cannot because I was having some problems charging. Sometimes I would get a message saying that I needed to use the cord that came with the tablet or it would charge slower [only plug I had was the one that came with it so I had no idea what it was talking about]. Finally it stopped charging so now I cannot turn it on at all
So I went to Verizon and I was told they would send a board for me to use to and I was to use that box to send back my tablet,it would be about 5 business days till I got the box. It was a holiday and I figured it would be longer. To shorten this part-I was given wrong info. they do not give replacement tablets when they are fixing them so I am out my tablet while it is being fixed, What I'm worried about is the fact that that I have pictures on that tablet that I have not moved over, Apps that I have not backed up, music I downloaded from other than Google and Amazon, which I purchased - So there is a good chance I will lose everything. I am not a happy camper. I looked up every problem and did all the fixes as they were available - but I can't fix this.
So I noticed that when I send an email through Exchange. I end up sending anywhere between 3 and 15 emails. and also get a "message not sent" display at the notifcation bar. My other incoming emails (except gmail) I get between 10 and 20 copies of emails coming in. I have tried restarting, reinitializing the email clients. etc with no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed with the RAZR that when composing a text in landscape mode you actually have to click "done" and then "send" but not if the phone is positioned normal. Can this be changed? I tend to forget to hit send thinking I did when I select done.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is odd and Motorola Tech support has no idea. For some reason photos taken in portrait end up in lanscape and upside down (sideways) to recipient when sent via MMS. I have sent test pics to myself and three other phones, HTC, Bionc and S3 they all recieve them in lanscape. this didn't happen with my old T-bolt! Portrait photo's were sent and received as portrait.Motorola could not not confirm if this is an issue as they have nothing noted. They didn't have a phone with service to test. They want me to do a full restore and then send the phone in if that doesn't work. I want to make sure this issue is just confined to my phone before I go down the replacement road. I'm still with-in my 14 day Verizon return time and if this is an issue for all M's, it's a deal breaker. Can someone text an mms picture to themself taken portrait and see if they recieve it in portrait? That would be very beneficial for both myself and Motorola. Not sure if it matters but my phone askes me if I want to resize photo every time I try to send via text.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, I have a Droid Turbo that will not send emails with a few photos coming to about 15 MB. Same thing happens with our Razr M and Droid Minis, but my iPhone 6 doesn't seem to have an issue. Thought I could do something similar as the iPhone and choose what size I want the photos to be when I send (to at least make the email smaller), but I can't seem to find anything like that either. We are running Exchange 2010 and do not have any email size requirements set for incoming/outgoing mail or for the ActiveSync policy. They just sit in the Outbox until I delete them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had an app on my droid that allowed me to password protect my pictures and also had one that allowed me to assign a folder to them that was not easy to acess. I had to do a reset on my phone and now I can't get to those pictures. They are still on the sd card because I can get to them if i plug into my computer. I have written the developers of the apps but have not gotten any response.
