Need would like a free app so while i am driving i can hear my text message n i can speak the rely and it will text back to them.
i am getting text message on my phone and i want to hear them n i could replay back to them by speech and it will text back to them. i have a blue tooth speaker that i used in my car.
I have a problem with my Torch. Each message I receive (emails and SMS) is read to me by my phone. How do I turn this 'feature' off?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I click from either the "Notification" screen, or the Text Message List, I am directed to the wrong text messaging thread. This doesn't happen every time, it happens every day, and multiple times, however. Usually, when I reboot the phone, the problem is gone...momentarily.
It seems to happen with random messages. I use Universal Inbox and currently see message from text, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and my AT&T mail.
If I use the stock Text Messaging app, I can open the list of messages and see whatever I can from the preview there, but when I click to open the thread, it will open a totally random message thread. Weird. I'm not that into text messaging, but it does annoy me when I need to use it and I can't open individual messages because the wrong ones are appearing.
I don't know if this is a device problem, a software/app problem, an AT&T messaging problem or what. I'm somewhat ignorant about smartphones and have only had this Atrix 2 for about three months.

The cursor selector goes to the end of the visible part of the text box but the remaining text does not scroll to the right for editing purposes. Before when the magnifying glass was used, the text would scroll.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a problem (perhaps since .905, maybe an update before that) with Text Messages not being shown as being read after you've read them? It is getting really annoying... I get a text message, I read it, and I go to look at a new text message and there it is looking all Unread! It may even make an indicator appear in the top bar (but I'm not 100% positive about that). I've seen this problem arise on PC's in Outlook, but it's definitely never been a problem of mine with cell phones before.

The 2nd time (same day) I hit cancel after I heard the message and since then it will not pop up and read me the message anymore. The only topics I can find on this are how to turn this feature off, I like this feature and want to know how to turn it back ON.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI unfortunately just cracked my display. This means that the screen never lights up and the touch screen doesn't work. I can pretty much only use the voice commands to call people in my contacts and that is it.
I was hoping/wondering if there was some way to read text messages on my computer when I have my phone plugged in through USB. I can't use the web app since I hadn't signed up for Verizon Online and it requires getting a code through text message. I figure the phone has to store the messages somewhere so I should be able to access them using my computer.
Randomly my phones sdcard will become "read only" and it won't save anything to it.In the past I've rebooted the phone to fix it but this time that didn't work. After removing the card to see if my pc would recognize it, which it did, I made a copy of it and put it back in my phone and restarted it and it's fine.....for now. I backed everything up but this is getting old now. Anybody else having this problem

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking of abandoning the I-Phone altogether because of two annoyances that get only worse, not better, with time. But if any newer I-Phone (I currently have the 3GS) has removed these annoyances, I will upgrade.
1. I want txt alerts to continue (every minute or two) until I have opened and read a text message. Does any model I-Phone allow for this?
2. I want to disable predictive text as I don't like the I-Phone algorhthym for this -- it causes me endless grief. Which model allows for this?
3. I want my battery to last a minimum of 2 days without charging (I've tried all the usual ways of reducing battery consumption and the result does not meet my needs). Does any model I-Phone allow for this?

On several occasions my wife has not received my text messages. (It happens every now and then.) I see the receipt, on my phone, that it was sent to her, but she didn't receive it. Does that mean there is something wrong with my phone or her's. I use Handcent SMS app. and my wife has a Palm Pre Plus phone. Note: This happened a few times with my backflip too.

I'm not for certain (hadn't noticed), but I think my phone was not originally doing this and it started about a week after I got it.What happens is that all images I receive in MMS text messages, appear to be the same image. Say I received a picture of a dog from one contact. All future images received, from all contacts, appear as the exact same picture of the dog. However, if I hold my finger down on the image and select "view picture", the picture will display correctly. If I save it to my gallery, etc, it appears correctly. But it continues to display incorrectly in the text messaging conversation itself.I tried rebooting my phone, and all this did was update the "universal" image to the most recent image I received. All images were still displaying the same thing. I've also tried Googling this problem and haven't found anything about it so far.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to fing out what happened to the ability to select multiple contact to send or forward a text message or email by ticking the "head" icon, which brings up your phone contacts list and then checking off the contacts you want to send to. All I can see is you have to select them one at a time using auto complete in the "to" field. Is there a way to select them like we used to? If not, then when can I expect Moto to send an update that fixes this? This was an option on all previous Adroid releases, so why is not there now? I know I can create groups, but that is just ignorant, I dont send to the same people every time, so groups are a waste of time.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi already had a moto defy that could support delivery reports in text messaging,now im on Atrix, my device is international, but there was not any option to activate delivery reports on sms setting,so i installed sql editor from market & changed the value of "sms-mms-delivery-reports" from 0 to 1the option discovered in sms setting but it didnt work (attached photo)also i tested other apps like GoSmS & ... but they didnt work too,i've tested this method on froyo and also othet 2.3.4 roms based on 4.5.91 AT&T and 2.3.4ORFR, but nothing at all,why moto have missed this trivial option in a high end smartphone?this is critical for me & i dont want to sell my phone just for this, i love moto, i love my atrix, but what should i do?

Since day one the app will link to the wrong message from the preview, either in the Universal Inbox, the Notifications, or the Text Messages list. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my (stock) phone app set up to announce an incoming caller's name (if a contact) or phone number (if not). Lately (ever since the update to .83 I think, but I can't be 100% sure) this has gone weird on me, announcing "Call from <caller's name or number>...head north...head north...." Because I always do what my phone tells me to I am now seriously considering moving to Canada.It's an inconsequential problem at worst, but I just thought I'd report it here. It is always the same: two repetitions of "head north." Note that Navigation is not loaded or running when this occurs (according to both "Manage Applications" under Settings, and also Task Manager), and GPS is not on. Clearly, something in text-to-speech is corrupted. [Edit:] The problem continues to occur after reboot.

Before the update, I use to be able to just double hit the space bar to make a period. Now, I've noticed that depending on the last word I typed, it will also throw in another word that it "thinks" I'm going to enter.
