I have a Motorola Atrix and have some files (pdf's, doc's, etc) that I would like to be able to access straight from my homescreen. Right now they are in a folder under files saved to my device. I tried to create a new folder on the homepage and add them to it, but once the new folder was created I could find no way to add contents to it. how to add contents to a folder on the homescreen?

Random icons create an additional homepage on your Atrix HD? I tend to keep my phone's home pages as minimalistic as possible, only have one, and use Circle launcher on that one page to access my most used apps. Occasionally my phone adds a shortcut to a random app on a second homepage, sometimes its an Icon for an app that no longer is installed on the device. I really like the ability on the Moto devices to customize the # of start screens, the swipe up features of the locked icons at the bottom of the screen for a quick glance is a really nice touch, works great.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a little underwhelmed with the Gmail application on the Atrix. After coming from an Iphone one of the glaring deficiencies with this mail app is that I cannot resize html email content. I don't see any other options for mail on this phone, am I stuck with this app for mail? Is it part of the MotoBlur suite? I like the MotoBlur messaging tools or not. I want to like it because it seems like a great idea but it also seems a bit too cumbursome and non-intuitive. I'll try it a bit longer to see if it grows on me or not.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got a S6 Edge. In the app drawer there are four folders (Google, Verizon, Samsung, Tools and Amazon) with apps in them. I would like to delete one of those folders and put the apps individually into the app drawer. It won't let me do this. I can move apps from the app drawer to the home pages but not the other way around. Is there a way to do this?

View 15 Replies View RelatedToday may be the first time I attempted to transfer photos from my Atrix to the PC. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64bit. After connection via cable, I select USB Mass Storage for the USB connection. Windows throws up a box that asks "Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk?" I select "continue without scanning. In Windows Explorer there appear to be far fewer folders on the card than when viewing in Astro, but I did not do an exhaustive check. Of immediate concern is that the Camera folder is not visible under DCIM, thus I can't retrieve my photos over the cable. Should I back up the card directly to the PC via microSD adapter then let Windows scan and fix next time over cable?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to transfer my music, ringtones to my new atrix 4g and from what I have gathered from various postings I need to make separate folders for everything...such as notifications, ringtones, and texting tones. Seems kind of silly to me since some of these files have dual functionality and I do not want to have the same file in multiple folders to serve different purposes.
If there is a list of suggested folder locations/names for the atrix either on an sd card or the onboard memory I cant seem to find it anywhere. To sum up my request I would hopefully like a single folder where I can have all my tones for ringtones, notifications tones, and alarm clock tones including being able to attach specific ringtones to contacts in my address book.
Is there a way on the Xoom with ICS to create folder on the homescreens (like on my Atrix or an iPad) to organize icons or do we still need to use 3rd party apps for that kind or function?

Also, for some reason when I try and watch episodes of Star Wars The Clone Wars, from the official website, I doesn't show anything using the firefox browser or using the apps browser in mobile view. If I open my movies folder its blank, no avi files. The kicker is if I copy and past the .avi files on the phone then past them to another folder, ie the books folder, it shoes the .avi files when I look for them while connected tovm PC.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my xperia Z2. i've been on the net for hours searching for the answer but all they've said was just to soft restart it which i did but to no success of fixing it.
I updated my phone from kitkat to the new android lolipop. everything went fine. everything was great. but suddenly just this morning a problem concerning my notifcation bar arise.
My problem is swiping down my notification bar. it works fine on the lock screen but when the moment i unlock my phone, i cant easily swipe it down. i have to linger my hand from the top bezzle slowly swiping my thumb so that the notification bar would respond. i dont have all day to do this. i tried activating the show touch option to see how my touch responded to the screen. and there i think is the problem. there is this small gap between the bezzle and the top screen of my Z2.
Now the tricky thing to this problem is, why would my lockscreen-notification-bar-swipe work but my homepage swiping of the notification bar wont? they have the same gap of the touch between the bezzle and the screen when I touch the upper most part of the screen yet both work differently in terms of the responsiveness of the notification bar.
I could always have kindle on my home screen but now, it won't save anywhere and my previous version disappeared?
