When I use QuickOffice I can't locate my saved documents.I see them in file manager only...When I look at the file info from File Manager,it shows the location /mnt/sdcard...Are some programs locked out to some folders?
View 15 RepliesI use a couple of applications that find their resources in the sdcard, but I like storing my files in the external sdcard. I'm a user that comes from the Samsung Captivate, so it was never a problem for me because Samsung phones access the external sdcard by means of a symlink from inside the internal sdcard doing something like/sdcard/external_sdBut with the Atrix is completely different since the mount points are/mnt/sdcard and there's a symlink to /sdcardAnd the external sdcard is/mnt/sdcard-ext with a symlink to /sdcard-extIs there a workaround for achieving what I need to do? I believe it's not possible to create a symlink because of the filesystem used in the sdcard, but I might be wrong.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have observed daily files (see attached) created in a folder /mdm/facetime in my SDCard. Looking at the contents, it keeps a log of the applications I used throughtout each day.
This looks very scary. I am not completely sure what is causing this. However, my suspicsion is on an app called My Data Manager. This app tracks the data and time used by every app.
Randomly my phones sdcard will become "read only" and it won't save anything to it.In the past I've rebooted the phone to fix it but this time that didn't work. After removing the card to see if my pc would recognize it, which it did, I made a copy of it and put it back in my phone and restarted it and it's fine.....for now. I backed everything up but this is getting old now. Anybody else having this problem

1) How do I find the folder where apps are stored? I have an external SD card and when I view it with file manager or via USB on PC I can see the folders but I can't see most of the folders that are on internal storage.
2) How do I get album art to show across multiple media players? I have Cover Art Downloader installed and it found nearly all of album artwork but unfortunately it doesn't show up on stock media player, MixZing, etc.
I have a Motorola Atrix and have some files (pdf's, doc's, etc) that I would like to be able to access straight from my homescreen. Right now they are in a folder under files saved to my device. I tried to create a new folder on the homepage and add them to it, but once the new folder was created I could find no way to add contents to it. how to add contents to a folder on the homescreen?
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday may be the first time I attempted to transfer photos from my Atrix to the PC. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64bit. After connection via cable, I select USB Mass Storage for the USB connection. Windows throws up a box that asks "Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk?" I select "continue without scanning. In Windows Explorer there appear to be far fewer folders on the card than when viewing in Astro, but I did not do an exhaustive check. Of immediate concern is that the Camera folder is not visible under DCIM, thus I can't retrieve my photos over the cable. Should I back up the card directly to the PC via microSD adapter then let Windows scan and fix next time over cable?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that with the Gingerbread update there are now two sdcard mount points: "sdcard" and "sdcard-ext".I don't think the "sdcard-ext" was there in Froyo. "sdcard" still points to my removable SD Card card and "sdcard-ext" is empty.What is the "sdcard-ext" used for on the D2G? On the X2 it is the actual removable SD Card, while "sdcard" refers to internal memory that a user can access.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a droid turbo. When i throw my music into my music folder that appears after plugging my phone into the computer, i cant find it on my phone. I will either put MP3s directly into the "music" folder, or i will create another folder within the music player, name it after the band or album, and then put the mp3s into that newly created folder. Then upon rebooting my phone, the music doesn't appear in the music player application. Though if i do put music into my "downloads" folder i am able to find it, though with this method i am unable to organize the music at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to transfer my music, ringtones to my new atrix 4g and from what I have gathered from various postings I need to make separate folders for everything...such as notifications, ringtones, and texting tones. Seems kind of silly to me since some of these files have dual functionality and I do not want to have the same file in multiple folders to serve different purposes.
If there is a list of suggested folder locations/names for the atrix either on an sd card or the onboard memory I cant seem to find it anywhere. To sum up my request I would hopefully like a single folder where I can have all my tones for ringtones, notifications tones, and alarm clock tones including being able to attach specific ringtones to contacts in my address book.
Is there a way on the Xoom with ICS to create folder on the homescreens (like on my Atrix or an iPad) to organize icons or do we still need to use 3rd party apps for that kind or function?

ALL of MY apps didn't switch from 9000 to 9800. Haven't been able to set up BB email or GMail. No themes transfered. The 'option' page is strange..nothing like 9000, can't even find memory, etc. Anyone got theirs figured out yet?

The folder that I think I hid still shows on my screen that lists my picture folders, but now it's showing as empty. I'm pretty sure I selected to hide the whole folder, and didn't actually delete everything in it.... I googled how to "unhide" photos, and it keeps telling me to go into media and "explore" but there is no "explore" option anywhere in my menu or even in the options submenu.
