Randomly my phones sdcard will become "read only" and it won't save anything to it.In the past I've rebooted the phone to fix it but this time that didn't work. After removing the card to see if my pc would recognize it, which it did, I made a copy of it and put it back in my phone and restarted it and it's fine.....for now. I backed everything up but this is getting old now. Anybody else having this problem
View 14 RepliesI use a couple of applications that find their resources in the sdcard, but I like storing my files in the external sdcard. I'm a user that comes from the Samsung Captivate, so it was never a problem for me because Samsung phones access the external sdcard by means of a symlink from inside the internal sdcard doing something like/sdcard/external_sdBut with the Atrix is completely different since the mount points are/mnt/sdcard and there's a symlink to /sdcardAnd the external sdcard is/mnt/sdcard-ext with a symlink to /sdcard-extIs there a workaround for achieving what I need to do? I believe it's not possible to create a symlink because of the filesystem used in the sdcard, but I might be wrong.

This looks very scary. I am not completely sure what is causing this. However, my suspicsion is on an app called My Data Manager. This app tracks the data and time used by every app.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that with the Gingerbread update there are now two sdcard mount points: "sdcard" and "sdcard-ext".I don't think the "sdcard-ext" was there in Froyo. "sdcard" still points to my removable SD Card card and "sdcard-ext" is empty.What is the "sdcard-ext" used for on the D2G? On the X2 it is the actual removable SD Card, while "sdcard" refers to internal memory that a user can access.

I am able to put a link there and access a web page, simply by typing a web address (e.g. http://www.sample.com), which converts to a link after I close and re-open the task. From an open browser window, I am also able to access a file that exists on my SDCard (e.g. file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/documents/sample.pdf will go fetch the file and then open my default PDF reader just as it ought to). But when I type "file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/...etc..." into the notes section, it remains as text, and does not get recognized as/ converted to a link to the file.
id like to buy one of those over 3000mah batteries for my atrix 2 , but where i live i can only find this batteries for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.

What is the best way to correct the dates? It would take a lot of time to change every single picture since there are around 150 pictures to be changed individually. Is this maybe a mistake of the media cache??
My Titanium Backup license file (txt) was not recognized on the sdcard. I tried almost everything. Uninstalled, reinstalled and so on. I also placed the file in the mnt/sdcard folder what didn't wok. I owned several devices and never had a single problem. There must be something nexus specific?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced my cliq with the cliq 2 today. When I moved my 2gb sandisk sd card into my new phone, the phone was unable to recongnize that it contained the card. It worked perfectly fine on my old phone, so I put it back in my old phone, transferred the files from the card onto my computer to save them, and then formatted the card. I put the card back into my new phone and it still doesn't recognize it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedUsing K9 to monitor my msn.com account, when I read an email on the PC it does not change the status of the email on the Droid to show as read. Same issue the other way, if I read an email on the Droid the same email shows as not read on the PC.
Is there a setting some place within K9 that will mark the PC email as read and allow the sever to mark an email as read on the Droid?
I have an SD card the says "MICRO HC 8GB co8G Taiwan". It has a little circle that has a "4" in it. My Droid X2 is reading it as a 4 GB card and says it's full even though most of my apps are in the internal memory. When downloading app data it says there's enough room. When I removed the SD card, there are a number of apps that are checking as being on the SD card. When I "Move to media area" it changes to "Move to phone" which suggests that it just move the app to the SD card...which in not in the phone!
Is this a programing problem with the phone where it's not finding the SD card at all, or is this a faulty SD card?
Can anyone shed light on the SD card issue.Was it activated as read only on purpose or is this a bug. Will everyone be satisfied with a read only SD card?

This seemed to happen since the last software update. Before that, it worked fine.The phone simply does not recognize any Micro SD cards. I tried 2 different micro sds and the same thing happened.
The buttons where it says"Mount SD card" are always disabled(shaded). And the phone does not let me erase data from SD card either.I tried the reset from Privacy>Factory Reset. Same thing happened. It reset the phone but it still does not read Micro SD.
i updated my cliq2 system to 1.1.30 yesterday.But mobile can't read the SD card.I have two SD cards.One is the original 2G sd card,the other is kingston 8G sd card i bought previously.
I am sure of the 2 SD card is OK.i can use them in my PC.And i tried them in my friend's phone.They can work too.Then i formated them.But still can't be read in my 1.1.30 Cliq2.
Now i set my Cliq2 back to the 1.0.23 system again.phone can read SD card right.
